    I walked into the sauna and there was some guy there who smelled like he was wearing 12 sprays of Sauvage Elixir. I myself, wearing 14 sprays of Tobacco Vanille, sat across from him while maintaining direct eye contact. He let out a haughty groan, I leaned back, crossed my arms, our stares intensified and thus began the battle of dominance.

      Justin Copeland can be very tiresome. He is constantly having a conversation with the audience that I don't really think exists much with his audience, lecturing about compliments and basic bros. It would be fine if it was one video but not all the time. I've been subscribed to all of these content creators and I am no longer subscribed to any of them. None of them achieve what I am looking for in a fragrance creator. I enjoy those who just come make videos about fragrances they enjoy and want to have a conversation about it for example Scent land, Lanier Smith, and persolaise. Solid reviews from Robes08 , scents of South Jersey, Glam finds, and Joy Amin. Great creative work like George as the Fragrance apprentice is always appreciated. Oh and a fun Guy like Fatboy is great as well. All the Channels that are well pumping out lists and hyping new fragrances are boring and pretty much ruin the community for me. Take care anyone reads this and keep smelling great.

    • @winnienguyen4420
      @winnienguyen4420 Год назад +2

      I think Interlude Man or Naxos can be a downright devastatingly sexy fragrance when worn by the right guy in the right outfit. It isn't a basic bro or gym douche type of fragrance whatsoever. It is a refined, exotic, and very expensive smelling incense, tobacco, or Oud based middle eastern style fragrance meant for a suave, jet set looking guy in a tailored Italian suit, Rolex, and Ferragamos driving a Lamborghini with the top down along the beach in Malibu at night. Likely a European male model or gigolo type. Other fragrances I find fit that same vibe would be Amouage Beach Hut Man and Reflection 45, Chanel Egoiste, YSL Opium Pour Homme, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, Penhaligon's Sohan or my newest dreamy favorite at the moment on my husband the gorgeous Mancera Red Tobacco. Absolutely to die for. These are all high end designer or niche fragrances based around oriental notes of Incense, Oud, and tobacco. Polarizing for your basic man who likely refers to them as smelling like an old man or even like animal urine or feces, but that goes to show just how uncultured these types of guys are. They most likely are going to grab Sauvage or some other mainstream blue fragrance that smells like shower gel or the highschool locker room. BORING!!!! The same type of guys are drinking beer and whiskey while the sexy, suave ones are drinking Champagne cocktails and Sidecars made with the best French Cognac. Smelling a wiff of Interlude Man, Tobacco Oud, or Red Tobacco on the right guy with the right look is like dying and going to heaven for me. I wish more women would want that for themselves instead of the douchey gym bro reaking of Sauvage while getting drunk in a trashy local bar in any town USA covered in trashy tattoos and piercings and listening to the latest mumble rap while contemplating on how much money they are going to have to spend to get some random chick drunk enough to go home with them.

    • @winnienguyen4420
      @winnienguyen4420 Год назад +2

      The problem is that liquorice note. It's sickeningly sweet and ruins the whole fragrance for me. Elixir is basically a sweetened up version of Drakkar Noir and Drakkar smells fine the way it is. Adding BR540 style cotton candy sweetness to that fragrance profile just doesn't work. Ends up being a cloying mess with anything more than one spray and god forbid someone wear it out in the heat. I would gag.

    Sauvage Elixir smells like a cross between Drakkar Noir and BR540 or possibly even Initio Oud for Greatness. The latter two in my opinion being a bit too sweet and cotton candy like on a man.Drakkar Noir is in my opinion actually an attractive Scent for a man despite it's age. It's still appealing to this day. BR540 on the other hand is gorgeous on a woman, but on a man is far too sweet and just a turn off at least to me. Oud for Greatness is actually pretty good on a guy if applied very very lightly. But it's typically over applied and takes on that same cotton candy sweetness as BR540, likely from the heavy saffron note. I guess I'm old fashioned but ive just never liked sweet fragrances on a guy. One Million and JPG Ultra Male for example are actually fragrances that i own and wear but forbid my husband to. Aventus, Hacivat, Cedrat Boise are my typical favorite male scents. I also love Armaf CDNIM and the rest of the high quality Aventus or Hacivat clones on a man. More devisive and polarizing middle eastern style fragrances like Chanel Egoiste, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, Mancera Red Tobacco, or even the dreaded Amouage Interlude Man can actually be ridiculously attractive and a huge turn on on an handsome, refined, cultured type of gentleman in a tailored Italian suit, sporting a Rolex, and driving a Lamborghini down the beach at night on their way to take their date out to an uber romantic and insanely expensive restaurant in Malibu. In that scenario those typically polarizing middle eastern fragrances that most basic bros or gym douches would say smell like an old man or like animal poop or whatever other nonsense terms they use are actually even sexier than your typical mainstream lady killer ( or what the bros assume are lady killer) type fragrances like Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, YSL Y EDP, or Versace Dylan Blue. Mainly because they smell exotic, expensive, and mysterious as opposed to shower gel or highschool locker rooms like the others. In a nutshell a woman isn't going to remember you when you smell like every other basic dude from 18-30, but when you think outside the box and experiment with something more intriguing, more expensive, better quality and very uncommon if not downright unknown to most people your age while also of course looking and acting the part of a suave, jet set, male model or something else interesting then the lady will likely remember you for the rest of her life. Don't believe me? Just try it for yourself and see how much more attractive you will be to women and also those women you attract will be the classy types, not your basic plain or downright trashy looking girls with tacky rainbow colored hair, peircings all over their face and tattoos from head to tow. Think Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly not Cardi B or Billy Eilish.

      @winnienguyen4420 Год назад +2

      Yeah it smells like Drakkar Noir but with a bunch of sweet notes added to it like liquorice, cinnamon, and some other Christmas time type spices I can't remember off the top of my head. But in my opinion Drakkar Noir smells fine as is, not with added sweetness. Elixir ends up smelling almost like an Indian curry of some type and while that smell is appealing for eating it certainly isn't sexy or romantic in any sense. Not to mention elixir is possibly the most powerful fragrance on the market save for maybe a few middle eastern style Oud tobacco, or incense based Oriental fragrances from Amouage like Interlude Man 45 or Reflection 45, TF Tobacco Vanille or Tobacco Oud, Mancera Red Tobacco, and Initio's atomic bomb of a fragrance Oud for Greatness. Any one of which I actually find more tolerable than Elixir by a long shot. Those fragrances will last months in your closet after just a couple of sprays on a jacket. Honestly just wear Drakkar Noir layered with some regular Sauvage EDT, EDP, or Parfum if you want a more pleasant smelling and non sickly sweet version of Dior Sauvage Elixir that will be far more mass appealing. Or go for Spice bomb extreme which basically has a similar vibe to Elixir with all the Christmas spices and what not, only it actually smells divine and not overly sweet whatsoever. That fragrance is the epitome of a spicy fragrance done right, mainly because the gorgeous tobacco note is the anchor as opposed to liquorice like Elixir. But then again I've never found any fragrance with a heavy liquorice note in it attractive.

    Just got the Allure Homme sport eau extreme 2 weeks ago after trying like 10 other fragrances inna douglas, the prada l'homme and the allure homme sport were my favorites of all i tried immediately bought it. The only thing is the durability, for me its like 4, 5 hours, 6 hours maybe if i overspray. The prada l'homme and the armani SWY absolutely are on the way to me rn 🙏 pasha de cartier was also insanely good i think it was the darker version the parfum..

    You said Ombre Leather is a 9/10 and gave your reason why, but what's your example of a 10/10 leather fragrance? I'm curious because I have Ombre Leather as a 10/10 fragrance just like RR - so I wanna know what would outdo it. Also, I'm a fan and already subbed to RR - I also enjoy his style and believe he is underrated as well. It seems we all tend to agree on the same things especially going for EDP versions on most of the lines. Le Male Le Parfum is also a 10/10 for me as well

    I really cannot stand Dior Homme Intense... it's way too feminine for me. I think it smells ok, but I cant shake the feminine part of it, that it has nothing masculine about it. Valentino Uomo Intense is something I can jive with real easy, and I do not put them in the same category at all. Uomo Intense has a more masculine smell to it in my opinion.
    Dior Homme Parfum on the other hand... 10 out of 10... hands down. That is perfection in my book.
    The list is pretty solid, but I'd put Givenchy Gentlemen Reserve Privee on that list, total banger.

    I personally find his reviews to be cringey hyperbole. Also he literally says every complete sentence with an icky annoying crescendo and decrescendo. His delivery style sounds more like pitch than an honest review. However I will give him credit for having great taste in fragrances. Still a pass for me.

    • @winnienguyen4420
      @winnienguyen4420 Год назад +2

      I agree it has a rough opening but once you get past that it's a pretty damn sexy fragrance on the right guy and fat more appealing than Elixir by far. Red Tobacco to me is like a more mass appealing version of TF Tobacco Oud which I also actually liked on the right man dressed for the occasion. On the other hand Elixir's liquorice note makes me nauseous. It's just a sweetened up Drakkar Noir and Drakkar Noir was not meant to be sweet in the first place. You are better off just layering a basic Sauvage EDT EDP or Parfum with some Drakkar Noir and will get a non sweet version of elixir that doesn't turn the stomach. I blame the decision to make Elixir overly sweet on the popularity of BR540 which honestly isn't attractive on a man at all to me, but on a woman it's heavenly.

    I think vloggers should stop "reaction" videos wether it's positive or negative and just do their own thing. Fragrances and scents are after all very subjective. Reaction videos is just lazy content creating in my opinion and usually used to either piggy back on other people's ideas (usually a competitor) and/or to criticize them either subtly or directly.
