Trivia: Frasier was telling people his father Marty was dead, this is brought up in the Frasier series when the Cranes visit Boston. And I cant imagine Martin Crane having a pet owl named Plato, but puppy Eddie would've had fun with him. Haha.
He also stated in an another cheers episode that he was from a rich family and that he went hunting with his father
He said the owl died.
And he made it seem like he was an only child. I loved the way they addressed these continuity issues in the episode of Frasier Sam was in. Martin and Niles' reactions were hilarious. He had also said Martin was a scientist.
So frasier is a liar?
@@Gomezli16 I like to think he created the family life he wished he had, and the family he spoke of in Cheers was a figment of his imagination to give the impression he was more upper crust and less pizza crust.
trying to imagine martin crane owning a pet owl is not that easy
I like to think it was Hester's pet that Marty briefly took ownership of after she died, but the dates are off by 2 years.
Instead, I assume frasier simply got stuck with this thing somehow, invented a backstory to try and offload it and then just gave up all pretence at the end (If we even bother retroactively examining this)
Don’t try too hard since Marty cranes character didn’t even exist before the spin off. Catch 22
I rewatched Cheers recently and noticed that John Mahoney appeared in the show as a completely different character. So did Peri Gilpin, aka Roz!
Well, technically, Frasier's dad was re-written for FRASIER. In CHEERS, Frasier's dad was also a psychiatrist (before he died).

Actually I'd say Frasier's closest friend was Sam and vice versa. Like when Lilith sent Frasier divorce papers and he was depressed it was Sam who was the most concerned and got everybody to go over to his place and cheer him up. They went from rivals to the best of friends.
Frasier had money, so he could buy Norm beer.
Out of all the characters of Cheers, Frasier is my absolute favorite and was often the funniest. Then after him in order of funniest is Sam, Woody, Carla, Rebecca, Norm, Cliff, Lilith, Coach and Diane. I love them all!

So funny how frazier says his dad was dead. His dad obviously was a cast member on frazier. When sam guest starred we got some good stuff. When he asked why frazier said his dad was dead Frazier said " I was mad at him he called me a stuffed shirt & hung up on me. Its also hard to believe his dad the ex cop was married to another doctor. She was on Cheers , hated diane & tried to pay sam to romance diane away lol.
Frasier had appeared on 3 shows incl Wings. Will you include that?
Diane chambers had a good heart but she put Sam through hell for sure.

Diane was pretentious and utterly annoying. Frasier was pretentious and utterly endearing. The difference? Frasier never took himself too seriously while Diane believed her own hype.
Thought Frasier dad was a retired cop.
