As much as I love the modding options and stability of the XR, I still prefer the nimbleness of the pint X. Not many trails near me so I mainly street ride.
I, like you, am a street rider. I commute everywhere on my XR. Funny enough, I'm riding my original Pint more because I have a sidewall flat on my XR, and I'm reminded about the unique feeling of the Pint family. If I had the speed of the Pint X, the two might compete for my attention. Awesome that you're enjoying your board. I'm REALLY excited for the GT. I hope it's great!
Heyo! I wanted to let Alexa know, the current wiring in the pint x is too small for the currents of daily hyper-charging currently available. FM should have upgraded/improved this wiring but they chose not too. So I’m not sure if chi would upgrade. Bumpers would be dope as hell. As for rails, someone is making rails and expects them ready in a few months. That would be awesome. Good video!!!
Super interesting. Thanks for sharing! And thanks for watching 🙏🏾 I’m excited to hear about the new rails product. If they solve the clearance issues, that would be clutch!
What’s the weather like where you are? DC has been getting a lot of rain. I still tend to ride if it’s a light drizzle. I’ll wait to charge until the board is dry.
That’s annoying for sure. I had that issue with a used XR I bought, but the problem disappeared over time. I’ve also since replaced the front footpad (with another standard FM XR footpad). I hope your Pint X self-corrects for the mounting issue as well!
I can't believe this is acceptable to FM. I'm having the mount of shame issue and called FM. they explained this was normal under 1mph. I NEVER had that problem with an older XR. how is that normal?
Since two Pints and a GT are the only products in production, I think this will start to change. The XR had a lot of time to build the lead for third-party accessory support.
Like she said the back has less clearance with the thicker battery and if you add skid plates than even more so. This would make trail riding horrible. Plus charge time is way too long. Xr wins over pint x. Can't agree that's a upgrape to the xr. I think pint with chi battery is even better cause of the clearance. And trail riding on pint you rarely ride pass pushback speed.
Very good points. I agree that it isn’t an “upgrade” over the XR. The 3rd party market has much more to offer XR riders, and the larger footpads are an advantage as well. Fingers crossed the GT feels like a true upgrade. 26 more days until I find out so long as the ship date isn’t pushed back anymore!
@@followdon I bought a GT also. And, if you think clearance is in issue on the pint x wait for the GT lol. I think it's going to be bad, guell we'll see 🤞
I love the XR. The interview was on pavement, but Alexa definitely rides trails. The torque and the nimbleness of the Pint X can be fun on trails. It’s just a different ride altogether. Can’t wait for the GT!
I don’t disagree with you. Like Alexa said, it’s closer to what the Pint was supposed to be. I would have preferred FM retired the original Pint and kept the XR, but it probably would have created confusion for buyers on the website. When the GT arrives, I wonder how often I’ll ride my XR. Maybe I’ll still use it for errands since it will be the lighter board to carry.
Each board has a different “feel”. It’s hard for me to say any board is better. But to your point, it depends on what the rider values. I like the 3rd party options and the faster charge times for the XR. I like the torque and the travel size of the Pint X.

@@dpredie thank you! I stopped by your channel and checked out your Unreal Engine Mocap video. That's super interesting stuff! Keep at it also!
The helmet that lady is wearing is it the Thousand brand? Cool video and lots of info. 👍
Yes, it is a Thousand brand helmet. You can see the logo above her left eye. Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Perfect ending!
😂 Thank you, Lee!

Just put the extended footpad on. Sadly its weather thats keeping me from riding😭

I'm in Grand Junction, Co and we have about 7 or 8 inches of snow with ice below that. Not safe to ride
I'm experiencing frequent "mount of shame" on my Pint X as well which ruins an otherwise exemplary experience.

Pint X rails PLZ! 🕊️
I expect to see a lot more coming from @TheFloatLife this year. You may get what you’re asking for!
in general being a pint owner it sucks not having the accessories as the xr.

Great video per usual.
Thank you, Seer Jay! You always show support and I appreciate it. Enjoy your holiday!
Agreed. But who's the weirdo riding with Alexa? JK Opal!

I wouldn’t call a pint x an upgrade from an xr

It's not supposed to be. It's supposed to have the features of an XR in which it does. I love my pint X. It's a beast on the street.
Tis
?
I was just being weird.
"It is worth it", is what I meant, lol.
Tbh, PintX destroys the XR, but it truly all depends on the rider
