The reason why the main cast in the EVA collab was missing voice-acting was due to a bug (go figure, the publisher is incompetent). Also Asuka, Rei, and Shinji don't have voice acting due to the EVA IP holder saying they can't have original voice acting for the collab, not due to a lack of money. It's like this for every EVA collab apparently. All of the points in the video are valid though
The potential for this game is so hugeeee... even if we coping it is not Genshin competitor but we could agree if it was done right this would have been extraordinary mobile game setting apart from WUWA and Genshin. HE IS HIM
My jaw dropped when you said A6 Lyn lasted six months. I played up until right before 2.0, everyone was hyping up Lyn as the greatest unit ever, an evergreen investment, the face of the meta. I'd resolved to skip her because I was a dedicated tank main. Also hearing that DPS is all that matters is pretty disappointing, the only reason why I loved ToF in the first place was BECAUSE it had the holy trinity of roles and I love playing tanks in MMOs. This game had such potential. Another reason I quit before 2.0 was finding out that Marc wasn't coming to global. I'm still salty
Max DPS only matters in rank up solo Bygone phantasm and coop Frontier Clash Evolved, every other coop content also need healers and tanks. Even the last 4 raids (Zhuyan, Taotie, Xingtian, Ying Zhao) for challenging, most of team roles as tanks because the core gameplay there is shield shattering, survivability and team coordination mechanics. Also, all limited tank weapons (Lan, Huang, Asuka) are strong, they do high dmg, bring survivability and other utilities. Unfortunately, Marc wont be released in Global.
Yup I heard the same exact thing and I also skipped because I was a dedicated frost main lmao. LIKE hearing someone with A6 Lyn going through that just makes me disappointed but I am not even remotely surprised.

What sets Hoyo Gotcha games apart from ToF is that Hoyo games 4-star characters are not trash. In ToF, all four stars are trash and have no reason to be there. But like in Genshin, even a 4-star can compete in terms of DPS with a 5-star character or often become more important than a 5-star character. The 5-star character can use a 4-star- or even a 3-star weapon and still become viable. It's sad because I was really hopeful for TOF, but it's so sad with its state now.

As an example, I played Path to Nowhere, Soul tide, FGO, Touhou Lost World, Octopath Traveler, Neural Cloud, Limbus Company, Blue Archive, Reverse 1999, Arknights, Valiant Force 2, alchemy stars, Alice fiction, DQ dai a Hero's Bond, and many more all of these games lower tier units are very useful and relevant until the end game content In fact, it's much more common than you may think not only exclusive to Hoyo games.
I took a break for like 4-5 months. Took a peek at the tierlist while thinking of returning. Saw absolutely everything I had worked on was in trash tier and Immediately decided not to return. If my entire account progression goes from "Alright" to "gg your collection is ass" in just a few months worth of units, then yeah, trash design. Even without touching the game again I could tell power creep was a major concern and thats usually what separates a good gacha from a bad one. Which is unfortunate cuz I really loved this game on release and only took a break cuz of life and back then the future of the game looked bright and everything was going well in my opinion.

Tier list is only for the Whales, if you are not whaling you can use your old weapons to clear ALL contents within the game. Some solo contents makes your weapon 6* instantly for that session. I finished all single contents using only the limited banners who is already in standard with 0 to 1* at most.
Voices were fixes the 2nd or 3rd day but unreal that happened. You can only play the story once. And I totally agree they need to take MC out of these FMVs.
I think the power creep hurts this game even more than a standard gacha game, being that its a multiplayer MMO. MMOs are meant to be grinded for long periods and to reward players for that time spent. This is the exact opposite for TOF. Someone could outpace a two year old account in 5 seconds by simply buying the A6 version of the most recent dps and their matrices.
I still play it just doing daily quest. Many things I don't like in tof 1. Lag 2. Rewards are lacking (daily log in, boss drop, monthly task, contents) 3. Powercreep 4. Content is lacking if your old player who almost finish all exploration 5. The game rewards is decreasing update to update from asperia where you get DC and costume, SSR weapon,matrices from boss drop to vera with no more DC but with gacha machines to domain 9 with nothing rewarding but red nucleus as the only thing useful. Many maps but nothing to do and nothing to hunt cause the drops are trash

Free to Play is the way to go with most of these games. I spend 10 minutes a day on dailies and I was able to get both of the collab characters. I'm not worried about maxing with these games admittedly but I can get something cool once in a while to play with.

Which means that you don’t really feel the need to pull for meta but just whoever you want, hence you don’t have to 100% the map and grind everything, and can even take a few months break without missing out much But ToF it’s kinda hard to keep up with the Meta and almost all the 4* and old 5* are hella useless. You basically can just give up on pvp if you’re not a whale or a dolphin. And how to get rewards to constantly pull for these meta characters that easily powercrept the ones on the previous patch? Grind and grind for those rewards…
So many people want powercreep to disappear though, which I find curious tbh, because reboot is supposed to be for people who doesn't want powercreep. Genshin is doing a good job for powercreep and scaling, but I don't think the same thing can be said for HSR, because the last 3 versions has been a lot of powercreep, it feels like you gotta pull a lot of the newer units. Aventurine just completely blows Gepard out of water, I know it's because he's limited banner and we had Fu Xuan but even him feels so stronger... The next version will be wild, because in addition to Ruan Mei, who focuses on breaking enemies, we have Harmony MC who relies on allies continuously attack to repeatedly inflict Weakness Break. Add Boothill, and it will probably be the team with highest numbers for a while. I understand it is because of synergy, but it feels so inflated and it's kinda ToF level...

And the game I do play really worries about power creep. So much so they want to change monster stats to make more weapons viable.(depends on what players say though) And the reasons I don't see it ending well. 1) Spreading out the already thin player base. 2) Making vets choose to either stay in Global or go spend even more money in the re-boot. (Could play both but that could get pricey) 3) The ability to balance properly. 4) The ability to bring out actual challenging content instead of just increases in hp/damage. Like don't get me wrong, would love to see the game do well. But from what I played on Global.. Don't really have faith honestly :S. I really feel Global should be getting the love but I also understand the spenders that don't want their weapons devalued. Rough spot to be in honestly. Yes, Boothill will go crazy with break supports, but people will still destroy the same content with Seele (a 1.0 character). The shiny new toys are good in HSR but they dont make the old ones obsolete.
Dude, I remember playing ToF (back then when Vera was released) and always feeling mid compared to my guild because my luck sucked a## (The only time I won a 50/50 was Ruby) so I had to kept using standard characters (C5-6 btw) and being one of the weakest in the guild. I ended up quitting since my main (Crow) was pretty much useless compared to big S (Samir) and not having Nemesis made it worse. Even using a fire team with Ruby, King and Cocorritter, I just wasn't good enough. Like how is it that finally, I got the latest character (ruby) and not even 2 months later I was useless again because new OP character came around. (Side note: Been playing genshin for 3 years and I can still clear abyss with my very first triple crowned character: Yanfei)
You are playing the game wrong, I stopped pulling since Yu Lan and I am pairing her with 2.0 weapons and I have yet to reach a point where I feel weak. Whales still top my damage 10 times... like at launch And I still get very often mvp when doing instances or world bosses. I'd say skill issue tbh.

If you are having issues clearing the weekly raids/ JO/VR/FCH, then that's skill issue..You can even clear early stages of OOW and VA..If you are trying to compete with the ranking, then that's a different story.
Eh, i mean genshin still does that speechless dialogue a lot with their characters, their recent event and new map is a good example. But for me its the power creep, my characters constantly feel like they're always becoming irrelevant the moment a new character of a similar element comes out . I used to run A6 lin that girl with the fire umbrella and ruby and i was extremely comfortable with it until the 2nd altered element character came out .
That girl with flame umbrella got a beautiful animation and very nice sub DPS imo, and her name is Lan. Lan makes Anna nuke in 2x throw bomb bullets skill. C6 x 2 on Genshin, move to TOF with Anna A6, free A6 Lan, A3 Asuka here. Still enjoying TOF with friends since day 1. And yes you can breach out of map in TOF, reaching 15 km on the sky for real, or 8 km on the land too, or even below the land〜 for fun
i do agree that powercreep is still a thing, even with the double element characters that has been release recently, the second element are just gimmick while the characters main element is still the best, i don't know why they didn't do anything about powercreep, what so hard to just create new characters that aren't powerful but still useful? and also about play time, yap its really time consuming, they keep making content like chores while new player/comeback player are sit on the corner, every new event are just for veteran making it locked behind story or even lock behind map, imagine new player playing it, can't even clear the event. . .

But if you meant you wanna clear the higher floors on BR Bygone Phantasm, top charts, carry OoW and FC Evolution with 2.0 weapons, then that's just ridiculous. What incentive would there be to get the newer weapons if you could do everything with the ones from like, a year ago? It's a gacha mmo at the end of the day. And by the way, wanna know just how viable older weapons are, when your equipment's good enough? I've paired A6 NanYin and A1 Brevey with A6 Tsubasa, A6 Claudia, A6 Zero and A3 Lin for BR Sequential Phantasms. With those teams, respectively, I've cleared Frost 8, Physical 7, Flame 5 (yeah, I did it on Benediction resonance lol) and Altered 4 (max floor). Literally every one of those teams has an old ass weapon on it, yet they were still helpful in clearing content. You just gotta get creative with it. You clearly won't compete with the full meta whales dmg-wise, but you can still clear most content by yourself.

The current meta is based on forced pulls to be competitive. If every character was 100% viable then people would be pulling because they either like the character’s design, skills or making team composition. It should be as simple as that.

The fact that it's open world and you see other players makes it competitive by nature, so if every team was viable and had significant dmg what'd be the point of getting the new weapon, aside from "I like the way it looks" (which is pretty irrelevant in MMO, since you should be way more focused on dmg over aesthetics)? If you could do with, idk, Fenrir, what you can do with Brevey, what incentive would there be to actually pull for her? You'd just A6 3 characters with their respective R3 matrices (over multiple reruns) and call it a day. Again, older weapons ARE viable, they're just not meta anymore. You CAN use them in your teams, but ofc its dmg will not be near meta comps. This game is by no means perfect, and you could make a case that free resources are too scarse for the amount needed to pull, sure. I still can carry newbies and people with my old Anna A6, free Lan A6, Asuka A3 with savings. VA no problem too, if there are stronger people, I gladly be solo healer with A0 Brevey level 150, A0 Fiona, FREE Lyra A6. TOF SSR are like flagship smartphones. Surely 2024 flagship > 2022 flagship right ? But some people still can survive with old flagships.

Truth be told. The exploration is what thrills me to this day. Just answer the surveys they send to us every now and then and they do listen. I play like 6 gachas now, Snow Break did do the lewd path and they are back in the game. Brown Dust 2 is super dirty overall but they are sooo gracious on giving out free pulls. TOF will still remain a chore for me. I just wish that they just use one fucking currency for everything!
In my opinion, this game doesn't require spending quite a lot of money to complete some of the content contained in it, as a free to play player I can survive until now. I got the SEA regional TOP Tanker title as a free to play player
The game doesn't actually require any spending, nor does Genshin Impact. You can completed both games with just in game rewards. It is that people keep getting messages from other people making them feel like they need to keep up with the meta or do the best damage to be acceptable. Because both games are largely designed around the single player experience even TOF, so basically, people are only competing against themselves. So there is no reason why someone would need to roll on any banner unless it was due to their own personal goals or aims or more realistically per pressure.
Yeah, it amazed me that me and my crew and my friends just had gatherings 49 people on TOF APAC twice a few weeks ago. And TOF keep improving in terms of world building, SSR quality, and generous gacha cuz only need 110 pulls (if you're unlucky) to get a limited SSR. And aside from Alter and EVA Collab units, all SSR on TOF will get into standard banner anyway, and gold nuc is free〜 free A6 old units from patch 2.0 3.0 already (currently 4.3 when I write this comment) Also, if you got friends, you can do exploration together and even reach out of map like I did, 15 km 8 km away from the main map. the eva colab wasn't bad at all imo, you could get tones of free stuff like cosmetics and penpen also asuka and rei (who didn't have voice lines due to copyright) are both extremely fun to play. Although i am really disappointed with the lack of voice lines of normal characters. also tof has had a problem with cutscenes that include a custom character glitching or lagging so they bit the bullet and made it the default mc. Separately the thing with comparing tof to hoyo games in terms of power creep is that for example genshin barley produces any good characters in the name of keeping the balanced (3.0 had alot of this), and with a guarantee of 180 pulls which requires months of grinding why pull new characters that could be bad when you could pull old ones or just the archons as they will always be meta. With tof there are 2 guarantees for characters, after 2 losses and after 120 pulls. i pulled for shenhe a while back and couldn't pull for ayaka as i lost 2 months of saving so shenhe is useless to me until i can find 180 pulls for whenever ayaka has a rerun baring in mind that i would try to pull for other characters in that time. overall the power creep is bad but not as bad as people make it out to be Fiona is still one of the most powerful characters in the game as she's immune to greybite and is a healer. Also you can make teams with practically any character that isn't on the standard banner apart from a few. people do over exaggerate the flaws of tof which ngl are very common in games like it. The meta lasts 6 months but you really dont need the meta, a new character might replace an ilder character but it doesnt mean that that older character is suddenly useless unless they were useless at the beginning. But whatever tof bad because reasons i guess.
I dunno power creep has slowed, and at a certain point the 2.0 units do last a while and are going to start hitting the standard banner, reality is the game needs players back
I want the game to improve not to die 😢There is just no other game like it out there. As in an anime (true)MMO RPG combining dynamic combat and movement, character creation and customization, interesting open worlds and great OST. These were and still is the main features that keeps me playing. If your f2p, yes you wont be on the leaderboard, If your new p2w u wont be either cause grind over time matters too. But if your in it just for the exploration, the vibes and the gameplay for different weapons, go for it. Every SSR weapons will eventually be in the standard pool (until EoS that is). And game gives enough ressources to buy 1 or 2 copy for limitted banner weapons. Not every banners though, only every 3rd/4rth banner, one of the reasons why its so important to main only one element for synergie. But if you want to be able to compete then ToF and Gachas in general are not for you.
The reason there is no powercreep in genshin is because there is no playable content lol. As for ToF, unfortunately your case is similar to that of many people, expect Lin A6 to do everything, the case for this game is that there is a balance between the weapons, Lin was a buffer weapon, you needed strong dps that will take advantage of it Even now, buffer weapons like Claudia have their use with Asuka, another point of this game is also to have good gameplay, unlike GI, where you can make mistakes in the rotation and many other things, but nothing will happen, since the the game does not display your damage, nor is there any difficulty that warrants it. On the other hand, in ToF, failing or delaying a rotation drastically reduces your dps and this obviously makes your investment feel much more obsolete. In short, ToF is probably the only gacha in which it matters to know how to play to get the most out of your investment.
Agree🤣 I'm day 1 both games, I loved the beauty and quality of Genshin so I have 2 C6 cuz I love their design and function, but yea those C6 Ayaka Kokomi really helpful to clear Abyss since I'm a casual who don't have Kazuha Zhongli or meta units, and I A6 them cuz I want a time saving healer Kokomi and want my Ayaka to have 3 fans... but yea Genshin hardest content is Abyss. Then I move to TOF, happen to love it more, got friends etc, and know that TOF SSR gonna be free on standard banner in the future. So yeah I just A6 the ones that I really love and comfy for long term, not really bothered by powercrept, cuz TOF has contents that need teamwork to do it, it's more fun that way. VA FCH FCE Joint BDF etc... And I'm simple minded : if there's someone stronger than me, I be healer. If everyone weaker than me, please heal me, I be DPS. If need a shatter, my Anna Lan Asuka can shatter and agrro.
FFW to late june 2024, WuWa just released and it is exceeding expectations left and right. And the funniest thing is that it often gets called: "ToF if it was good".
I am the opposite. I went from Genshin to TOF for 1 reason is that I invested to coop viable unit because I had fun during version 1 and suddenly they stop releasing such event (the boss rush/hypostasis). They eventually rerun them but not like before and it took 2 years where my friends are already left the game for gameplay being repetitive. HSR even has better qol and end game for a 1 year game than Genshin fr. So here I am in TOF, the major problem is the powercreep. Even matrices get to increase each rotation like why not just make the initial effect as standard values for all so it can be reused. I also get A6 Lin and 3s Matrices knowing that it will save Flame but turns out to be the worst one effect of all the element it buffs in global. Why I cant quit TOF yet because I have someone to play with (and yes we are Genshin players and still playing but we cant do the same coop here from there).
I literally deleted the game last month after playing since the console launch. I did have a mobile account since the mobile release but the game is not cross platform when it comes to console and mobile accounts. All I was doing is the dailies and log out.. It was actually feeling like a chore just to log into the game even. Then their new game, NTE , trailer dropped. Had to make space for that haha.. I already play so many games on a daily basis and I had to at least free up some time. The game feels like there's nothing to do after you explored all maps, gotten most 5 star weapons and completed all quests.. It's too buggy, laggy and the UI is a complete mess. I kinda feel like I wasted my time even starting and playing ToF.
I have a strong hate against mihoyo. I spent a lot on HI3 trying to get Herschel of void and reason, and lastly lightning. I stopped playing when a major update happened and my account was deleted. I tried to retrieve it only to have start again from scratch.

I never said that Hoyo doesn't have power creep. I said they were good at managing it. Neuvilette may be powerful but you don't need him to 36-star the Abyss. Acheron is powerful but restrictive in what team comps you can use her in and also once again, not required to clear endgame content. Contrast this with ToF, which literally has no place for characters once they drop out of being top 3 in their element/role.

You can have a lot of fun with coco/zero/lyra and these chars are over a year old (two of them are beginner chars). And if you can`t feel the powercreep in hsr then you are a spender. For pure fiction lvl 4 and moc 12 you NEED the latest meta chars or op artifacts. But at the end it doesn`t matter anything. What game you will cover next? ww?

The game is still amazing after 1000+hours and im not spend lot money in this game. These days you dont need more than a0 or a1 to be good cause new simu are alrdy rly powerful. There is lot of ppl playing these days and the game is alive rly good.
I've played for more than 700 hours on steam version alone, and that was last played about a year and few months ago. Played from launch till the release of Fenrir iirc. The reason i quit was due to power creeping. Imagine invested in a unit till A6 it just to get power creep by a newer A3 character. Lucky for me i did invested on A6 Lin at that time because she goes well with any other elements. I've had other characters invested in as well like Frigg, Saki and Alyss (ice characters), but knowing these character will just get overpowered by upcoming characters make all the old character seems useless. The content is great but due to my invested older characters getting more and more irrelevant, I decided to stop because I'd rather play and spend money on games/characters that could last for a long time at the very least. But I do miss playing ToF again, I miss my old crewmates.
I just simply don’t like how there’s like this power roadblock. Where the base ssr weapons while they can get you through most content it’s clear the limited weapons are just literal power creeps. And I’m not even gonna mention the sr weapons because they are absolutely dogshit. At the end of the day this is a gacha I get it. But if I need 6 copies of a character to make a standard character function is ridiculous to me. Pay to win is probably a overstatement of what this game is it’s like a mix of pay for convenience and a touch of pay to win. And I just don’t like it
You don't need A6 to enjoy open world contents, Joint Ops, VA, etc. Remember that all TOF limited SSR except Alter and Collab (Asuka Rei) will be on Gold Nucleus Standard banner, so free A6. And just pull A0 or A3, use the buff on the Bygone that give you +3 stars rating up when you want to clear Bygone. Not all games have to follow the rule that SR should be 'useful for combat.' or it'll be boring imo. ToF SR are useful to build the tokens when you're gachaing. 1 SR = 2 tokens. That's why, at worst, we toffers only need 110 pulls to get SSR limited using tokens (if you lost 80/80 for example)
At least flying with Rubilia is fun and time saving for exploration, I haven't seen "Rubilia" on BOTW, my C6 in Genshin surely can't fly🤣 I only fly like super saiyan on Dissidia Final Fantasy and that's not open world mmorpg One of my friends carrying people on VA with A6 Fenrir A6 Rubilia A6 Mimi btw. When I had a PS4 trying to play TOF, it kept kicking me out of the game and then my whole system shutdown & restarted. NOW I have a PS5. I'm overwhelmed with everything to do. So many beautiful worlds to explore. 5/24/2024 Main Story DONE. I love this game & highly addictive.
Its not good you will enjoy the story and maybe the first 100 hours of this game this game has great potential but has way to many flaws in its system like gacha in a mmo powercreep lack of playerbase cant even find enough players for normal events if dont play with guild you cant take bosses so you cant pass at some powerlevel big openworld but not much there to farm beside dailys I feel like this game would be better as a solo game like genshin the mmo part of this game just doesnt work like they want it to be to many servers on a game with small playerbase they should merge last the performance and lags fps drops in this game are something else
I agree with alot of the stuff u mentioned. For me personally power creep isn't too much an issue since I don't try to min max stuff (like I skipped hi damage character s just cuz they felt not fun to play). Aside from that the story issues and even the new server issues I agree with.
I used to enjoy ToF luckily I only spent a few bucks for a battle pass and one sub. Quit gatcha for a while after ToF then now I'm playing WuWa. Just the fluidity and story makes alot of differences and impact on players. Indeed

But I mean you'll still enjoy ToF no doubt. When I said potential it pretty much had everything WuWa G.I combine and underwater region its pretty big. A very different vibe I say. Just careful to spend money on it. Also it is much easier to max out a character constellation in ToF than WuWa. They had more free pulls than WuWa comparing their 1.0 to 1.2 ver Check out Warframe just a random title if you're looking for alternative game. But yeah goodluck both are free so why not :)
You don't feel the power creep in genshin because there's no content that shows you the power creep in that game, there's no damage numbers, no rankings etc. You can complete all content in ToF as a F2P, I'm a F2P since day one and havent had much issue with any content. You can build a team without issue since the game gives you enough pulls, you dont need to max out any character. OOW difficulty reduces over time, so the whales can tryhard for leaderboard rankings while F2Ps can get their rewards too. Genshin is a good game but once you're able to finish the abyss there's not much to work towards, the story is enjoyable but then that's that. I enjoy Genshins story but once it's done it takes a good amount of time for new story to come out which is basically the only content the game offers. I think both games are good in their own ways and comparisons of power creep like this are unfair.
Yea I notice the power creep of dps path and how tanks are useless and picked to be healer becuase I never face this two side effects. I am not stubid to pay for somthing useless in near future this game even global didnt prevent the power creep when they tryed in the beginning. But eventually, they are forced to go for super power creepnsame as cn which dissapoint everybody even whales.
If you're not gonna whale, why are you complaining about power creeping? Unless you're going for leaderboards, power creeping doesn't matter at all in this game. I'm a day 1 player and I don't pull copies at all for any character and I just collect. But look at me, I can do high tier content easily and solo Frontier Clash Hard. Anyone can do it too. Power creep is an issue, I agree but this game incentivizes you to pull for characters and feel REWARDED for pulling for characters and use it. Every single patch, every single new weapon that I obtain it's a different type of gameplay and makes it easy to catch up because even at low to no investment just the bare minimum of obtain the character even without their matrices, they will be viable for the long run. Power creeping in this game IS f2p friendly because I'm an f2p myself. You're not asked to invest a lot, you're not asked to invest everything. Just get the character and you'll perform well. The mindset of "If I'm not the best then I'm nothing" in gacha game is ridiculous. Before you say that you need whales to carry you in end game content then that's just pure lies. Joint Ops 8 is difficult and is definitely possible solo. Joint Ops Balanced maxes out everyone's weapon and equalizes everyone's power to be the same. No one is gonna carry you in JOB, not even whales. Frontier Clash Hard is not that hard, it's doable solo. Void Rift is definitely doable solo because of how much buffs you get. Void Rift Abyssal is one of the extremely incredibly late endgame but four f2p players can do it. End of the day it's an MMO and you need people to play with. Origin of War is probably the only content where I can agree with you where whales can carry you since it's incredibly end game content. But Origin of War is not that rewarding and it's mostly there to limit test your team composition and try to see how far you can go. Comparing powercreeping to Hoyo's games, specifically Genshin Impact is ridiculous considering not a single content in Genshin Impact can be considered "hard." Trust me, I played the game enough to know that you only need Bennett and then another support like Zhongli or Kazuha and then fill the rest with literally anyone and you can clear any content. See Honkai Star Rail for example. Acheron came out and literally blew every other character in the game and it's controversial and very much noticeable because HSR's content is hard in high level. It's the same with ToF. ToF's content is ridiculously hard so power creeping is far more noticeable. Mihoyo doesn't handle power creeping "well" Acheron, Sparkle, IL Dan Heng, Jingliu and the entirety of Star Rail proves that. Genshin doesn't feel like there's power creep because there's not enough content that is really hard. Evangelion collab is incredibly scuffed and I feel like they held back on the weapons because Domain 9 weapons are leagues beyond Evangelion weapons. It did somewhat suck. Overall I'm sad to hear about your experience of the game but I heavily disagree with lots of the things that were said here.
Disagree about hard content in Star Rail, it is very simple. There was a direct spike of difficulty with releases of Swarm and 11-12 Abyss, but even these new gamemodes don't cause any trouble.

It's so true too my 1 month new character with $0 spent was able to Solo up to VA6 with Plotti A1, some characters are just better at soloing than others, an things like VA, VR, are cheesable and FCH also easy too once you get decent gears which new players have many many free gift menus and missions that older accounts cannot see
You know, that’s a good point. That’s a really good point. But, how is it that other MMORPGs are doing well while ToF struggles? Even Albion Online is doing fantastic. Are you going to say because they don’t have gacha? If that’s the case then there no reason to not compare ToF with Genshin since they are both gacha. And at the same time, with ToF being a MMORPG, would it be ok if it is compared to other MMORPGs out there? Like WoW, FF14, Guild Wars 2, OSRS, Albion Online, and more. What is it that they are doing that ToF is not? Face it, ToF is terrible at everything at it was made to do. And there are still people who still think ToF is fine. There are also a vast amount of people who are planning to quit ToF after Wuthering Waves release.

yeah i hear bro i spent alot money and time on a mobile game roughly 40k decide to quit but other people spend way more, the fat whales who spends 100k or 160k USD its not 1% fat whales more like 30% fat whales. You feel the power crept in ToF because its MMO, if Genshin has that ranking system or bygone you would feel the power crept in Genshin whenever they released new character. First of all, star rail and GI isn't MMO in the first place they more like a closed world in a way that there's no competition you can clear the MOC even not 0-1 cycling it because you will still get the reward as long as you clear the stages not being lower than the given cycle limit, same with Genshin abyss you can take longer in abyss as long as you can clear it with the time requirement and get every reward. ToF is like Honkai Impact 3 you only feel the power crept because there's a ranking for players who clears its faster especially in nirvana. ToF is an F2P can because you can literally clear everything even though you're using old weapons, it will only be a p2w if you're a competent player. I'm f2p player myself and I can still clear/solo WB, Joint Operation, VR, FCH and other contents.
I disagree with you in terms of the collab. The story is actually great, and the developers managed to swing it to the game's lore. This is just a "collab" meaning to say, the game will just try inherit some of the features of the selected anime. There are only "selected" aspects that can be put into use. There are license limitations in terms of what TOF can do. You can't blame TOF if the original creator doesn't allow it. (YES, this includes the licensing for voice actors, and there's a lot that they didn't allow ToF to do, some scenes removed etc.). To be fair, I agree with you about weapon power creep but that's all. Comparing it with other games though is a bit absurd, these games does not belong to the same genre, different developers, different target market, different game strategy and different game engine. and it's sad to hear from gamers that they should have used their time and resources on playing other games instead etc. etc. You sound as if the game didn't give you entertainment during the time you are still enjoying it.
I personally think that NIKKE of all things did better with their Nier collab. They integrated a lot of Nier's aesthetics into the UI and overall design for the event much more thoroughly and the writing for the story quest leaned far more heavily into the themes of Nier's story. ToF's Eva collab didn't really touch on any of the themes that Evangelion typically explores, nor did it really focus much on character interactions beyond Shirli's brief speculation that the Eva pilots are going through something similar to Zeke. While I did enjoy my time with ToF, the main point I was trying to get across in this video is that for me, I had to choose between keeping up with ToF or using the time/money I would sink into it on expanding to other games. I don't regret the time I put into ToF, I just can't justify continuing with it.
Why can't Evangalion collab with Star Rail 😭. Luocha and Nagisa even have the same VA. Regardless, powercreep isn't too bad in Genshin but that's because the big 4 (XQ, XL, Benny, and Fischl) are just perpetual gatekeepers until the end of time. Also their reluctance to directly change a character like Dehya or Arlan (from HSR) means they will never ever be even remotely viable. No amount of indirect buffing with new characters will make them good; their kits are just too dogshit. Especially with how astronomically stronger characters like Bennett is compared to Dehya or Jingliu and Acheron is compared to any other HSR dps.
Dendro reactions are more important that those 4 to handle power creep - there is basically nothing in the game you can't beat using some cheaply made hyperbloom party with just base EM stats on artifacts and kuki as a trigger. Although you could say that XQ is one of the easiest 4* character to build such a team - you can still do it without him (on one of my accounts i for a while was using Barbara)
If Arlan is like Qiqi tier yeah he can't be save. But Genshin has prove that like Furina exist which can revive old characters like Jean viability or even Xianyun revived Diluc viability especially those who have him C6. Finger crossed Aventurine gonna revive Yanqing at least.
Isn't a Black Swan and Kafka team comparable to Jingliu/DHIL comps? Like, their DoT potential is absurd. Also, before you mention that those are 2 5*, the best comps from those hypercarries usually need other 5* units. But about Acheron, is she really THAT strong? Like, I know her dmg during her ult is ludicrous but, is it common for it to do over 300k, or a big amount like that, every time it is used? Haven't seen that many showcases.

with wuthering waves dropping this games in trouble its sad to see too because the character creator and the mobility i thought were cool ways to improve the formula of these types of games but even on release i very quickly noticed how grindy and horrible combat felt with certain units and thats just not a good idea for any game, especially one with action combat and unique weapon types forcing you to use crap you dont care about. not to mention the combat still has issues its not nearly as skill based as it should have been and wuthering waves is definitely scratching that itch for me and many other people while still being more fair and fun tof is taking a large L unfortunately it would be nice to see this game relaunch and overhauled to work more like wuthering waves when it comes to balance and difficulty and then improve on the exploration adn stuff so its more interesting and unique for the games strengths rather than copying genshin with a way more mobility they shouldve made things from the ground up to be mroe unique truly a waste of potential and im tired of seeing games do stuff like this and ruining otherwise good games
The reason I quit ToF is because of how buggy the game is, and the dev team simply ignored the issues. They didn't even fix them after a year when I came back and quit again.
i gave it up to for a lot of the same reasons but I also couldn't stand how crappy the storyline was I'm someone who loves gameplay but I also love storylines a lot of it helps me get more attached to my characters listening to them almost sounded like an AI so I wasn't all that thrilled😓😢😭 so I'd rather just stick to genshin impact and star rail not only the stories Good the character details are awesome and the characteristics of them are really cool I'm always on the edge of my seat with the new updates they never disappoint me !!!
I've been looking for reviews for this game to see if it is worth even investing a couple of hours of my time. Dude you invested 500 hours in it!, I think it is safe to say that this game is definitely worth a try. What game in this world gives you 500 hours of anything?. Freaking Final Fantasy Rebirth is around 100 hours worth of content. I don't understand how someone can make a video complaining and making a huge drama out of quitting a game they played for 500 freaking hours!!. My question would be. Out of those 500 hours, what % of that was legit fun?. Leaving memes and jokes aside, I don't think someone can genuinely play a bad game and be miserable for 500 hours, a good % of that time had to be good if not most of it.
That... depends, I guess. I certainly enjoyed my time with ToF, but there was a fair amount of that that was slogging through dailies and the abysmal time-limited minigames they force you to play if you want good rewards. I was satisfied with the time/money I spent back when it was something I could play with friends, but now that they've left the game I can no longer consider it a "social cost", if that makes any sense. Keep in mind that while I did get a lot of play hours out of ToF, if I were to get back into it fully it'd no longer be an enjoyable experience due to everything on my account being outmoded by power creep. I'd have to pull for a bunch of new characters and constantly be playing catchup with gear progression. Meanwhile, FF Rebirth will be enjoyable for years to come since it's a single player experience that can be replayed decades down the line, and also has the possibility of mods adding more replay value. Of course, comparing a single player game to a MMO is a bit strange in that regard, but I hope you get my point here.

While I agree they botched the story for the collab it’s still been lots of fun. BTW you can go for 6 star on every character but it’s a waste of money. Whaling on gacha games is dumb. Both of the collab characters are great at 0-1 star and that seems to be the trend with most new characters. A FTP gamer can get every character 0-1 star without spending a dime or can get a single element to 3-6 star each rotation. I’m FTP and have both a phys and volt teams with 60k + attack in their respective element and top dps in raids and other content with few to none of weapons or matrix being maxed out. This game is extremely FTP friendly so if your opinion it costs to much it means you just have little self control and bad spending habits.
No, the game is not "extremely F2P friendly." If that were the case then older unit would still have their viability, you HAVE to go for newer units otherwise you're dead weight which is one of the many reasons why this game lost it's casual audience. I call extreme amounts of BS on "top dps" of your raids. It's either for reasons being you're playing with players that haven't played long, or you didn't match up with a whale or dolphin account that's a veteran (which is concerning since this would lead to speculation on where did all the whales go?"

That aside you don’t need the older characters because you can easily acquire new characters as a FTP player. You don’t need to max out your characters to enjoy all the content the game has to offer. Unless people want to sit on high leader boards there is zero reason to whale on this game. I’m FTP and talking from actual experience as a FTP player.
On the contrary, Genshin absence of powercreep makes rolling pointless, no rolling no need to farm primogems no need to do dailies resin or abyss, only story left oops no skip button just watch playlists and uninstall.

I found your core problem, "if you can't max them out, whats the point?". Day one player with close to 3500 hrs here. Started an alt for the collab and to see the new player experience, which is a dogs breakfast, but still fun. I had 350 pulls saved for Rei and pulled A5+A0 chips. Slow burn pulling one final copy for her meow. As for the main I have every banner skin in the game. My prio is to just do 110 pulls on each and move on as 110 pulls equates to 120 flame gold and enough to buy a copy of the banner. If I go for the occasional chip set then only a C0 set. This has allowed me to cycle through any element I feel like playing. That said, the banners are just the sauce in your samich. The rest of your gear plays a massive role and should be your primary focus. Via titan gear I've built a reasonably powerful rainbow set that has Frost, Volt and Fire on every piece. Due to dual element banners now the set covers Phys by defacto. The cost of all that? One max Tanium top up, BP and monthly pass (each month).
Your first statement implies that you don't need to max out characters, and then you went and completely sabotaged that by proving the opposite with your alt account and talking about maxing out Rei. Yeah, sure, you might get enough premium currency as a new player to max out the current character, but what about the next banner? Or the one after that? And who's to say how long that maxed out character will even remain relevant for? Lin was supposed to be the F2P/low spender savior, only for her to be ousted by Fiona 4 patches later. Honestly, pulling 1 copy of each character in ToF is a massive waste, you're better off sticking to one element and maxing out whichever one is newest. Gear progression is both heavily time-gated and completely bypassable with spending money - which means that a free player will never be able to surpass a whale. Max Tanium top up + BP/Monthly pass for 1.5 yrs ~= $490. For that money, I got a new RX6800 GPU to upgrade my PC ($400), Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition + Cutting Edge Warbond ($60), and Palworld ($30). I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to get a lot more mileage out of those purchases than I got from the characters I pulled on my ToF account.
@@CDVermilion oh yea the money to value ratio is bad on most gachas and especially on this one, the powercreep is just too fast and too strong compared to other gacha's like hsr and genshin where even a year later you will find a use for any char even if its powercreped by say Acheron for example
I mean yeah, the character model itself is just a skin in ToF. When you pull for a character you get both the character skin as well as the weapon, and from there you can choose to use that skin, another character's skin, or just your own custom character. When you're building your comp you equip weapons, not characters, so the skin doesn't really matter.

Yeah still enjoying it cuz 1 I ain’t no whale I can just uninstall this game whenever I want it too and just play other games. 2. I never spend a single dime to it. Even tho I like this game. 3. You can still have fun with this game, no need to be dominant or waste hefty amount of money to have fun. you just need to play and explore appreciate the visuals the surroundings and all. cuz eventually you’ll quit this game and explore a much more relevant things in life. Games should be fun… BTW, at least less time watching you crying about why the game sucks more time for the real players to play this game. And by real players I mean skilled players that doesn’t rely on money to be powerful

Yeah I just couldn’t justify putting the time into this game anymore, it was clear that they don’t give enough of a shit and I’m praying that MAYBE the 2.0 version will make everything better. When I came across games such as hsr, Snowbreak, nikke and pgr I was met with so much sadness seeing what tof could have been but I was blinded the dopamine rush and now here I am, not played for 2 months and don’t have any plans to return unless I see it has a chance to become what those games are already Speaking of, if you haven’t gotten pgr then I recommend it
Ironically I don't play ggame because my characters are too overpowered. I can come back 6mo or 1 year later and still face roll content. I can oneshot stuff for about an hour before I'm like, "This is useless." I have nothing to play for. I don't even need any of the new weapons or characters because my Raiden comp is just tooooo op and I built it two years ago. I got furina cuz it was complementary and then never played again. I'm literally just waiting to buy the grass fairy girl then I'm done done because I've managed to miss her banner multiple times.
I also quit Tower of fantasy after playing for at least 300+ hours but I’m definitely going to miss the music, the characters, and especially the combat. It’s just the stupid gacha system and the power creep that completely ruined the game for me. A requirement to have an A1 character/weapon for it to work shouldn’t be possible….
Is it actually a full remake of the game, or is it the "ToF Classic" reboot server that they talked about a while ago? I dunno, maybe if they give you some amount of premium currency in the remake/reboot equivalent to the money you spent on the original, I would consider it, but if not, what's the point? As I noted in this video, I don't want to have to start all over again - especially if it means having to pay more money to re-purchase premium skins and etc.

I really dont care if a person is busy, have famies ,have other priorities, need to touch some grass, but 500hours is nonsense reason to give relevant opinion that obviously it makes irrelevant already, i swear why do most people think 500hours is base rule to determined wether the game is good or not especially if the game content is bigger than other gacha game, yes some of your opinion about game is absolutely correcr but if ur saying that from your 500hours perspective, your opinion feels like a copy paste of other legit opinion.
The moment they nerfed and fix crow bug dmg to f2p to make whales crying feel better i know the game will doom to fail. Especially removing servers to merge btw( actually shutting down) and with reboot making this game mid at best. Genshin way better hope Wuthering Waves is not P2W like this to actually playable and hope community is not worse than genshin because genshin haters might be worse community than BNHA community 2.0

@@InuzakaNazeNo, just the choice between male or female MC. In regards to outfit customization like TOF, I wouldn't expect it. I'd be pleasantly surprised, but if the option exists, it would probably just be alternate outfits like Punishing: Gray Raven, the devs' previous game.

Yeah it did, it was a huge issue that the developers never addressed nor tried to fix, your character "if you put money into it" lost its relevancy in a matter of months and it really killed any notion on why people should put any money down into the game. I don't understand management behind this game, they asked for CN community feedback, and what they got as to one of the most reoccurring words was "BALANCING". So what does management decide? We'll make a "classic" server for CN. After announcing it, community uproar "or what little is left within the global community" were at odds with the server and some thinking global wouldn't get it and man were they wrong about that. What's great about classic is it dumbs the game down to no elements, and characters all have "balance", but if you're a returning player who thinks you can use the characters or your account in classic by a via transfer, too bad, you gotta restart from scratch. What a great company
They indirectly nerfed all the old characters. There is something called armor dissolve which replaces grievous completely thus making your old phys units completely useless.
Just like DCUO, Tof is just a, you must buy more and more to keep playing. It's sad. I left the game about a year ago once they said they making a whole new server for tof. So all the money I spent was just a slap in the face. I will never play that game again even if they decide to change. Which they won't

The reason why the main cast in the EVA collab was missing voice-acting was due to a bug (go figure, the publisher is incompetent). Also Asuka, Rei, and Shinji don't have voice acting due to the EVA IP holder saying they can't have original voice acting for the collab, not due to a lack of money. It's like this for every EVA collab apparently.

My jaw dropped when you said A6 Lyn lasted six months. I played up until right before 2.0, everyone was hyping up Lyn as the greatest unit ever, an evergreen investment, the face of the meta. I'd resolved to skip her because I was a dedicated tank main. Also hearing that DPS is all that matters is pretty disappointing, the only reason why I loved ToF in the first place was BECAUSE it had the holy trinity of roles and I love playing tanks in MMOs. This game had such potential. Another reason I quit before 2.0 was finding out that Marc wasn't coming to global. I'm still salty
Max DPS only matters in rank up solo Bygone phantasm and coop Frontier Clash Evolved, every other coop content also need healers and tanks. Even the last 4 raids (Zhuyan, Taotie, Xingtian, Ying Zhao) for challenging, most of team roles as tanks because the core gameplay there is shield shattering, survivability and team coordination mechanics.
Also, all limited tank weapons (Lan, Huang, Asuka) are strong, they do high dmg, bring survivability and other utilities.
Unfortunately, Marc wont be released in Global.

What sets Hoyo Gotcha games apart from ToF is that Hoyo games 4-star characters are not trash. In ToF, all four stars are trash and have no reason to be there. But like in Genshin, even a 4-star can compete in terms of DPS with a 5-star character or often become more important than a 5-star character. The 5-star character can use a 4-star- or even a 3-star weapon and still become viable. It's sad because I was really hopeful for TOF, but it's so sad with its state now.

I took a break for like 4-5 months. Took a peek at the tierlist while thinking of returning. Saw absolutely everything I had worked on was in trash tier and Immediately decided not to return.
If my entire account progression goes from "Alright" to "gg your collection is ass" in just a few months worth of units, then yeah, trash design. Even without touching the game again I could tell power creep was a major concern and thats usually what separates a good gacha from a bad one.
Which is unfortunate cuz I really loved this game on release and only took a break cuz of life and back then the future of the game looked bright and everything was going well in my opinion.

Tier list is only for the Whales, if you are not whaling you can use your old weapons to clear ALL contents within the game.
Some solo contents makes your weapon 6* instantly for that session.
I finished all single contents using only the limited banners who is already in standard with 0 to 1* at most.
Voices were fixes the 2nd or 3rd day but unreal that happened. You can only play the story once. And I totally agree they need to take MC out of these FMVs.
I think the power creep hurts this game even more than a standard gacha game, being that its a multiplayer MMO. MMOs are meant to be grinded for long periods and to reward players for that time spent. This is the exact opposite for TOF. Someone could outpace a two year old account in 5 seconds by simply buying the A6 version of the most recent dps and their matrices.

2. Rewards are lacking (daily log in, boss drop, monthly task, contents)
3. Powercreep
4. Content is lacking if your old player who almost finish all exploration
5. The game rewards is decreasing update to update from asperia where you get DC and costume, SSR weapon,matrices from boss drop to vera with no more DC but with gacha machines to domain 9 with nothing rewarding but red nucleus as the only thing useful. Many maps but nothing to do and nothing to hunt cause the drops are trash

Free to Play is the way to go with most of these games. I spend 10 minutes a day on dailies and I was able to get both of the collab characters. I'm not worried about maxing with these games admittedly but I can get something cool once in a while to play with.

Ngl Genshin is also on par with that but at least the dailies isn’t as brutal as in ToF (and to be fair it has a lot of coop contents so that also increase the daily tasks)
Not to mentioned the powercrept isn’t really there in genshin bc of it being pve except for a couple of recent characters like Neuvilette, Arlecchino, but the old characters are still very viable and strong, even majority of the 4* are still in the S-SS tier range. Which means that you don’t really feel the need to pull for meta but just whoever you want, hence you don’t have to 100% the map and grind everything, and can even take a few months break without missing out much
But ToF it’s kinda hard to keep up with the Meta and almost all the 4* and old 5* are hella useless. You basically can just give up on pvp if you’re not a whale or a dolphin. And how to get rewards to constantly pull for these meta characters that easily powercrept the ones on the previous patch? Grind and grind for those rewards…
500 hours? I'd struggle to get 500 hours in most games. I don't have 500 hours in a lot of games but then again I'm not a hardcore gamer these days.
I personally don't see the reboot ending well.
So many people want powercreep to disappear though, which I find curious tbh, because reboot is supposed to be for people who doesn't want powercreep.
Genshin is doing a good job for powercreep and scaling, but I don't think the same thing can be said for HSR, because the last 3 versions has been a lot of powercreep, it feels like you gotta pull a lot of the newer units. Aventurine just completely blows Gepard out of water, I know it's because he's limited banner and we had Fu Xuan but even him feels so stronger...
The next version will be wild, because in addition to Ruan Mei, who focuses on breaking enemies, we have Harmony MC who relies on allies continuously attack to repeatedly inflict Weakness Break. Add Boothill, and it will probably be the team with highest numbers for a while.
I understand it is because of synergy, but it feels so inflated and it's kinda ToF level...

I don't get the other games as this was my first gacha. And the game I do play really worries about power creep. So much so they want to change monster stats to make more weapons viable.(depends on what players say though)
And the reasons I don't see it ending well.
1) Spreading out the already thin player base.
2) Making vets choose to either stay in Global or go spend even more money in the re-boot. (Could play both but that could get pricey)
3) The ability to balance properly.
4) The ability to bring out actual challenging content instead of just increases in hp/damage.
Like don't get me wrong, would love to see the game do well. But from what I played on Global.. Don't really have faith honestly :S.
I really feel Global should be getting the love but I also understand the spenders that don't want their weapons devalued. Rough spot to be in honestly. If they do the re-boot they get accused of just wanting to get more money. They probably do, but I do know if they were to nerf Global. That wouldn't end well either, likely.
@@chiarasuper Yes, aventurine is strong but you can still solo sustain MoC 12 with cheaper options (Geppy, Gallagher, Lynx, March 7th, heck even FTB in some cases). Yes, Boothill will go crazy with break supports, but people will still destroy the same content with Seele (a 1.0 character). The shiny new toys are good in HSR but they dont make the old ones obsolete.
Dude, I remember playing ToF (back then when Vera was released) and always feeling mid compared to my guild because my luck sucked a## (The only time I won a 50/50 was Ruby) so I had to kept using standard characters (C5-6 btw) and being one of the weakest in the guild. I ended up quitting since my main (Crow) was pretty much useless compared to big S (Samir) and not having Nemesis made it worse. Even using a fire team with Ruby, King and Cocorritter, I just wasn't good enough. Like how is it that finally, I got the latest character (ruby) and not even 2 months later I was useless again because new OP character came around.
(Side note: Been playing genshin for 3 years and I can still clear abyss with my very first triple crowned character: Yanfei)
You are playing the game wrong, I stopped pulling since Yu Lan and I am pairing her with 2.0 weapons and I have yet to reach a point where I feel weak.

Powercreep is an issue with tof, but clearing content is easy regardless of your weapon as long as you're geared (equipment) properly. If you are having issues clearing the weekly raids/ JO/VR/FCH, then that's skill issue..You can even clear early stages of OOW and VA..If you are trying to compete with the ranking, then that's a different story.
Eh, i mean genshin still does that speechless dialogue a lot with their characters, their recent event and new map is a good example. But for me its the power creep, my characters constantly feel like they're always becoming irrelevant the moment a new character of a similar element comes out . I used to run A6 lin that girl with the fire umbrella and ruby and i was extremely comfortable with it until the 2nd altered element character came out .
That girl with flame umbrella got a beautiful animation and very nice sub DPS imo, and her name is Lan. Lan makes Anna nuke in 2x throw bomb bullets skill.
C6 x 2 on Genshin, move to TOF with Anna A6, free A6 Lan, A3 Asuka here. Still enjoying TOF with friends since day 1.
And yes you can breach out of map in TOF, reaching 15 km on the sky for real, or 8 km on the land too, or even below the land〜 for fun
i do agree that powercreep is still a thing, even with the double element characters that has been release recently, the second element are just gimmick while the characters main element is still the best, i don't know why they didn't do anything about powercreep, what so hard to just create new characters that aren't powerful but still useful?
and also about play time, yap its really time consuming, they keep making content like chores while new player/comeback player are sit on the corner, every new event are just for veteran making it locked behind story or even lock behind map, imagine new player playing it, can't even clear the event. . .

tbf they are viable, they're just not meta anymore. You CAN use them to clear most content, it may take more time than with a full meta team but still, you can do it if your gear's good and your comp has synergy.
But if you meant you wanna clear the higher floors on BR Bygone Phantasm, top charts, carry OoW and FC Evolution with 2.0 weapons, then that's just ridiculous. What incentive would there be to get the newer weapons if you could do everything with the ones from like, a year ago? It's a gacha mmo at the end of the day.
And by the way, wanna know just how viable older weapons are, when your equipment's good enough? I've paired A6 NanYin and A1 Brevey with A6 Tsubasa, A6 Claudia, A6 Zero and A3 Lin for BR Sequential Phantasms. With those teams, respectively, I've cleared Frost 8, Physical 7, Flame 5 (yeah, I did it on Benediction resonance lol) and Altered 4 (max floor). Literally every one of those teams has an old ass weapon on it, yet they were still helpful in clearing content. You just gotta get creative with it. You clearly won't compete with the full meta whales dmg-wise, but you can still clear most content by yourself.

The current meta is based on forced pulls to be competitive. If every character was 100% viable then people would be pulling because they either like the character’s design, skills or making team composition. It should be as simple as that.

The fact that it's open world and you see other players makes it competitive by nature, so if every team was viable and had significant dmg what'd be the point of getting the new weapon, aside from "I like the way it looks" (which is pretty irrelevant in MMO, since you should be way more focused on dmg over aesthetics)? If you could do with, idk, Fenrir, what you can do with Brevey, what incentive would there be to actually pull for her? You'd just A6 3 characters with their respective R3 matrices (over multiple reruns) and call it a day.
Again, older weapons ARE viable, they're just not meta anymore. You CAN use them in your teams, but ofc its dmg will not be near meta comps.
This game is by no means perfect, and you could make a case that free resources are too scarse for the amount needed to pull, sure. But what you're presenting is something that goes against MMO logic, especially a Gacha MMO.

Truth be told. The exploration is what thrills me to this day. Just answer the surveys they send to us every now and then and they do listen. I play like 6 gachas now, Snow Break did do the lewd path and they are back in the game. Brown Dust 2 is super dirty overall but they are sooo gracious on giving out free pulls. TOF will still remain a chore for me. I just wish that they just use one fucking currency for everything!
In my opinion, this game doesn't require spending quite a lot of money to complete some of the content contained in it, as a free to play player I can survive until now. I got the SEA regional TOP Tanker title as a free to play player
The game doesn't actually require any spending, nor does Genshin Impact. You can completed both games with just in game rewards. It is that people keep getting messages from other people making them feel like they need to keep up with the meta or do the best damage to be acceptable. Because both games are largely designed around the single player experience even TOF, so basically, people are only competing against themselves. So there is no reason why someone would need to roll on any banner unless it was due to their own personal goals or aims or more realistically per pressure.
The fact this game is not in EOS yet, is what amazes me.

Yeah, it amazed me that me and my crew and my friends just had gatherings 49 people on TOF APAC twice a few weeks ago. And TOF keep improving in terms of world building, SSR quality, and generous gacha cuz only need 110 pulls (if you're unlucky) to get a limited SSR.
And aside from Alter and EVA Collab units, all SSR on TOF will get into standard banner anyway, and gold nuc is free〜 free A6 old units from patch 2.0 3.0 already (currently 4.3 when I write this comment)
Also, if you got friends, you can do exploration together and even reach out of map like I did, 15 km 8 km away from the main map.
Greetings, from C6 x 2 Genshin user who happen to love and enjoy TOF more, carrying people with my old Anna A6, Free A6 Lan + A3 Asuka.
the eva colab wasn't bad at all imo, you could get tones of free stuff like cosmetics and penpen also asuka and rei (who didn't have voice lines due to copyright) are both extremely fun to play. Although i am really disappointed with the lack of voice lines of normal characters. also tof has had a problem with cutscenes that include a custom character glitching or lagging so they bit the bullet and made it the default mc.
Separately the thing with comparing tof to hoyo games in terms of power creep is that for example genshin barley produces any good characters in the name of keeping the balanced (3.0 had alot of this), and with a guarantee of 180 pulls which requires months of grinding why pull new characters that could be bad when you could pull old ones or just the archons as they will always be meta. With tof there are 2 guarantees for characters, after 2 losses and after 120 pulls. i pulled for shenhe a while back and couldn't pull for ayaka as i lost 2 months of saving so shenhe is useless to me until i can find 180 pulls for whenever ayaka has a rerun baring in mind that i would try to pull for other characters in that time.
overall the power creep is bad but not as bad as people make it out to be Fiona is still one of the most powerful characters in the game as she's immune to greybite and is a healer. Also you can make teams with practically any character that isn't on the standard banner apart from a few. people do over exaggerate the flaws of tof which ngl are very common in games like it. The meta lasts 6 months but you really dont need the meta, a new character might replace an ilder character but it doesnt mean that that older character is suddenly useless unless they were useless at the beginning. But whatever tof bad because reasons i guess.

I want the game to improve not to die 😢There is just no other game like it out there. As in an anime (true)MMO RPG combining dynamic combat and movement, character creation and customization, interesting open worlds and great OST. These were and still is the main features that keeps me playing.
If your f2p, yes you wont be on the leaderboard, If your new p2w u wont be either cause grind over time matters too. But if your in it just for the exploration, the vibes and the gameplay for different weapons, go for it. Every SSR weapons will eventually be in the standard pool (until EoS that is).
And game gives enough ressources to buy 1 or 2 copy for limitted banner weapons. Not every banners though, only every 3rd/4rth banner, one of the reasons why its so important to main only one element for synergie.
But if you want to be able to compete then ToF and Gachas in general are not for you.
The reason there is no powercreep in genshin is because there is no playable content lol.
As for ToF, unfortunately your case is similar to that of many people, expect Lin A6 to do everything, the case for this game is that there is a balance between the weapons, Lin was a buffer weapon, you needed strong dps that will take advantage of it Even now, buffer weapons like Claudia have their use with Asuka, another point of this game is also to have good gameplay, unlike GI, where you can make mistakes in the rotation and many other things, but nothing will happen, since the the game does not display your damage, nor is there any difficulty that warrants it. On the other hand, in ToF, failing or delaying a rotation drastically reduces your dps and this obviously makes your investment feel much more obsolete.
In short, ToF is probably the only gacha in which it matters to know how to play to get the most out of your investment.

Agree🤣 I'm day 1 both games, I loved the beauty and quality of Genshin so I have 2 C6 cuz I love their design and function, but yea those C6 Ayaka Kokomi really helpful to clear Abyss since I'm a casual who don't have Kazuha Zhongli or meta units, and I A6 them cuz I want a time saving healer Kokomi and want my Ayaka to have 3 fans... but yea Genshin hardest content is Abyss.
Then I move to TOF, happen to love it more, got friends etc, and know that TOF SSR gonna be free on standard banner in the future.
So yeah I just A6 the ones that I really love and comfy for long term, not really bothered by powercrept, cuz TOF has contents that need teamwork to do it, it's more fun that way.

FFW to late june 2024, WuWa just released and it is exceeding expectations left and right.

I am the opposite. I went from Genshin to TOF for 1 reason is that I invested to coop viable unit because I had fun during version 1 and suddenly they stop releasing such event (the boss rush/hypostasis). They eventually rerun them but not like before and it took 2 years where my friends are already left the game for gameplay being repetitive. HSR even has better qol and end game for a 1 year game than Genshin fr.
So here I am in TOF, the major problem is the powercreep. Even matrices get to increase each rotation like why not just make the initial effect as standard values for all so it can be reused. I also get A6 Lin and 3s Matrices knowing that it will save Flame but turns out to be the worst one effect of all the element it buffs in global.
Why I cant quit TOF yet because I have someone to play with (and yes we are Genshin players and still playing but we cant do the same coop here from there).

this game was never the genshin killer. Wuthering Waves is.
They spend more time creating gacha outfits than fixing bugs. Even the 4.0 update will bring a $100 vehicle gacha and $10-$100 vehicle skins for it.
I literally deleted the game last month after playing since the console launch. I did have a mobile account since the mobile release but the game is not cross platform when it comes to console and mobile accounts. All I was doing is the dailies and log out.. It was actually feeling like a chore just to log into the game even. Then their new game, NTE , trailer dropped. Had to make space for that haha.. I already play so many games on a daily basis and I had to at least free up some time. The game feels like there's nothing to do after you explored all maps, gotten most 5 star weapons and completed all quests.. It's too buggy, laggy and the UI is a complete mess. I kinda feel like I wasted my time even starting and playing ToF.

I never said that Hoyo doesn't have power creep. I said they were good at managing it. Neuvilette may be powerful but you don't need him to 36-star the Abyss. Acheron is powerful but restrictive in what team comps you can use her in and also once again, not required to clear endgame content. Contrast this with ToF, which literally has no place for characters once they drop out of being top 3 in their element/role.

You can have a lot of fun with coco/zero/lyra and these chars are over a year old (two of them are beginner chars). And if you can`t feel the powercreep in hsr then you are a spender. For pure fiction lvl 4 and moc 12 you NEED the latest meta chars or op artifacts.
But at the end it doesn`t matter anything.

I've played for more than 700 hours on steam version alone, and that was last played about a year and few months ago. Played from launch till the release of Fenrir iirc. The reason i quit was due to power creeping. Imagine invested in a unit till A6 it just to get power creep by a newer A3 character. Lucky for me i did invested on A6 Lin at that time because she goes well with any other elements. I've had other characters invested in as well like Frigg, Saki and Alyss (ice characters), but knowing these character will just get overpowered by upcoming characters make all the old character seems useless. The content is great but due to my invested older characters getting more and more irrelevant, I decided to stop because I'd rather play and spend money on games/characters that could last for a long time at the very least. But I do miss playing ToF again, I miss my old crewmates.
I just simply don’t like how there’s like this power roadblock. Where the base ssr weapons while they can get you through most content it’s clear the limited weapons are just literal power creeps. And I’m not even gonna mention the sr weapons because they are absolutely dogshit. At the end of the day this is a gacha I get it. But if I need 6 copies of a character to make a standard character function is ridiculous to me. Pay to win is probably a overstatement of what this game is it’s like a mix of pay for convenience and a touch of pay to win. And I just don’t like it
You don't need A6 to enjoy open world contents, Joint Ops, VA, etc.
Remember that all TOF limited SSR except Alter and Collab (Asuka Rei) will be on Gold Nucleus Standard banner, so free A6.
And just pull A0 or A3, use the buff on the Bygone that give you +3 stars rating up when you want to clear Bygone.
Not all games have to follow the rule that SR should be 'useful for combat.'

ToF SR are useful to build the tokens when you're gachaing. 1 SR = 2 tokens. That's why, at worst, we toffers only need 110 pulls to get SSR limited using tokens (if you lost 80/80 for example)

Its not good you will enjoy the story and maybe the first 100 hours of this game this game has great potential but has way to many flaws in its system like gacha in a mmo powercreep lack of playerbase cant even find enough players for normal events if dont play with guild you cant take bosses so you cant pass at some powerlevel big openworld but not much there to farm beside dailys I feel like this game would be better as a solo game like genshin the mmo part of this game just doesnt work like they want it to be to many servers on a game with small playerbase they should merge last the performance and lags fps drops in this game are something else
I agree with alot of the stuff u mentioned. For me personally power creep isn't too much an issue since I don't try to min max stuff (like I skipped hi damage character s just cuz they felt not fun to play). Aside from that the story issues and even the new server issues I agree with.
I used to enjoy ToF luckily I only spent a few bucks for a battle pass and one sub. Quit gatcha for a while after ToF then now I'm playing WuWa. Just the fluidity and story makes alot of differences and impact on players.

You don't feel the power creep in genshin because there's no content that shows you the power creep in that game, there's no damage numbers, no rankings etc. You can complete all content in ToF as a F2P, I'm a F2P since day one and havent had much issue with any content. You can build a team without issue since the game gives you enough pulls, you dont need to max out any character. OOW difficulty reduces over time, so the whales can tryhard for leaderboard rankings while F2Ps can get their rewards too.
Genshin is a good game but once you're able to finish the abyss there's not much to work towards, the story is enjoyable but then that's that. I enjoy Genshins story but once it's done it takes a good amount of time for new story to come out which is basically the only content the game offers. I think both games are good in their own ways and comparisons of power creep like this are unfair.
Yea I notice the power creep of dps path and how tanks are useless and picked to be healer becuase I never face this two side effects. I am not stubid to pay for somthing useless in near future this game even global didnt prevent the power creep when they tryed in the beginning. But eventually, they are forced to go for super power creepnsame as cn which dissapoint everybody even whales.
Totally agree with this power creep assessment, and focus on milking cash, rather than on the long term viability of the game. I gave up long ago.

If you're not gonna whale, why are you complaining about power creeping? Unless you're going for leaderboards, power creeping doesn't matter at all in this game. I'm a day 1 player and I don't pull copies at all for any character and I just collect. But look at me, I can do high tier content easily and solo Frontier Clash Hard. Anyone can do it too. Power creep is an issue, I agree but this game incentivizes you to pull for characters and feel REWARDED for pulling for characters and use it.
Every single patch, every single new weapon that I obtain it's a different type of gameplay and makes it easy to catch up because even at low to no investment just the bare minimum of obtain the character even without their matrices, they will be viable for the long run. Power creeping in this game IS f2p friendly because I'm an f2p myself. You're not asked to invest a lot, you're not asked to invest everything. Just get the character and you'll perform well.
The mindset of "If I'm not the best then I'm nothing" in gacha game is ridiculous.
Before you say that you need whales to carry you in end game content then that's just pure lies. Joint Ops 8 is difficult and is definitely possible solo. Joint Ops Balanced maxes out everyone's weapon and equalizes everyone's power to be the same. No one is gonna carry you in JOB, not even whales. Frontier Clash Hard is not that hard, it's doable solo. Void Rift is definitely doable solo because of how much buffs you get. Void Rift Abyssal is one of the extremely incredibly late endgame but four f2p players can do it. End of the day it's an MMO and you need people to play with. Origin of War is probably the only content where I can agree with you where whales can carry you since it's incredibly end game content. But Origin of War is not that rewarding and it's mostly there to limit test your team composition and try to see how far you can go.
Comparing powercreeping to Hoyo's games, specifically Genshin Impact is ridiculous considering not a single content in Genshin Impact can be considered "hard." Trust me, I played the game enough to know that you only need Bennett and then another support like Zhongli or Kazuha and then fill the rest with literally anyone and you can clear any content.
See Honkai Star Rail for example. Acheron came out and literally blew every other character in the game and it's controversial and very much noticeable because HSR's content is hard in high level. It's the same with ToF. ToF's content is ridiculously hard so power creeping is far more noticeable.
Mihoyo doesn't handle power creeping "well" Acheron, Sparkle, IL Dan Heng, Jingliu and the entirety of Star Rail proves that. Genshin doesn't feel like there's power creep because there's not enough content that is really hard.
Evangelion collab is incredibly scuffed and I feel like they held back on the weapons because Domain 9 weapons are leagues beyond Evangelion weapons. It did somewhat suck.
Overall I'm sad to hear about your experience of the game but I heavily disagree with lots of the things that were said here.
Disagree about hard content in Star Rail, it is very simple. There was a direct spike of difficulty with releases of Swarm and 11-12 Abyss, but even these new gamemodes don't cause any trouble.

It's so true too my 1 month new character with $0 spent was able to Solo up to VA6 with Plotti A1, some characters are just better at soloing than others, an things like VA, VR, are cheesable and FCH also easy too once you get decent gears which new players have many many free gift menus and missions that older accounts cannot see

You know, that’s a good point. That’s a really good point. But, how is it that other MMORPGs are doing well while ToF struggles? Even Albion Online is doing fantastic. Are you going to say because they don’t have gacha? If that’s the case then there no reason to not compare ToF with Genshin since they are both gacha. And at the same time, with ToF being a MMORPG, would it be ok if it is compared to other MMORPGs out there? Like WoW, FF14, Guild Wars 2, OSRS, Albion Online, and more. You feel the power crept in ToF because its MMO, if Genshin has that ranking system or bygone you would feel the power crept in Genshin whenever they released new character. First of all, star rail and GI isn't MMO in the first place they more like a closed world in a way that there's no competition you can clear the MOC even not 0-1 cycling it because you will still get the reward as long as you clear the stages not being lower than the given cycle limit, same with Genshin abyss you can take longer in abyss as long as you can clear it with the time requirement and get every reward.
ToF is like Honkai Impact 3 you only feel the power crept because there's a ranking for players who clears its faster especially in nirvana. ToF is an F2P can because you can literally clear everything even though you're using old weapons, it will only be a p2w if you're a competent player. I'm f2p player myself and I can still clear/solo WB, Joint Operation, VR, FCH and other contents.

The story is actually great, and the developers managed to swing it to the game's lore.
This is just a "collab" meaning to say, the game will just try inherit some of the features of the selected anime.
There are only "selected" aspects that can be put into use.
There are license limitations in terms of what TOF can do.
You can't blame TOF if the original creator doesn't allow it.
(YES, this includes the licensing for voice actors, and there's a lot that they didn't allow ToF to do, some scenes removed etc.).
To be fair, I agree with you about weapon power creep but that's all.
Comparing it with other games though is a bit absurd, these games does not belong to the same genre,
different developers, different target market, different game strategy and different game engine.

I personally think that NIKKE of all things did better with their Nier collab. They integrated a lot of Nier's aesthetics into the UI and overall design for the event much more thoroughly and the writing for the story quest leaned far more heavily into the themes of Nier's story. ToF's Eva collab didn't really touch on any of the themes that Evangelion typically explores, nor did it really focus much on character interactions beyond Shirli's brief speculation that the Eva pilots are going through something similar to Zeke.
While I did enjoy my time with ToF, the main point I was trying to get across in this video is that for me, I had to choose between keeping up with ToF or using the time/money I would sink into it on expanding to other games. I don't regret the time I put into ToF, I just can't justify continuing with it.

Regardless, powercreep isn't too bad in Genshin but that's because the big 4 (XQ, XL, Benny, and Fischl) are just perpetual gatekeepers until the end of time. Also their reluctance to directly change a character like Dehya or Arlan (from HSR) means they will never ever be even remotely viable. No amount of indirect buffing with new characters will make them good; their kits are just too dogshit. Especially with how astronomically stronger characters like Bennett is compared to Dehya or Jingliu and Acheron is compared to any other HSR dps.
Dendro reactions are more important that those 4 to handle power creep - there is basically nothing in the game you can't beat using some cheaply made hyperbloom party with just base EM stats on artifacts and kuki as a trigger. Although you could say that XQ is one of the easiest 4* character to build such a team - you can still do it without him (on one of my accounts i for a while was using Barbara)
If Arlan is like Qiqi tier yeah he can't be save. But Genshin has prove that like Furina exist which can revive old characters like Jean viability or even Xianyun revived Diluc viability especially those who have him C6. Finger crossed Aventurine gonna revive Yanqing at least.
Isn't a Black Swan and Kafka team comparable to Jingliu/DHIL comps? Like, their DoT potential is absurd.
Also, before you mention that those are 2 5*, the best comps from those hypercarries usually need other 5* units.
But about Acheron, is she really THAT strong? Like, I know her dmg during her ult is ludicrous but, is it common for it to do over 300k, or a big amount like that, every time it is used? Haven't seen that many showcases.

with wuthering waves dropping this games in trouble its sad to see too because the character creator and the mobility i thought were cool ways to improve the formula of these types of games but even on release i very quickly noticed how grindy and horrible combat felt with certain units and thats just not a good idea for any game, especially one with action combat and unique weapon types forcing you to use crap you dont care about.
not to mention the combat still has issues its not nearly as skill based as it should have been and wuthering waves is definitely scratching that itch for me and many other people while still being more fair and fun tof is taking a large L unfortunately
it would be nice to see this game relaunch and overhauled to work more like wuthering waves when it comes to balance and difficulty and then improve on the exploration adn stuff so its more interesting and unique for the games strengths rather than copying genshin with a way more mobility they shouldve made things from the ground up to be mroe unique truly a waste of potential and im tired of seeing games do stuff like this and ruining otherwise good games

The reason I quit ToF is because of how buggy the game is, and the dev team simply ignored the issues. They didn't even fix them after a year when I came back and quit again.
i gave it up to for a lot of the same reasons but I also couldn't stand how crappy the storyline was I'm someone who loves gameplay but I also love storylines a lot of it helps me get more attached to my characters listening to them almost sounded like an AI so I wasn't all that thrilled😓😢😭 so I'd rather just stick to genshin impact and star rail not only the stories Good the character details are awesome and the characteristics of them are really cool I'm always on the edge of my seat with the new updates they never disappoint me !!!

I was close to swiping for daily pass quite a few times in this game. Thankfully, I didnt. I’d have regretted spending even $5 on this game.
I've been looking for reviews for this game to see if it is worth even investing a couple of hours of my time. Dude you invested 500 hours in it!, I think it is safe to say that this game is definitely worth a try. What game in this world gives you 500 hours of anything?. Freaking Final Fantasy Rebirth is around 100 hours worth of content. I don't understand how someone can make a video complaining and making a huge drama out of quitting a game they played for 500 freaking hours!!.
My question would be. Out of those 500 hours, what % of that was legit fun?. Leaving memes and jokes aside, I don't think someone can genuinely play a bad game and be miserable for 500 hours, a good % of that time had to be good if not most of it.
That... depends, I guess. I certainly enjoyed my time with ToF, but there was a fair amount of that that was slogging through dailies and the abysmal time-limited minigames they force you to play if you want good rewards. I was satisfied with the time/money I spent back when it was something I could play with friends, but now that they've left the game I can no longer consider it a "social cost", if that makes any sense.
Keep in mind that while I did get a lot of play hours out of ToF, if I were to get back into it fully it'd no longer be an enjoyable experience due to everything on my account being outmoded by power creep. I'd have to pull for a bunch of new characters and constantly be playing catchup with gear progression. Meanwhile, FF Rebirth will be enjoyable for years to come since it's a single player experience that can be replayed decades down the line, and also has the possibility of mods adding more replay value. Of course, comparing a single player game to a MMO is a bit strange in that regard, but I hope you get my point here.

While I agree they botched the story for the collab it’s still been lots of fun. BTW you can go for 6 star on every character but it’s a waste of money. Whaling on gacha games is dumb. Both of the collab characters are great at 0-1 star and that seems to be the trend with most new characters. A FTP gamer can get every character 0-1 star without spending a dime or can get a single element to 3-6 star each rotation. I’m FTP and have both a phys and volt teams with 60k + attack in their respective element and top dps in raids and other content with few to none of weapons or matrix being maxed out. This game is extremely FTP friendly so if your opinion it costs to much it means you just have little self control and bad spending habits.

If that were the case then older unit would still have their viability, you HAVE to go for newer units otherwise you're dead weight which is one of the many reasons why this game lost it's casual audience. I call extreme amounts of BS on "top dps" of your raids. It's either for reasons being you're playing with players that haven't played long, or you didn't match up with a whale or dolphin account that's a veteran (which is concerning since this would lead to speculation on where did all the whales go?"

That aside you don’t need the older characters because you can easily acquire new characters as a FTP player. You don’t need to max out your characters to enjoy all the content the game has to offer. Unless people want to sit on high leader boards there is zero reason to whale on this game. I’m FTP and talking from actual experience as a FTP player.
They give you a lot of cosmetic tho and pretty skin too not just pen pen aside many pulls too

I have been playing this game since its release, and I got the title TOP Tanker in the SEA region
I found your core problem, "if you can't max them out, whats the point?". Day one player with close to 3500 hrs here.
Started an alt for the collab and to see the new player experience, which is a dogs breakfast, but still fun. I had 350 pulls saved for Rei and pulled A5+A0 chips. Slow burn pulling one final copy for her meow.
As for the main I have every banner skin in the game. My prio is to just do 110 pulls on each and move on as 110 pulls equates to 120 flame gold and enough to buy a copy of the banner. If I go for the occasional chip set then only a C0 set. This has allowed me to cycle through any element I feel like playing.
That said, the banners are just the sauce in your samich. The rest of your gear plays a massive role and should be your primary focus. Via titan gear I've built a reasonably powerful rainbow set that has Frost, Volt and Fire on every piece. Due to dual element banners now the set covers Phys by defacto.
The cost of all that? One max Tanium top up, BP and monthly pass (each month).
Your first statement implies that you don't need to max out characters, and then you went and completely sabotaged that by proving the opposite with your alt account and talking about maxing out Rei. Yeah, sure, you might get enough premium currency as a new player to max out the current character, but what about the next banner? Or the one after that? And who's to say how long that maxed out character will even remain relevant for? Lin was supposed to be the F2P/low spender savior, only for her to be ousted by Fiona 4 patches later.
Honestly, pulling 1 copy of each character in ToF is a massive waste, you're better off sticking to one element and maxing out whichever one is newest.
Gear progression is both heavily time-gated and completely bypassable with spending money - which means that a free player will never be able to surpass a whale.
Max Tanium top up + BP/Monthly pass for 1.5 yrs ~= $490. For that money, I got a new RX6800 GPU to upgrade my PC ($400), Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition + Cutting Edge Warbond ($60), and Palworld ($30). I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to get a lot more mileage out of those purchases than I got from the characters I pulled on my ToF account.
@@CDVermilion oh yea the money to value ratio is bad on most gachas and especially on this one, the powercreep is just too fast and too strong compared to other gacha's like hsr and genshin where even a year later you will find a use for any char even if its powercreped by say Acheron for example

Isn’t the characters in this game just skins or are they their own characters?
I mean yeah, the character model itself is just a skin in ToF. When you pull for a character you get both the character skin as well as the weapon, and from there you can choose to use that skin, another character's skin, or just your own custom character. When you're building your comp you equip weapons, not characters, so the skin doesn't really matter.

Scarlet Nexus has been on my radar for a while, as I make it through the backlog of video ideas I'll be covering it at some point.
Yeah still enjoying it cuz 1 I ain’t no whale I can just uninstall this game whenever I want it too and just play other games. 2. I never spend a single dime to it. Even tho I like this game. 3. You can still have fun with this game, no need to be dominant or waste hefty amount of money to have fun. you just need to play and explore appreciate the visuals the surroundings and all. cuz eventually you’ll quit this game and explore a much more relevant things in life. Games should be fun… BTW, at least less time watching you crying about why the game sucks more time for the real players to play this game. And by real players I mean skilled players that doesn’t rely on money to be powerful

Yeah I just couldn’t justify putting the time into this game anymore, it was clear that they don’t give enough of a shit and I’m praying that MAYBE the 2.0 version will make everything better. When I came across games such as hsr, Snowbreak, nikke and pgr I was met with so much sadness seeing what tof could have been but I was blinded the dopamine rush and now here I am, not played for 2 months and don’t have any plans to return unless I see it has a chance to become what those games are already

Ironically I don't play ggame because my characters are too overpowered. I can come back 6mo or 1 year later and still face roll content. I can oneshot stuff for about an hour before I'm like, "This is useless." I have nothing to play for. I don't even need any of the new weapons or characters because my Raiden comp is just tooooo op and I built it two years ago. I got furina cuz it was complementary and then never played again. I'm literally just waiting to buy the grass fairy girl then I'm done done because I've managed to miss her banner multiple times.
I also quit Tower of fantasy after playing for at least 300+ hours but I’m definitely going to miss the music, the characters, and especially the combat. It’s just the stupid gacha system and the power creep that completely ruined the game for me. A requirement to have an A1 character/weapon for it to work shouldn’t be possible….

Is it actually a full remake of the game, or is it the "ToF Classic" reboot server that they talked about a while ago?
I dunno, maybe if they give you some amount of premium currency in the remake/reboot equivalent to the money you spent on the original, I would consider it, but if not, what's the point? As I noted in this video, I don't want to have to start all over again - especially if it means having to pay more money to re-purchase premium skins and etc.

Mate u deserve a lot more subscribers than you have. You should expand your "Best game you shouldn't play!" series into proper games (Console/PC). You gonna get a huge influx of viewers for sure.
500hours is basically 21 days? I really dont care if a person is busy, have famies ,have other priorities, need to touch some grass, but 500hours is nonsense reason to give relevant opinion that obviously it makes irrelevant already, i swear why do most people think 500hours is base rule to determined wether the game is good or not especially if the game content is bigger than other gacha game, yes some of your opinion about game is absolutely correcr but if ur saying that from your 500hours perspective, your opinion feels like a copy paste of other legit opinion.
The moment they nerfed and fix crow bug dmg to f2p to make whales crying feel better i know the game will doom to fail. Especially removing servers to merge btw( actually shutting down) and with reboot making this game mid at best. Genshin way better hope Wuthering Waves is not P2W like this to actually playable and hope community is not worse than genshin because genshin haters might be worse community than BNHA community 2.0
With all that said and done, I'm gonna play TOF for the first time now .. Since, GenSin is trash, I chose this one instead ~ 😎🍻

In regards to outfit customization like TOF, I wouldn't expect it. I'd be pleasantly surprised, but if the option exists, it would probably just be alternate outfits like Punishing: Gray Raven, the devs' previous game.

To sound like a broken record about how "power creep came way too fast and ruined the game." Yeah it did, it was a huge issue that the developers never addressed nor tried to fix, your character "if you put money into it" lost its relevancy in a matter of months and it really killed any notion on why people should put any money down into the game. I don't understand management behind this game, they asked for CN community feedback, and what they got as to one of the most reoccurring words was "BALANCING". So what does management decide? We'll make a "classic" server for CN. After announcing it, community uproar "or what little is left within the global community" were at odds with the server and some thinking global wouldn't get it and man were they wrong about that. What's great about classic is it dumbs the game down to no elements, and characters all have "balance", but if you're a returning player who thinks you can use the characters or your account in classic by a via transfer, too bad, you gotta restart from scratch. What a great company

They indirectly nerfed all the old characters. There is something called armor dissolve which replaces grievous completely thus making your old phys units completely useless.
Just like DCUO, Tof is just a, you must buy more and more to keep playing. It's sad. I left the game about a year ago once they said they making a whole new server for tof. So all the money I spent was just a slap in the face. I will never play that game again even if they decide to change. Which they won't

I swear i might understand him if he could play a months cause u need to discover other content which u cnnot do in 500hours, players becomingly weak compare to what real mmo in the past and how a grind game supposed to be, yet weirdly enough their a strong person when expressing their one minded impression about a game in a short time lmao.
