Love love love this gel. I like that it weighs the curls down and is perfect against humidity, just let humidity break the cast for longer lasting hair in summer! I do not use water to refresh, my hair takes forever to dry. So I’ll just put it in a ponytail for a few days or wash it.
I have a huge tub of the original extreme gel that I bought for $5. I use it for pulling my hair back and on washdays when I need strong hold and long lasting results. I find its kind of water resistant too!

B. i tried this line but my jar had a clear top. when i applied it to my hair it made my hair shed. I had too much shedding. My staple jel is eco styler with the flax seed well, its the one that is in the green and black jar. Never had a problem with shedding with my staple jel or any other jel until i put the wet line in my hair. Flip side it defined my curls. Con its crunchy but I dont mind that...big pet peeve it made my hair shed while applying it. I know this line works for other curly girls... it just didnt work for me and I will not buy it again. I love the Original one it was literally the best one I have ever used. But I did notice the new formula isn't as good and I LOVE a major cast and crunch because I live in Florida and it is humid AF most of the year. I leave the cast on and allow just movement and humidity to little by little break it down. It lasts me much longer and with the original, I could get like 3-day hair out of it, which never happened before. Now I get like maybe 2 without refreshing. I did find a smaller container of what I thought was the original formula one and got a couple of those, but when they arrived it was not the old formula and then I was stuck with two 32 oz ones.
When I refresh my hair gets so frizzy, so I am learning that my hair likes to be washed twice a week🤷. I did not think you need to resfresh, your hair looked good!
Ok, this might be a long 1, so fair warning! I've used 2 of the previous formulas then called Wetline Xtreme gel. I found it in the Latinx hair products section. I'm from So. Cali, so no biggie. Anywho, the older clear was just ok. I preferred the Green/Aloe version. There used to be 3 different versions: Clear/Original, Green/Aloe Vera, & Blue/Oil. Some people didn't notice any difference between them, others (like myself) however... The original was decent for standard humidity/moderate dew points coming from offshore. But when using it, in a very humid/high dews, Southern region? No bueno, I literally had to struggle with it past day 1! I choose the green on a whim. Superior hold, even during the rare, super humidity back home. I also noticed it was less drying on my hair, overtime. While I could use it solo, I had to use a leave-in with the former clear Wetline. The manufacturers changed the formula because the #Eco-StyleGate a while back on RUclips. There's probably some videos still up, somewhere. Anyway, some ppl were having terrible reactions, many were legitimate allergic reactions, others weren't necessarily specific. The ingredient, Triethanolamine aka TEA, was the main trigger. Blah, blah, tl;dr. So Eco-Style noticed the loss of profits & pulled it from some of their gels at the time. Wetline Xtreme went a step further and reformulated their main bestselling gel! Changed the products, container, & even part of the name. Rebranded primarily as Xtreme, with Wetline no longer the main focus. I'll admit at 1st... I, too, was skeptical of it. But, I found I prefer this version to be the best! It's still the least drying on my hair! Holds up great in humidity, & the more recent unpredictable dew points! I don't need to use a stronger gel for those tricky areas, that even, the older versions just didn't have enough hold. It was a gripe then, but it's a cheap gel so... Now, I get the issues with ppl being annoyed over the formula change! I do! But I'm glad that this version also works for so many more people! Thanks for the vid!! 💖💖💖

Hi Love your results, beautiful as usual. I used to use the original formula but can no longer find. The new formula has Sodium Hydroxide (Lye used in relaxers) due to this I returned mine. I did some research and found it’s also used as a ph balancer in hair products. Even though it could be at a small percentage it still concerns me. What are your thoughts on this?

Hello, nice to see you again, we met in NYC last year at the curly hair event in Queens. I have a question. I have 2 girls with very curly hair, about type 3c-4a. 10 and 14 years old. They have a lot of hair. Would you say the "Not your mother's" products are similar to these LUS products? I'm looking for the best option for them, economically, the "Not your mother" products cost less and bring more. But I want to make sure they will be good for them. What do you suggest?

That’s actually one of my cousins favorite gels. I like all natural things so I try to stay away from it. But I do have to agree... it gives her amazing results.

Your results look good! I use that gel too but I think the original one gave my hair more hold.
Hey bianca!! This video was great! Thanks! I was wondering if you could do a video on products to use when straitening hair. I've been natural for 5 years and by now I don't miss straightening my hair. but I did plan on straightening it only once after 5 years. I've watched a lot of videos and I just don't trust too many peoples opinions. I'm REALLY concerned about heat damage. I know you're not necessarily pro straightened hair, but I know that you won't lead me astray. Got any advice on hair protectants, or best methods?
