@ Yeah you do have a point there. But I can see this selling for 150 for 100 ml and 120 for 50ml. Personally that’s still too much for me for a designer so I will test it and if I like it I’ll wait for Black Friday and use my coupons.
Honestly, that's why I stopped caring about perfumes much. I have money, but they keep rising prices without offering something qualitatively (is it even a word?) new. I feel like large companies just try to milk their customers with more ads, more hype around, but they do not offer some really new products. At this point it almost feels like a sort of scam
Cheaper ingredients at a higher price. Looking forward to the new Dior Homme Elixir that smells exactly like the original Parfum version but $100 more.
I doubt that the Elixir will smell anything like OG DHP. More likely it will smell like a different take on this new DHP, or a different take on DH 2020. The best bet for OG DHP surviving is if it gets moved to the Privee line
I got a few samples of this today and I absolutely love it. With that being said, I've never smelled the original Dior Homme Parfum, so I have nothing to reference from. But in a vacuum, without the context of the reformulation, I actually love this scent.

The parfum 2025 is more a parfum version of Dior homme intense. My thought is that they are going to release a Dior Homme Elixir that would be an Elixir of the 2020 Dior Homme Parfum. Thanks for your videos!
In other words, this was made to be marketed towards North America. Wouldn’t surprise me if the original remains as a separate release exclusive to Europe.
Not if the EU gets the new 2025 version. I highly doubt they will keep both parfums, they may hash the og and replace it with the new one. Who knows. Either way DHP is hard to get and prices are going up:
I finally got DHP this year, been putting it off because I'm not a fan of iris but MANNNNN, that dry down is a Masterpiece and i was very surprised at how long it lasts. I still smell it on my skin the next day 💯
Same. I don't like Iris. Either gets too baby powdery or goes foul on my skin. The new DHP I absolutely love. Very happy the Iris disappears rather quickly, and the drydown is lovely
This will be a banger. I bet Ash, in three months, will make another video where he is in true love with the new Dior Homme, like he did with Dior Homme 2020. Will I buy it ? Ha, I have already ordered without any hesitation. P.S. The OG Dior Homme doesn't impress me anymore. I need to build new memories and new emotions, and hopefully, this one will be the one.
Just got myself the crème de la crème of Dior Homme Parfum 2025 today. The smell is high quality, fabulous, warm amber and seductive iris. Great longevity. Worth every penny. I also got the DHI, smells bit different from the Parfum but I like both.
I’ve never smelt the old Dior Homme Parfum as it was never available in Australia. I was at Changi Airport in Singapore recently and bought the 2025 Parfum 75ml for $190. Gotta say I’m super happy with my purchase, especially since as far as I know, the new Parfum won’t be available in Australia just like the old one! Homme Intense still holds the crown as my favourite Dior fragrance
I always appreciate when they can make a smaller bottle, it's so much easier to carry especially if you are travelling via plane and you have to pack everything in that tiny plastic bag
Alright I am on the minority on this, but so many influencers are complaining about this frag and the new iteration of dior homme Parfum 2025. IMO this frag is fantastic! Yes everyone says how the OG was a masterpiece and I am sure it is, but how often can you wear it? The new formulation is a great everyday wear. I really enjoy it. I am going on the side of this that this frag will grow on people and will be one of the best sellers this year. So from a business side Dior made a decision and don’t blame the perfumer. I think in the industry if it is not niche, then sources and materials become a big factor in these decisions and honestly they made a wonderful frag that can be worn everyday. I really enjoy the 2025 iteration and I would recommend everyone to try wearing it for a week straight. This one grows on you and it will be a very popular fragrance by the end of the year.
I think it’s phenomenal to be honest . IMO it smells like a hybrid of original Dior homme/intense with Armani code and Prada L’homme. It lasts forever on my skin. The vintage parfum was too powdery and feminine on my skin but I can understand why people love it. It’s unique.
The Dior Homme line and the designer men’s fragrance arena in general have come full circle. Dior Homme EDT started the designer men’s iris craze in 2005, and for years other designers have been inspired by that work of art and have decided to incorporate iris into their own creations. Arguably, Dior always did it best though. Now in 2025, we have Dior being inspired by things that were inspired by their own fragrance from 2005….. Dior went from being the trendsetter of the industry to being a brand that is trying to catch up with trends that others have set. It’s very sad to see. 20 years can change so many things

Because nobody but the tiny minority of enthusiasts buys that stuff and they are a for profit business. Masses probably would rather buy the new stuff.

Picked up a bottle of the OG last week just incase the new release was a flop and the OG became the next unobtainable holy grail and I'm glad I did. I still want to try out this new version, but my expectations have been considerably lowered.
I got this yesterday, and to me the opening iris is very in-line with the Dior Homme Iris that they all have, and is SSSSSTRONG.. So strong that it surprised me that it wore off. Not sure how they made that note fade so much after about 3 hours, but it did (I didn’t believe the folks saying that but was wrong). One thing that I would say is that at least it evolves and isn’t linear like the others are for the most part. However, I don’t need that many strong iris frags and am happy with only one or two, and this new one, while not bad, didn’t wow me. So I’ll be letting it go soon. Great review btw. Also I’m one who loved DH 2020 right away, and get why (like you said) it was hated by DH lovers at first, but man it’s a great frag that I’ll always have.
I just ordered two but I feel sad that it will eventually be gone. I really loved it and I hope they keep it in the Middle East as it’s everywhere since it came out.

I think this iteration is meant to be a more modern take on the previous Dior Homme line but still paying homage to what the line used to be- a best of both worlds. I’ll have to try it for myself when it hits retail stores, but I’m actually quite excited. Actually, I’m even more excited to try it now after hearing this review.
I'm getting my bottle today. It seems like Dior is trying to make DHP 2025 less special, but more versatile and wearable day to day. Kind of like the transition from the original Dior Homme to Dior Homme 2020.
it is funny because I love and got to own all these Iris frangances you mentioned: JPG Le parfum, Givenchy EDT Intense, Prada L'homme, Aramani le parfum not as yet but it is in my radar, and find Dior Parfum that it smells like an old rich lady to me, so if this new version tends towards these other iris perfumes, I might be one of the guys who actually like more the new version, and I bet there are many others like me, and that might be the reason why Dior has made this change. But still if this change is pursuing to be more appealing for the great public but the price is too high, it might just be a bad move since there are already all this other options that are cheaper, we´ll see.
Hopefully we’ll still be able to get regular DHP for a while because that’s one of my favorites and it’s pretty expensive… I’m going to have to get another bottle right away though because I don’t trust
Gewinnmaximierung, Kundenverarsche...
Dior will probably sell more bottles with 2025, but the original wasn't meant for all seasons. It, for most people, is the ultimate suit and tie fragrance. Perhaps Dior sees how many niche houses there currently are and decided that they don't need to target that market anymore. Perhaps a creative director from a house like Michael Malul, for instance, could work with perfumers to come up with the next ultimate iris fragrance 😉😉😉
I think they figured out through market research that "iris" is in at the moment and sells well, so they created a flanker on the back of such data to increase profits
Kurkdjian ruined a masterpiece 🏆 that's all he wants to do at Dior 😠 who's next? Fahrenheit Original? Dior Homme Parfum original was a true masterpiece 🏆 great review Ash 👍 and happy new year compadre 🎉😊
I got some bottles over 20 years old and still smell fantastic. Best to keep the temps they’re stored at mostly consistent. Don’t store in the bathroom or in direct sunlight. They’ll last for quite a while. . Years and years past any expiration date.
The original fragrance is already hard to get even in Europe. You can only get it online or in Europe and even in Europe they only sell it at the Dior store. I literally got the fragrance at the Dior store at the airport in France coming back home. I was in Europe for a month hunting this fragrance down and almost missed out until the last moment. I’m definitely keeping it for special occasions now since we probably getting a reformation and a discontinued original parfum.
I give it a sniff but I was immediately thinking 🤔 when news got out about DHP replacement ... Hold on let me get back up bottle asap just in case ..😎 And looks like I was wise guy for change ❤
Sad, an other Kurkdjan miss. What is he doing with Dior? Trying to get fired? Maybe Domenique Ropion could be a better head perfumer. I think he matches the Demachy style more. Strong, daring and character. Well, we will see. All the best wishes for 2025!
me when I put off buying it for like 3 months when it's readily available near me just to now have it taken away and only availability is people already reselling it for like triple :(
Middle east fragrances are getting stronger better scents than designers also better presentation better longevity and cheaper. Wait until the day lattafa brings out a powdery iris fragrance that lasts as long with the same projection as khamrah.
For $180, when you figure how many quality clones I could buy, it should be no surprise that I'll be leaving the new Dior on the shelf for the people who just have to have it at any cost. I've owned the original Dior Homme for ages, and it suits me just fine.
@Gents Scents Love your content and absolutely LOVE the 2014 Dior Homme Parfum. For me it’s MORE than a signature sent, it is like a part of myself… that has been destroyed! Well lookyloo!!! Thanks Ash for the valuable info on all things parfum. Mais oui!
Happy New Year ❤❤❤❤❤
I think this iteration is meant to be a more modern take on the previous Dior Homme line but still paying homage to what the line used to be- a best of both worlds.
They’re just trying to increase profits. Sadly, more sales (and more $$$) if you water things down and move towards the mainstream segment.
it is funny because I love and got to own all these Iris frangances you mentioned: JPG Le parfum, Givenchy EDT Intense, Prada L'homme, Aramani le parfum not as yet but it is in my radar, and find Dior Parfum that it smells like an old rich lady to me, so if this new version tends towards these other iris perfumes, I might be one of the guys who actually like more the new version, and I bet there are many others like me, and that might be the reason why Dior has made this change. But still if this change is pursuing to be more appealing for the great public but the price is too high, it might just be a bad move since there are already all this other options that are cheaper, we´ll see.
With the new DHP it leaves the question where DHI has its place? If the new version is fresher and sweeter it kinda makes DHI unnecesary.
To me it leans a lot towards Stronger With You in the dry down.
Hopefully we’ll still be able to get regular DHP for a while because that’s one of my favorites and it’s pretty expensive… I’m going to have to get another bottle right away though because I don’t trust
I like your video ❤
Dior sees Sauvage level sales as success and DHP level sales as failure. Simple as. They want money not fraghead approval.
When is the full review!?
Awesome fragrance
Kurkdjian ruined a masterpiece 🏆 that's all he wants to do at Dior 😠 who's next? Fahrenheit Original? Dior Homme Parfum original was a true masterpiece 🏆 great review Ash 👍 and happy new year compadre 🎉😊
For all those Buying the old Bottles... Doesnt all perfumes have expire date ? And if not ... doesnt the smell change after years and years ?
Also look at all the bottles these youtubers collect ... they'll never get a chance to wear them !!!
He's doing exactly what Dior/LVMH are asking him to do.
Regarding examples of MFK fragrances...Grand Soir as well...IMO, his best.
I'd like to see a comparison between this and the 100ml (last iteration)
Is the Fahrenheit line in danger to ve touched?
me when I put off buying it for like 3 months when it's readily available near me just to now have it taken away and only availability is people already reselling it for like triple :(
Am in the same boat
KURDJIAN nailed one of the most iconic fragrances...
Middle east fragrances are getting stronger better scents than designers also better presentation better longevity and cheaper.
Wait until the day lattafa brings out a powdery iris fragrance that lasts as long with the same projection as khamrah.
You are the best reviewer on social media love your reviews
He really is. He covers almost everything and he's very clear and straightforward with his reviews
AK puts on a clinic on how personal preferences impacts fragrance selection. Well done, thanks.
I was wearing this one, and someone said I smell like Axe Dark temptation. That's all I smell now because they were right. It's not terrible, though.
... THIS is the one I was waiting for 😏
Looking forward
Nice video
Everyone..have a wonderful day..blessings and much love to you all ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
For $180, when you figure how many quality clones I could buy, it should be no surprise that I'll be leaving the new Dior on the shelf for the people who just have to have it at any cost. I've owned the original Dior Homme for ages, and it suits me just fine.
@Gents Scents
Love your content and absolutely LOVE the 2014 Dior Homme Parfum. For me it’s MORE than a signature sent, it is like a part of myself… that has been destroyed!
Do you have any recommendations, any other perfumes, any clones, anything at all, that is identical to the 2014-2019 Dior Homme Parfum?
Thank you! 🙏
Boadicea The Victorious Harmonious.
It’s pricey tho…but considering the jacked up price of original DHP now, it’s the best option available.
@ TYSM, will be looking into it!
Why touch DHP? WHY?!!!
It was a MASTERPIECE! It didnt need to be changed :(
Not so sure so far if Mr Kurkidjian was the best choice for Dior but time will tell
Where can I get Dior Homme Parfum old version?????? Please, someone??.. Thanks in advance.
I should have pulled the plug few days ago but I ended up leaving it today I went back and it's no longer listed on dior website and others esp on ebay are selling it for £500+ so I brought a 9ml decant for £26 instead 😕 I thought even that might be unavailable soon. Hopefully Il only use it on special occasions
It’s straight fire
It’s only the first week of Jan and even though my local Dior store doesn’t have the new 2025 version until mid Feb, the ‘old’ Parfum is no longer being sold.
Not sure where to pick up the OG now?
Ash be the first to introduce Just cavalli wild heart for him, it launched in November 2024
Crazy prices 😮
In South Africa Dior Homme Parfum sold out everywhere in about 5 days as of the first influencer video I found online. Crazy. Just gone. Nowhere it’s in stock.
I wonder if they're gonna come out with a Dior Homie Elixir.....
Do a review on Zimaya Itqan Noir it's supposed to be a spot on clone of YSL Myslf.
I think theyll make a Dior Homme Elixir which will be more like the OG parfum
And paying more for it.
Same concentration of the OG DHP, less juice, more money.
Very LVMH
