It’s one of my favorites too, I just love their style. My favorite colognes by them are Homme Sport and Sauvage Elixir. YSL is good too, but their Y Eau de Parfum didn’t last as long as Elixir did…
For me chanel,dior and ysl all 3 are top notch.

Who cares about longevity... Just decant a bit, keep it in your pocket. Respray every 3hrs. It's just refreshing

I completely disagree with the statement that you don't need to own Dior Homme 2020 if you have any Bleu de Chanel. I have Bleu de Chanel EDP and Dior Homme 2020, and they are so different on my skin that I don't even particularly see why they're similar other than they're both fresh at their core. BDC EDP is so much more citrus-y and sweeter than DH2020 on my skin. DH has a more classy, evening type iris to it for me with a softness that BDC doesn't have at all.
I dont get the Iris in DH 2020. but I agree that theyre distinct from BDC, even the edt.

You are right. In BDC is a herbal sweetness. Very penetrating. DH doesnt have that. It has its own standpoint due to the Iris and Iris root. As a woman I like Dior Homme Cologne in summer. Just so beautiful.
There's no Iris in the DH 2020, it's probably the Pink pepper you're picking up. Lovely fragrance but not strong enough for me. I got the DH sport today, lemony sharp, little spicy n woody, very loud freshly. I want the DH Intense next. The DH 2020 is more interesting than BDC for me by far. I just pick up the top notes with the BDC, certainly seems lacking in depth after wearing Oud Wood by Tom Ford.

I prefer Dior Homme 2020 just slightly a bit more than BDC edt (which I also love for that grapefruit; it has its own vibe). I understand what you said about it being too basic, I get it, but when that smokiness shines, it shines. Plus it smells more woodsy natural than BDC. It smells a bit older because of the smokiness, but it takes a while to warm and cozy up to it. (Btw it also works layering it a tiny bit with DH sport for that hint of brighter lemon and frankincense.) you should wear it more, your bottle’s 99 percent full. 😊 thanks for the run-through of Diors. The cologne rocks here in the tropics, and I am curious about Dior homme Orig- I don’t get Intense that much, I smelled it a boutique when I went to Oz and it was straight up lipstick. I was underwhelmed because of all the raves, and it was similar to what you get when you bathe with Body Shop Vanilla Chai shower gel.
Wearing DHS2021 between 0 and -5 degrees celsius these days, and it works perfectly. The resinous, woody, pink peppery accords come out wonderfully. It works with my skin so well, radiates like a beast for hours and hours. Best fragrance I own hands down.
The absolute best of the best, mops the floor with so many other scents it‘s not even funny, god bless Demachy!
Hi Omar, i thought you were talk about hteir private line which is phenomenal. Tobacolor, Spice Blend, Ambre Nuit, Oud Ispahan and of course Bois d'argent are all legendary
Higher was my signature scent in college (early 00s). It's watered down now, but still a great scent.

uhhhmmed and ahhhhed over DHI and DHP whilst browsing in the airport (admittedly not the best way to test a fragrance but with four hours to kill had a bit of run on my skin) and ended up with DHI. Wife lvs it.
DHP is probably something I have on my long term wishlist but I have years worth of sprays left in my collection and my next purchase will take the place when something runs out
Dior makes some great fragrances. It's not my favorite designer house, but it makes my favorite designer fragrance ever: Dior Homme Parfum.
I really liked what you said about Dior Home sport my dad was picking a fragrance and I feel like nothing suited him more. He looks scary with a beard but a chill funny guy. I feel like this describes him with the smoky but Woody sweet.

What about Maison Christian Dior line (private). I know that those frags are unisex but those are also Dior. Other than Ambre Nuit I would like to hear your opinions on others like Tobacolor, Vanilla Diorama, Oud Ispahan etc.
My two favourite diors are sauvage elixir and eau sauvage edt but I would like to smell eau sauvage extreme
I really loved Elixir better than the original Sauvage (I’ve only smelled the after shave balm), and I loved Homme Sport 2021. It had a nice, light smell, lasted throughout the day. Sauvage Elixir was very strong, it doesn’t even smell like Sauvage, more like masculinity in a bottle.
Im a few years into my fragrance journey and realized I somehow haven't owned anything by Dior. I used your video as a buying guide and just ordered samples of 5 Dior fragrances. Thanks for the great information Omar.
Dior and Guerlain are two of my favorite houses. You should sample the Dior La Collection Privée as well.
💯 I totally agree with Dior Homme 2020 Dior Homme sport 2021 is way better 😅 but i disagree with Omar on the creativity of Dior . Dior is still creative now , because they are still innovating in the private collection with great recent releases like Tobacolor (better than TF Tobacco Vanille imo I tried it on skin and will definitely buy it) and Vanilla Diorama . And we have to admit that all big designers fragrance lines in the last 10 years like Prada and Givenchy were inspired by Dior.
Also I'm curious to see what Francis Kurdjian who replaced François Demachy as the in house perfurmer will do with Dior if he is.
Dior Homme line (old formulation) is the best like in imo I have all 3 (EDT , Intense and new Parfum ) and all 3 are 10/10 and have different function at the same time . The new DHP formulation have a little Sweetness from the beautiful mandarin orange 🍊 accord and the rose 🌹 on the opening and during the first 3 hours of the wearing experience . The blend is beautiful on this one , my favorite winter fragrance 👍

I always feel like, even if there isn’t any intent, that I am being slighted when reviewers use the term outdated. The term has an agist edge that comes off as less than, or being unworthy. At 60, I have a passion for new and cutting edge perfumery and at the same time I covet my classics like Egoiste (not Platinum, lol), Antaeus, Minotaure, Fahrenheit, Higher Energy, Habit Rouge, and many others.

14:14 Please re-check your Hedion fact with your in-house perfumer. According to Eau Sauvage's GCSM, Hedion was used at 0.5% perfume concentration (not a "large" amount because it was still expensive to produce), Edmond Roudnitska just used Hedion because it was a new AC.

Fahrenheit had some great flankers Fahrenheit Absolute and Aqua Fahrenheit we great. I still wear the EDT when I am doing any outdoor work, like mowing the lawn, working on the car etc

You forgot my favorite fragrance from Dior: "DUNE". Dune is very unique and wonderful. No other fragrance smells like sea and dunes.

I don't think there's anything similar between Fahrenheit Parfum & Bentley for Men Intense. Also Bentley FMI's juice is just as complex & quality as Fahrenheit.
Fahrenheit Parfum is a truly beautiful yet very powerful fragrance. Overspray that juice and someone is going to compliment you for sure!!!!

DHC is definitely not a cold weather scent, if you want versatility, DHS2021 is a better bet

Yes. It's like a slightly fresher version of Elixir. An untrained nose might not be able to distinguish between both.
