I have the Parfum. Every time I wear it I like it more. I have a couple hundred fragrances in my collection, and it has found its way into my top 10 favorite cold weather scents. I’ve been debating whether or not to buy Intense. This video helps.

I have both and I can surely say these two are the pinnacle of Mens designer fragrance.
As an older gent, I like both, but prefer the parfum version on cold Winter days. I am wearing the parfum version now.
One or two sprays is all you need . . . this is powerful !

@@sonkullanc8316 Yes, it's very expensive, but you may be able to pull it off for special occasions. However, it is definitely not something that I would wear every day.
Have and love both, but Dior Homme Parfum is, IMO, THE best designer fragrance there is.

Dior Homme Intense it's a masterpiece, a very unique fragrance, elegant at all. It's one of the most praised in my collection, along with Le Male Le Parfum.

DHI is just perfect! I bought DHP out of hype and blind bought it because it was hard to find. If I had the opportunity to try first, i would've never bought it.

Parfum was so good I bought a back a couple weeks later.
One of the very few frags I have a backup of. Took me over a year to get my first bottle, and as soon as I tried it, went hunting for a backup.

I love the parfum, to me is the best designer fragrance ever. But the smell of dior homme intense is something out of this world. I enjoy so much smelling it that i bought 2 bottles, one to spray when i go out and one to spray in the house when i'm alone🤣

Parfum is my all time favorite fragrance. Love that lipstick iris note. It is a must have for any mans fragrance collection.

But I agree with Erica that lipstick effect with DHI is super amazing. However, DHP hands down the best.
We live in times where powerful fragrances are preferred. People have the need to make their presence noticed. And im pretty sure that thats the main reason Dior Homme parfum is preferred in this case even though DHI is superior in every aspect in my opinion. Elegant as hell too.
I own & love both DHI & DHP. My first bottle of DHP I still have from 6 years ago. I rarely wear it, but it is arguably the best quality designer ever made that can hold it's on against many niche. It is IMHO, superior to DHI in almost every way.
However, DHI I wear Much more often, and I'm on my 2nd bottle within 10 years. It is more versatile and wearable. Its not a manly man scent. More modern well dressed man; a woman could easily pull it off.
With that being said, if you live in an area with longer colder winter weather, you might get more wears out of DHP.
If your like me (I live in the south), DHI might work better for you.
Good take on these two. The original is HoF worthy, although I could live without the orange note. Intense is too nice, unobtrusive and loath to intrude/offend [ie Wussy]. Intense is all too typical of the under-performing Designer segment.
I very much agree with your whole assessment. I’m own both, but Parfum feels way more specific in its use.

One of my top 5 is Dior Homme Intense. Both are great but man if you can get Dior Homme Intense, it is worth it.

The way to wear it in my view is Homme Parfum in Winter while Homme Intense is mainly for Summer. Both for elegant events, suits, meetings, or generally any encounters that require a confident, masculine but classy impression ❤ You need both, and also Homme Sport for daytime running around, hot summer days and even the gym. However if you have the budget, upgrade the Sport into New Look from Christian Dior’s La collection Privee collection. It is just more rounded, quality and exclusive in the way it does everything sport does but better ❤
I bought the perfume for $194 ,I was going to return it but will give it more time ,it’s kinda heavy but I feel it very elegant,I’m sure in winter will smell way better
I let my Mother smell Homme Intense today and she burst into tears saying it is the most beautiful scent she has ever smelled and begged for the bottle to spray it on her bedding and winter jackets. She said it made her feel safe. So that was interesting. Intense is my favourite, but I love Parfum too and I would wear intense more often but parfum id great in the fall and winter. To me… i am not expert and just have a large collection of the Dior range

Erica. I had about a 10 frag rotation going. I always come back to Nasomatto Pardon. In the cold here in Austin, Ive been going all out in Pardon, Iommi, and Via Cavour. When I say cold, it is 20s and 30s now. If you havent tried Pardon, this is the definition of class. On first sniffs you will wonder what is going on. The cocoa plus floral plus cinnamon is so smooth and pleasing. I thought the cinnamon would be like cinnamon roll gourmand. It is the essence of cinnamon like a deep soft zing effect. I think James Bond would rock Pardon.
I have both. Intense is overall better for me. Intense is stronger with more longevity and projection. Parfum is a little richer, but is weaker in comparison.
DHP is definitely stronger and way more complete than DHI, I give a huge edge to DHP as a perfumer myself in terms of complexity and power, the intense is no slouch but lags behind by a dime, the leather on the intense is more delicate than DHP that is more like a cuir de Russie, but overall the oud animalic notes, the overall blend of everything smells perfect, the best designer fragrance I’ve ever had the pleasure to smell, DHP is a masterpiece 11/10
Intense is more for special occasions, not to wear when going to supermarket.
Parfum hands down the King of all designer.
New version of Intense is missing a note. I actually layer both of these frags together lol

Sport smells nothing like these, completely different fragrance.
parfume is a special fragrance...there is nothing like that in universe.
dh intense is realy cool fragrance but there are a lot of fragrances like it, and even better! for example prada lhomme intense is way better iris and versitale fragrance then dh intense..prada is the best for me..second is valentino uomo intense and the third is dior homme intense.even ginevchy edp is realy strong alternative for dhi.
parfume is real niche fragrance and even in niches no niche fragrance is like it.
its pure uniquness and masterpiece.

I bought both a week ago. Still need to wear them and try them. Still summer here by me so I have to wait. But for now on paper and skin.. they are both good the same but also so different.
Definitely seems like the parfum can give headaches way faster than the intense.
I have the Intense and love it. Will have to find the Parfume. Sounds very interesting.
I sold my Intense after a couple of wears. It was too musty for my taste.

I love the Dior Homme line and own all…except the Parfum- I got rid of it pretty quickly. The rose/oud combo wasn’t good for me. Plus, there was never a time that I could wear the Parfum, and not the Intense, but plenty of times that I could wear Intense and definitely not the Parfum. Intense is way better.
Actually, The Original is my favorite!
What would you recommend if i get only one? Out of intense, edt, sport. I only have cologne one right now
@@ZeroPurpleRansom if you like iris (powdery) than I’d recommend either Dior Homme Original (EDT) or Intense (EDP). I like the original because it has iris and is very versatile. If you don’t like the iris, Dior Homme 2020. (EDT) is also a great scent…

I am like other a Big fan of DHI and was looking DHP expectibg it to be better than DHI but it os not in my opinion they are quite different and your explanation is spot on . I find the parfum bit too much too .

Dior homme parfum rugged? Personally to me it is the best designer fragrance ever made. You might get fragrances similar to intense but none close to parfum
Dior homme intense (old batches) are wayyy better than dior homme parfum. But the new dior homme intense (reformulation) is bad compared to dior homme parfum. But overall i dont like leather and dior homme parfum has too much leather for my liking

What differences do you get between the valentino uomo intense and and dior homme intense seeing as they are often compared?
To me DHI is a little softer, cozier and you fell more of a powdery/cocoa effect. VUI is slightly stronger, sweeter with a mixed powdery/creamy feel. The sweetnes from the vanilla is a little more prominent, ther is a some initial freshness given by the mandarin orange, and the main difference is the suede which gives it a more mascoline and (to me) interesting smell.
Dior Homme Intense is pretty special👌
I got the Parfum today, got it because it's rare and some how it's available on our Duty Frees. it's very good and i feel like it will grow on me but i the first impression i got from DHI was better, and Original is also still available in my country so contemplating if i should get DHI or Original or just get both of them lol (I'm addicted)

it gave me a same vibe of Reflection 45 by Amouage. I dont say the same scent but it realy remained me Reflection 45. if you have a reflection 45 try it. I have both of them so it is not just a felling or one time smelling!
I got a 10ml decant of Parfum and honestly i get nothing of the usual description people give it. Nothing animalic, nothing leathery, slightly rosy Iris. At this point im considering that i've been scammed and i've been sold Dior Homme Intense and not the Parfum.

Dior Homme Parfum is such a sensual scent that many guys will not apply it before a Saturday night date. Why? The scent is so sexy that they wind up falling in love with themselves, cancel their date and consider autosexuality (look that one up)!

I have the old batch the intense version it’s the Beast ! the new version is reformuliert no lipstick and iris very bad I don’t understand why ? Only 2 hours!
And the Parfüm version the first 2 houre is very strong after you smell it is good not bad !
