Absolutely loved the Sam/Diane love story, but believe the show would've only lasted another year had Shelley Long stayed. Only thing left was marriage and baby. I know they brought Diane back for the finale, but for me their story ended with Sam's fantasy of living to a ripe old age with his "incompatible, insufferable adorable" Diane!
They didn’t add the best part of the Cape Cod episode where Sam tried to make Diane think his date was still there by messing up the sheets throwing the food on the ground and telling an old lady, “I’ll give you $50 if you make some weird noises in the bathroom.”
