HEY! Point Blank Range!! Thats my spot! Im starting to get my red dot sight pistol ready. This is a good video to help explain what to do. Thanks Brian!
This single video improved my red dot accuracy 100 fold. My Springfield XDS MOD 2 with only a 3.3 inch barrel eaily eats up the bulls eye at 20 yards.
Great video.
Best explanation and demonstration
Great advice. Thanks
forget melatonin, Im putting this in my favorites for nights I cant get to sleep!
Good explanation. Thanks.
Great explanation will have to try that
I think the dot is a "virtual image" projected at "infinity", as far as I can tell it seems to focus the same as the target, and I can see it with ordinary glasses. It's not magic! I get roughly the same result with iron sights, but it's much more trouble! Also I don't have a clear idea of what I've just done, there's not nearly the feedback. And YET I struggled with a local eyeglass place today for some time to get a prescription just for pistol shooting and didn't quite get it arranged. If I CAN talk someone into making them, I think I can stay with Iron Sights for a few more years, avoid having everything modified to TAKE optical devices, and also not have the weird wrong feeling of putting BATTERIES in antique revolvers!
Nice Video. Thanks!
thank you sir
Thank you.
Hey Brian, I’ve been shooting a lot of red dot sights over the last many years as my eyes get older. In the last few years I’ve gotten into 50 foot slow fire 22 bullseye and am experimenting with sizes and manufacturers. In this video what sight are you using and what dot size. It looks like an Ultradot. Thanks for the info, enjoy watching your videos.

Makes sense
That range looks familiar.
Curios why you transition from white to black area starting high then progressing down.
I KNOW YOUR A GREAT SHOOTER BUT AT 3 MIN IM FALLING ASLEEP, LOL
so? Just press "pause" and have a little nap.
Just getting started with red dot sights, does the red dot need to be centered in the field of view? Semper Fi.
Yes
No. The red dot just needs to be on your target.
Some are parallax free or at least advertise it like that. Up to a certain distance you just need it on the target, but if it's further away you can be way off if it isn't centered. Keep in mind that our eyes make it very easy to find the center in a circle, not in a rounded offf rectangle. So it will have benefits if your red dot is in a circle. With enough dry fire practice you'll find your center with the others too. Also ask yourself why you want to buy one. Do you follow a trend? For the money of a good red dot, you can go to some cool courses as well.
Large or small dot? Heard both arguments. I use 2 moa.
It all depends on what distance you shoot at and your eyes. If you have the back of your thumb close to your face, you can hide a car behind it but you'll pick it up quickly. It might also depend on how big your field of vision with that particular sight is and what wavelength the light has. The further away your target is, the smaller dot I'd choose.
There are also some systems that use multiple dots for different distances.

What did he say?
I forgot what this video is about🤔
Umm K Hank Hill 6.32 lol
Very long-winded explanation...
Hard to listen to. Needs to be more concise.
Skip to 6:00 you will thank me later
Thanks
The way he whips these guns around and where he points them, make me cringe.
I cannot believe this video didn't start with a demonstration that both weapons were in a safe condition. Opportunity missed NRA.
Omg. RUclips police are ya?
If you need to learn that you are probably on wrong channel.. We are adults here
Geez, one of my pet peeves is how so many instructors over-do the “safe & clear” gun.
You cannot get shot from a video kids.
Just like you don’t need to wear a mask on a zoom call just because someone is scared of Covid. It’s v-i-d-e-o. You are not in the same room. Breathe.
I don't care if you wave around a loaded gun in a video. Are you that afraid or anti gun?
Teaching outdated and antiquated techniques.
IrishSavage87 Really, outdated and antiquated? Can you out shoot Brian Zins? Do you even know who he is, sir? ‘Cause I doubt you do.
