It’s a nice scent a different version of Dior homme intense but Dior parfum was a masterpiece so for me it’s such a bad decision to replace it !it should be a flanker
Homme and Intense are 🔥 However, I'm not a huge fan of the original Parfum, although I have it in my collection. I think the original Parfum is an example of herd mentality.
Glad i picked up DHP og in Oct. As my collection has DHP, DHI, Prada LHI and LR Black i struggle to see why i would get DHP 2025. It has given me some layering ideas though
DHI has more of a chocolaty iris and Prada L.I. is sweeter. So Prada in the day, while in air conditioning 😅 and DHI at night, while in air conditioning 😂 @rottenrebels
@@rottenrebels at the moment top spot Prada LHI for wearability and versatility. I have DHP and DHI set aside for special occasions (plus I have too many scents - current DHP and few others are still in the wrapping for example) and Prada LR Black for evenings. Hope to to wear these more often but to counter that if they get discontinued or reformulated I will try to eke out as much as I can out of my bottles.
I really wanted to like DHI,DHP & DHO and I own them all. Unfortunately they do nothing for me and I prefer DH2020. Looking forward to this release and ready to embrace the new.
I'm just glad I have two bottes of DHP. Even though I have a relatively small collection compared to many fragheads, I have more than enough to confidently say those two bottles of DHP will last me my lifetime. For DHP 2025, they took out the things that made DHP awesome. It smells ok, but I'd say it's more of a reinterpretation of DHI than DHP.
Had the chance to test it. Its better than good. Very different than the OG. More versatile, more wearable but should have not replaced the OG. The only thing that stops me from buying it is the price. The price is too high for what it is. Can get similar scent profile for less money and more ml. I think they'll release the OG in a form of DHP elixir
I smelt this today and wow it’s a masterpiece I’m normally a traditional OG over new type of guy but this is my favourite by far from the homme line wow 11/10 for me longevity good projection good I’d get the first week batch before they release it slightly different like they did with sauvage elixir
Thanks for the review Rebel! What I've heard from some of the other reviewers has been that they feel the OG parfum was borderline niche and artistic, but FK took to be more on the designer realm. That touch of artistic, and unique value has left. What do you think?
I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Dior Homme Parfum. I do own it but it reminds me of furniture shops i used to visit. So i am curious to try this one
I never got the chance to smell the og, here in the states they don’t sell these anywhere, so when they had this at the store I was excited, it smells so good I might pick it up
I was immediately drawn by your title because so far the channels I've watched on this have been panning the new version. Haven't watched yours yet, I wonder whether you'll agree....
Perhaps Dior intends on releasing an Homme Elixir, which will be the equivalent of the OG Parfum. Which will make the current 2025 Parfum similar to Sauvage Parfum but doing so in the Homme line.
I ordered one of the last bottles of the original parfum (or it's latest version not 2025 so I guess closest to the original i have never smelled any of thr dior homme) and I have free sample of the 2025 coming from dior. I'll have to give my answer when I get them
Well... let's put it this way: based on my first impression of the OG DHP...I didn't know what I was smelling anymore, this stuff was magical, I wish they still had it for sale and I'm really sorry now that I didn't buy a backup bottle - now it's ridiculously expensive. I suspect that 50 ml will last me a lifetime anyway, I rarely find and occasion to wear it and when I do I find that 1 spray is enough, 2 sprays if I'm somewhere outside. The new DHP was most likely created for wearability because I haven't smelled the OG DHP on anyone so far, all the people I've met don't even know this stuff exists, to them all Dior Homme's are the same.
For me it is a very good perfume and I find it very much in the style of Code Parfum. DHI is great to me, but the new is more versatile and for the mass appeal and younger people. My teenage children liked it much more the DHI and the classic DHP.
I'm certainly glad I picked up a bottle of OG DHP before the prices went through the roof. I can understand why they might want to go in a different direction as the current market seems to prefer sweeter, more mass appealing fragrances, and let's be honest, the average Joe will only ever need one bottle of OG DHP as it's definitely not a daily wear, so most people who already bought it will never buy it again, but if they can tap into the younger market then there's a whole lot more customers. They already took the Homme line in a different direction with the EDT and the Sport flanker before Demachy left, and then there was the whole Sauvage Eau Forte thing, so this shift isn't particularly surprising. I'll probably still pick up a bottle, as will a lot of collectors, so I don't see Dior suffering much from this.
I wish they would remake the DHI 2011-2012 version!!! It’s a masterpiece and it’s my husband’s signature accent and his bottle of DHI 2012 is almost gone and it’s super sad this isn’t a close version 😢
There is something quite confusing about the scent. There’s an element to it that is not listed, but it almost seems to have a Sauvage type element to it. I can’t quite figure this out. Definitely I like it less than the prior version and I like it less than the intense flanker and the Homme Original flanker. Why I am reminded of Sauvage is a mystery.
@@rottenrebelsmuch prefer the OG Parfum. But if I wasnt 40 and was a young person getting into fragrances I’d pick the 2025. That’s Diors angle, they’re grabbing the younger generations to add another customer base.
That would be absolutely wicked. Should never have been discontinued. It's powdery side gotta be kept intact for it to be Homme Eau though.. Can't have that part of it removed 😊
Not gonna lie, I'm super disappointed that they discontinued the OG... I'll try the new one, but from what I'm getting from reviews is that it has pieces of other frags currently on the market... Which would make this not very original, which is what Dior is known for. I've got two bottles of the OG, so I'm ok, but what a letdown.
Two questions: 1. How does this compare with “dior homme original”? (Pre 2018) 2. How would you qualify the 2025 parfum version if it had a different name for than parfum 2025. What i mean is if you could not compare it and saw it as a standallone version?
They for sure reduced the amount of glass used on the bottle 😂 Which is a shame, they are counting pennies here and the Homme line has always been a luxury item to me. They are dissolving what they've built through the decades. That's what worries me.
Shrinkflation 😆 I could be wrong but I think it's the first fragrance in the Dior Homme line that does not have a 100ml. Instead a 75ml that's more expensive than 100mls.
@@rottenrebels Exactly! and for a juice thats less concentrated than the Intense, which is an EDP. Gotta keep a keen eye in Dior to snatch backup DHI at any moment they announce FK to "reimagine" that flanker too. Goodbye Dior Homme
I have a 10 ml miniature from 1993 and two partial 100 ml bottles from 2007 and 2022. On my skin, the 2007 batch smells 60% like the 93 vintage, the base is completely different, not many flowers but a lot of leather. Most of the time it smells like dark leather shoes/car upholstery. The 2022 batch is definitely closer to the 93 version, you can feel the flowers, but the composition veers too much towards woody-amber. However, I had the opportunity to test batches from 2023-2024 in a drugstore and to me they smelled 90% like the 93 vintage. So I don't know why FK would create a new version of Fahrenheit when for the last 2 years they have been trying to recreate the original formula as much as possible with today's ingredients and it turned out quite well.
Some of my summer favorites: ruclips.net/video/hcSWU0LcOCI/видео.html 😊 Can't remember if I included performance ratings of each fragrance in that video though.
