Just starting to film some selected fencing VLOGS as I go about my business. It is not always possible to film but I will film as many as I can going forward. Hopefully it is of some interest and here is the third one that I have done - Take it easy !
Excellent job - that one did not want to go quietly, looked like you had to fight it all the way. What a beautiful looking places - but boy was it exposed. Thanks for the video - clearly you can only do so much and the jobs come first. Glad I kept being subscribed. Cheers.
Thanks Ian, aye, it was a bit of a nightmare, the ground was not kind and nearly died of exposure on Wednesday with that wind 😂. Apologies for being missing from youtube land for nearly a year, it is just difficult getting time to film videos, but will try to keep uploading. Thanks for the comment mate 👍
Hi Barry nice to see you back with an update, that fencing looked great and I thought I had problems with rocks in postholes until I saw that meteorite you had to get around 😂, hope you and your family are all doing well and look forward to the next video cheers 👍
Cheers Rob, Aye, the digger could not even move it ! Yes, it's been a while, just busy........you know what it's like! Hope you and the family are all good too, nice to hear from you mate. We were just laughing the other day as my daughter Charlotte still remembers you from when she pulled your name out the gravy dish 😂 it is a running joke in our family when we ask her who won the give away. she always comes straight out with it "ROB GORMLEY" 😂
@@Bacrenfencing bless her that's Great 😃, the DeWalt stand is still going strong and has been on quite a few jobs now thanks again mate and have a good weekend.
That's good Rob, great that it's getting some use. Enjoy the weekend mate, light nights next week.......been a long dark winter !
👍👍👍Nice job, Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Hi, when you've set your string line. How do you get the top of the posts all the same height ?
Cheers
To be honest, I usually cut the top of my fence posts and coat with clear preserver. In this case, I just put them in over length and cut them, the fence is getting painted by the client, so post tops will be well protected. Also, I usually cut them at a 30 degree angle to encourage the water to run off.
To gauge fence post depth, I have marks at 600mm on my post hole diggers (you will see the red tape) I use this as a visual aid to gauge when the correct depth is reached.
I am really OCD when getting fences running perfectly straight, especially when adding capping rails, so it is easier to fit the top rail perfectly where you need it and then trim the posts.
I will make some videos in the future on how I do things.
Apologies for the long winded answer, but the processes that I use totally depend on the individual situations. Cheers
