The item shop situation is more than "bad" skins. For me it's more of a "why do you bring back a skin that just left instead of the one we've waited 700 days for?" makes you think shop is AI generated. And for newer players like me? It's extremely annoying, cause I have my wishlist of skins I'd love to buy from the shop but cannot until I get a lucky rotation.
I do think that Fortnite is not the Live Event full, storyline filled game that it used to be. However, I think it is still a very good game and still has a little storyline. And I think the fan base needs to chill

The thing is that the crossovers actually made sense. Now as much as I love Peter Griffin, he had absolutely nothing to do with the last season. The whole fun part about the crossovers is how they made them fit. Someone like Darth Vader could get an excuse that it is comedic to see him being a fun, partying person, just like in LEGO Star Wars, but it still doesn’t have the same charm as if they were to do a space season and have Darth Vader.
With a new storyline they could start with a certain character with potential, someone who has recently sticked with us since the start of this chapter. *Hope*
i feel like you stated the issue with the item shops when you said “with the amount of skins in fortnite” that’s exactly the issue! we keep seeing the same handful of cosmetics every week, some even staying for several days in a row. think of how many times we’ve had skull trooper in the shop recently. we have SO many skins, yet they only release the same few. the shops could be way better if they were actually random, i’d love to see a variety of skins rather than the same few every day.
luckily, Festival and RR are handled by different divisions at Epic (Harmonix and Psyonix, respectively); so those can still get their updates LEGO is the one that slows down the BR development, so when the finally add a final boss similar to the Ender Dragon, they can slow down on it’s updates
i think that they should focus a lot on story but gameplay to me is more important. who would wanna play jedi survivor if the mechanics were just: jump, hit, and block. they need to make the story better, yes, but i started playing chapter 5 season 1 and i have so much fun with the game even before i really knew the story. bosses that give you 50 shield and great weapons sure islands that appear in the sky, why not. i still do not know why the island in the sky is there, but i like the game anyway. sure story is still very important, but i like all the gameplay they are giving us. but great video lilsmurf
I’ve been playing Fortnite for 6 years. I love the new modes. They give me something different to do for a few days. I personally think BR has lost its original identity. The Greek mythology theme is cool but I think I’m personally burnt out by the BR concept in general. The game is fun when I play though. Also after level 200 I have no reason to play until they add mini events with free rewards. Festival is my favourite mode out of the new 3. The festival pass is great. But I’ll still always appreciate Fortnite and call it my favourite game ever.

The entire point of fortnite is to be the videogame embodiment pop culture. Sure, gameplay is important, but the single most integral part of the game is its community. Live events used to be massive events that brought the whole community together to see what would be coming to the game next. Without live events, fortnite loses its identity as probably the most community-driven game on the planet. It becomes just another battle royale shooter game. Its lost the one thing that made it unique.
We need more live events again and have more cinematics on Skins like: Brutus, TnTina it gave the character and made them more interesting. More people would care about the character if they kept doing that or comics of characters similar to the Marvel and DC Comics.
I don't think the game will die, but the metaverse push feels like it's hindering the game from going full force like mid chapter 2 and early chapter 3. Live events and stories need fleshed out better. If Epic is gonna collab with all these properties, they need to do a better job at tying them into the lore and over all story of the game like they did with the Marvel and batman comics.
I think epic could actually bring back the seven or the IO but it would either be a Wolverine Logan situation or a hard reboot. For the seven I think a Logan situation could work where the foundation makes his way to reality zero and is trying to get the gang back together because of a NEW IO that is exploiting reality zero and maybe they make a new zero point and control a new loop. Maybe it could bring the other modes into the story like maybe the IO making a new zero point could corrupt the other universes and maybe start pulling them into the BR island where the main thing is happening. Disagree on Rocket Racing being bad, it's like the best one of the new modes in my opinion, but as for the rest of your points I do agree. I think the community has way to much of a rose tinted lens for things they honestly complained about all the time before, but there is a magic in Battle Royale that isn't there anymore. I joined in Chapter 4 Season 2 and while I didn't get to experience the story and events in live time, I can't deny it was pretty cool to look up. Plus, destroy hourglasses to defeat Zeus....really....Kado Thorne had a better settling and he was practically killed offscreen (and then revived later thankfully). Hopefully the story can get going a bit since the ideas show promise, but we may have to wait for Chapter 6 or later for anything resembling the older fortnite style of storytelling given Chapter 5 is so new. Other than that, gameplay has been fire, and despite burnout I find playing all the modes (Except Lego, cuz that mode is lame) and some neat creative maps give me a lot to do and mess around with.

Star Wars is my favorite franchise and my favorite collab in Fortnite and Star Wars has been integrated into the story before as in ch2 s5 Jones recruited the Mandalorian to stop people from escaping the Loop because Jones wanted to recruited bounty hunters to stop people from escaping the Loop and in ch3 s2 the Empire's storm troopers arrived technically returned because the storm troopers most likely arrived in ch2 s1 as there was a trailer for their arrival and the IO recruited the Empire's storm troopers but we need more Star Wars and other collabs in the storyline like the Star Wars event happening right now could have explained how Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Dagobah Luke, and the AWR Trooper arrived to the island and also how Darth Vader and his storm troopers returned

It got really easier to play that game , is now so easy to drift better , so easy to recover , the maps are way easier and the % u get from qualifying top 3 especially 1st place its waaay higher !!! Costmetics definitely help, i started playing fortnite alot more after the Erisa skin dropped and i got her, even in the worst season i paricipated in (ch4 s 3) because Erisas design just appealed alot to me Damn shame when cool skin designs are locked to fortnite though, some of them could very well be in stand alone games

I bet u r just bad in Rocket Racing ! It got really easier to play that game , is now so easy to drift better , so easy to recover , the maps are way easier and the % u get from qualifying top 3 especially 1st place its waaay higher !!! So this mode is way better now , it just sucks it doesnt have the attraction it deserves , its hobestly better than lego imo , cuz I prefer racing over minecraft-fortnite-lego survival stuff but stilll it made me play it , the lego fortnite , so am down for it too ! And fortnite festival is really good as well ! Everything is good , I love the game and I love how they starting to focus mofe more with the storyline cuz at least we have ( mini ) live events , a stoy that AAACTUALLY makes sense , we good dialogues and voice actors back troy baker and the woman who voices hope , we got a nice story continueance in season 3 and I hope it gets even better and ON TOP of that u have another game called Save the World which is a phenomanal game AAND u get vbucks from it !!!??!?( Assuming u r a founder ). Like honestly if they fix the ui and balace the new ui with the old ui...then this game is COMPLETELY FLAWLESS

I think Charlie Wen's story started in ch3 s4 technically as Donald's story ended at Vibin' because why would Donald want the Seven to get chromed however I think that was done to build up the return of the Seven as corrupted versions of themselves meaning Charlie Wen might be cooking
Charlie join epic in 2023 and now he is writing the storyline

as a "Fortnite Hater" the game for me is going downhill, ofc the game is still playable, I have just fallen out of enjoyment for battle royale, this map is honestly the worst one, its so desaturated and bland its like they're trying to be call of duty. However, I do like lego more now that we have star wars, Rocket Racing would be fun if the PHYSICS WERENT MADE BY ABSOLUTE MORONS! And festival is pretty sick

this game has a lot of poetential but i still don't see my self playing this game i've moved on playing R6 siege, Ghostwire Tokyo, GTA 5 ect. . . . i think every season should have new weapons not collab weapons
Costmetics definitely help, i started playing fortnite alot more after the Erisa skin dropped and i got her, even in the worst season i paricipated in (ch4 s 3) because Erisas design just appealed alot to me
Damn shame when cool skin designs are locked to fortnite though, some of them could very well be in stand alone games

i do not think fortnite will ever die its popularity is on the level of a decade old games such as roblox and minecraft heck it even surpassed call of duty in popularity it wont die out as there will always be new players coming to playing the game
Fortnite needs to make a storyline they need more live events they need some original skins and focas more on what Fortnite is as a game

Fortnite won't ever die (probably) because even if most of the popular creators quit there will always be little kids and teenagers who will play the game especially with the new disney mode coming up with potential skins such as Elsa, Anna, Ariel etc
Well with Fortnite my siblings can play it now because of the new updates such as Lego and creative maps
IMO I'm with Fortnite until They add my Favourite character (Vegito) and when I attend a live event after then I'm not too sure about the game's future

I was thinking last night why i wasnt playing fortnite, then i realised the game is over competetive, alot of the weapons feel boring, the storyline is still quite bland and its too repetitive

Jonessy was a Great Character and the Society seemed like they could he The Second IO. But because that would be too interesting, no, Jones sync saves Peely in a PNG instead of A Live Event. And the society were killed off in a Loading Screen. A LOADING SCREEN
