wetline has like 9 gels (not exaggerating) the international stores usually have em. here my local Hispanic store has every wet line they have a pink glitter one for kids, a sports one, a men's one, a lady one etc. they just not store wide in major stores
wetline is now owned by germans but was originally a house hold brand made and owned by hispanics. It’s been around for decades before it was bought out.
I see the differences.. the regular wet line clear gives more off a full and defined. The others are good as well but it seems to have to take a little more days for it to give that look look since it's fresh.
Thanks for this video! For me the clear OG Wetline is bae. The blue was doesn't give the hold I like. I've never tried the green or protein one either. I want to try the new one tho. Great video! By the way, you give me Niecy Nash vibes😊
I've never gotten that about Niecy Nash before haha! Typically I feel like the clear gives a better hold too, but for some reason on this particular wash n go I got similar results for all 4 gels! Thank you so much for watching!💕
Love your curls!!! I purchased the blue gel. Am excited to see what it does. I currently use Garnier Fructose. I like it but my hair needs something else
love your hair but the green one is the lightest whole the clear one is the hardest hole in the blue one is in the middle love the way your hair came out 👏🏾👏🏾👍🏽
Wow thank you. In UK we only have the original. All the videos iv seen so far seem to just review the new extreme so i was getting annoyed i wouldn't be able to do this style. Plus your hair is the same length and type as mine...+1 subscriber😊
Ronda Edmonds I never experienced residue from the original clear one, but I have experienced it with the reformulated clear one. I’ve never experienced flaking residue with the blue or green ones.
Try using water with the gel (if you're or already). I've never had flakes with the original clear one, but I use alot of water when I'm applying. Maybe that makes a difference?
I did notice after a few days that the new clear one flaked SLIGHTLY, but I think it's because I used more, since the consistency was lighter and I felt like I needed to lol. I like the consistency of the new one better than the old formula though!
I knowwww! I will say that I have used the new formulation for a wash n go, and the hold is still good even with glycerin so high up on the ingredients list.
?? I feel like I do everything that you did, and my roots still puffy. When you pull the hair out and twist are you doing something that I am not seeing. Nice hair though !!
So I have been using XTREME gel which I was very excited about the way it made my edges look . Then I start to notice my hair was coming out at my edges! I took a closer look at the ingredients in the product thinking it may have alcohol as the culprit and was very shocked to find that it contains SODIUM HYDROXIDE!!!! Sodium hydroxide is LYE!! LYE is used to PERM your hair. I am natural. I don't want straight hair. If you look up Sodium hydroxide this is what it says. Sodium hydroxide is very corrosive. It can cause irritation to the eyes, skin, and mucous membrane; an allergic reaction; eye and skin burns; and temporary loss of hair. TEMPORARY LOSS OF HAIR? REALLY???!!! Sodium hydroxide is Lye which is something used to unclog a drain by disintegrating the hair and stuff in the drain!!!
I understand your concern but please note that in chemistry, sodium hydroxide when not in the first few ingredients of a hair product will NOT act as a straightener. I know it's the main ingredient in relaxers but in the case of the gel, it serves as a balancer and used adjust the pH of the formula of the gel. I'm natural too and have been using wetline for about 4 years and my hair is super curly. Trust me it will NOT straighten your curls and it's NOT the culprit of your hair breakage due to it simply being a ph adjuster, its harmless.. What you described is sodium hydroxide in its form when used alone. Just like in chemistry Na+ alone is not to be ingested, nor is Cl- but when combined, it's table salt which you can ingest. It's the same concept with mixed sodium hydroxide with the other gel ingredients, it's safe. It's chemistry and just balances. This video should be helpful ruclips.net/video/mo9LO5bvJIE/видео.html
I know this is old, but lye is used in many products to adjust ph. It’s not dangerous when used as such. It straightens hair in relaxers because of how much is used. Lye is also used to make soap bars. When it’s used properly it is perfectly fine. This persons hair falling out was likely due to an allergic reaction, which can happen with any product. “Natural” products can cause the same reaction in some people. That explains why the majority of people won’t have this reaction, but a minority might.
I want to know too! I can only find the new one and I don't want that one. I want the old one with the green top. Even when you order online they send you the blue top (even if the pic is the green top).
@@AllThingsMoElle Its not your fault, they got the ingredients wrong on Target too. The new wetline doesn't have TEA or Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.
@@disneytoysr4fun975 I was definitely looking at that lol I was wondering what's actually different other than the color chemical. Glad you pointed it out!
Love your hair. Question how do you tie up your hair at night do you leave it as it is and put a silk Bonnet on it? I'm not natural but, my daughter is and I'm trying to find what product will work for her so thank you for doing this video.
I do the banding method at night to keep the hair stretched, and then I put the bonnet on top. If you scroll through some of my other videos, I have a night time and morning routine video that shows you exactly what I do! Thanks for watching!
@@AllThingsMoElle okay thanks! Thanks for responding also I have posted on several pages that same question and it has been crickets until you! You have a new subscriber!
I wouldn’t recommend a gel like this if you don’t want your hair weighed down. You might want to try something with a lighter hold, like a cream based styling product or even a mousse.
Please be careful with this product. If you look at the ingredients, it contains sodium hydroxide which is a main ingredient in relaxers. So much so that no lye relaxers specify on the front that they are “sodium hydroxide” free. It’s used in hair products - especially ones that serve as straightening treatments - to adjust pH, or the acidity. It’s literally caustic soda which is just another word for lye. So many hair products like shampoos and gels contain it and people don’t even realize it. I wish the natural hair gods would bless us with a safer version for our wash and gos cause Wet line does such a great job 😩😩😩
Well Sodium hydroxide needs to be used in haircare and skincare products to adjust the pH of the product. What else can formulators use to adjust the pH of a product???. Sodium hydroxide isn't harmful when used in good concentration. When it comes to relaxers of course it should be avoided because of the way its formulated, it may have other chemicals that causes damage then sodium hydroxide.

You're hair looks sooo freaking beautiful. I am dumping my Eco gel and buying this brand. Thank you.
Thank you! I still love me some Eco gel but this gel is bomb! Thanks for watching 💕
I am so glad you solve this mystery for me and I don't have to go chasing after all four of them, thanks for the review.

Hi! Just wondering where to find the original one in the UK I’ve been looking all around xx
The clear one leaves a white residue in my hair, but I love the hold. Do the others do the same?

great video! I finally. found my hair twin! Which curl stretch pudding were you referring to???
Selena Prestwidge yay, welcome!! I was referring to the SheaMoisture red palm oil and cocoa butter curl stretch pudding, in the red packaging!
Where did you purchase the green one? I’ve been looking for but can’t find it.
Azlin Reed I’ve only seen it in beauty supply stores. I’ve never seen it in Target or Walmart

awesome review, i even bought a blue cover with green gel ,have anyone use that one?
I haven't used the blue gel with the green lid, but I am currently using the clear gel with the green lid! I love it!
Hate that they moved glycerin up to the second ingredient. Once I run out my green top,idk what I’ll use😩

No I'm not doing anything extra, I just try to really saturate my roots with the product and smooth it down, thats it!

Why in the picture on the Target website, the first ingredient is Sodium Hydroxide? That is what is in chemical relaxers.
Charlene Hill It isn’t the first its the 4th. The ingredients don’t start there
The use of sodium hydroxide, in this case, is to balance the ph of the product.
