I have both 2014 and 2020 and I can assure you that there are no differences. The formulation codes on both boxes are the same. The 2020 bottles do need three to six months after first use to maturate, and then the juice smells exactly the same as the 2014. Too many reviewers did an unboxing of their new 2020 bottle and immediately concluded it was weaker than before based on their first sprays. Big mistake. The 2020 version is a packaging and bottle update only.
They are not, OG version is denser richer more oud and leather, while 2020 a bit lighter more rosey. As one should know when it comes to Dior formula number is no gurantee of exact same smelling fragrance among different batches. They always changing something in almost every of thier scents without informing anyone.
See it all the time. Reviewers take a brand new bottle out of the box, spray it on, and then judge it. Some of my worst smelling frags out of the box have turned into my absolute favorite after several months.
Eau Forte is not bad, it’s just water based. It smells great. Dior parfum 2024 is a legitimately great fragrance. It doesn’t smell like the old one, it was never intended to. Doesn’t even have the old packaging. Fragrance snobs like you are annoying.

I actually really like this as a stand alone fragrance, i bought this on release and won’t be selling it on, I just think it doesn’t belong in a Dior homme parfum bottle , they could’ve released this as a different fragrance and kept the awesome Dior homme parfum as it was, luckily I still have my bottle of the old version 😊, love the content 🔥
I think this is what happens when you put profit above creativity and art, perfumery contributes to culture and reflects the preferences of society, some people doesn't care about what they consume as long as it's new, never mind the quality or how creative it is, just give me something new. You can even see how they reduce the amount of glass of the bottle, the bottom is thinner, the perception of quality is lower, they tried to hide it with the gradient and the shinny plaque, the color of the fragrance... It's a sad moment not just for perfume enthusiasts but for society in general. I hope as you said they keep the original formula or at least release the OG as an Elixir.. at double the price! 😆Thanks for the video Chris!!!
How can people like the old parfum ? It's smells like an old grandmother with her rutten leather bag. The other Dior homme with iris are 10/10 tho. Really like this new parfum too.
Thanks for the truth and an honest upfront review and recognising how this can be a problem for people who love previous dhps I have a deep emotional connection to this fragrance i wore it when I had to put my king Charles to sleep i used to spray his jumper and jacket with dhp i know it sounds crazy but that was a big part of our connection. I'm absolutely gutted, and to make matters worse, all stock has literally disappeared. Dior has a problem here !
One thing baffles me here. Why would they target basically the same audience that gobbles up their Sauvage line? Sauvage brings in so much money that they could use all other lines to just experiment with the craziest scents ever, and yet they did what they did. I guess there's never enough money.

Great review! I finally got a bottle of the 2020 parfum and immediately fell in love, so was very excited when I heard Dior was finally bringing the parfum version to the U.S. market. Especially since the promo material described it as a very iris-forward, which is one of my favorite notes. Your review reinforces what everyone else is saying about the new release. Sounds like the iris is bright, sweet and fleeting. Nothing like the dense, powdery and waxy iris that Demarchy created, much less the incredible notes of rose, oud and leather. This new fragrance sounds like it will be a hit for the Macys and T.J. Max crowd, but probably not for Dior fans. Sad...
I didn't fall in love with Dior Homme Intense so i didn't believe the hype with Dior homme parfum. I did bought it though because i saw a good deal but for me it's a like not a love. So i'm still interested in smelling this though i don't have my hopes up
Shame, i smelt the original in a an airport years ago and intended to pick it up, sadly having quite a large collection i just never really got round to it. I did look on the dior website recently for it and now i know why it wasnt available! Always interesting to hear your thoughts Chris 👍🏼

I just got a mini of this a few days ago, so I've spent a bit of time with it. It smells good, but that's about it. The iris reminds me of the one Prada uses in their L'Homme line, but still not quite as nice. I agree, it should have been a standalone fragrance, or given another flanker name (e.g. Dior Homme Frais or Dior Homme du Jour). It just doesn't do justice to the name Dior Homme Parfum.
Hard for me to believe Francis K goes back to back with two really lack luster releases...and both of them in such established lines at CD....especially in regards to Homme. Drastic changes to the brief has to be constraining him. It's not like he doesn't know how to build elite level frags. I've been wearing it the last 2 days as well. I don’t think there is any comparison Dior Homme 2014 75 ml was a fantastic fragrance the later 2020+ 100ml not so good as I have both but this 2025 is not in that league by any means and calling it a perfume is a bit controversial in my opinion more of an EDT not my idea of a next step forward

If this was a new IP. Dior Delicious Pour Homme I think people would dig it. It’s not groundbreaking but it’s nice. It’s very well blended. It performs well. Really nice release. But not under the circumstances it came out with.
This should have been it's own thing, and not tied to the Homme Parfum... It's too polarizing because of the fans of the OG. I understand the OG probably wasn't a huge seller, or they could have had issues sourcing raw materials... But, they set themselves up for a massive letdown by the community. It also smells like many other things, which to me makes it "Not Original " which Dior is known for. I picked up a backup bottle, but it's hugely disappointing.
If it ends up selling better than the OG, that just goes to show where mainstream society is at. 😂 Don't forget that the brand is under orders though. If you spray a blotter with this, another with Phantom Parfum, another with Million Parfum, another with Le Male le parfum, another with Boss magnetic (you see where I am going with this) and then compare them in an hours time you might have a hard time telling them apart. They all reek of Ethyl Maltol, generic amberwoods, vanilla and coumarin. Its like they all have the same base with different top notes. If you've smelled one, you've pretty much smelled them all. This is for the teenager/tiktok kids with their parents credit card who want to see a titty for the first time after watching a top 10 date night fragrances video. Its just cookie cutter same samey bull. Hope they bring out an original version, or even just introduce it to collections Privee. Im not even a super fan of the old DHP, but I really dislike the sugary sweet mainstream fragrances.
I never tried the 2014 or the 2020 so I can't speak on those. I can say this one is pleasant. I despise the opening 5 minutes though. After that it's very nice. Great performance. It doesn't really develop much like you said, but it's a very pleasant scent. I feel like people are just butthurt because they need to complain about something 😂
I don't understand why suddenly people started complaining it was just matter of time since the og wasn't selling much anyway , when 2020 version came out we new next one will be watered down never mind completely different profile, should have atleast 5 backup bottles or now pay £400+ and in future it wont be available even on ebay unless someone needs money then I wouldn't be surprised if it's sells for over 1k😂

I bought 45 backup bottles of DHP. I also bought 20 backup bottles of Stetsons cologne just in case MFK tries to reformulate it.

I think FK is screwing Dior, like you also my favourite fragrance house. I’ve collected too many Dior perfumes for years but haven’t bought a single one done by FK. I rather buy things that he created for MFK than what he’s doing to Dior

Agreed. I've worn this two days in a row now. It is a good fragrance. Really good I'd say. A solid 8 or 8.5/10. If people don't want to buy it, then don't buy it. It's not that difficult. Trashing it without even smelling it because "influencers" have their underwear in a twist is sheep mentality.

If you spray a blotter with this, another with Phantom Parfum, another with Million Parfum, another with Le Male le parfum, another with Boss magnetic (you see where I am going with this) and then compare them in an hours time you might have a hard time telling them apart. They all reek of Ethyl Maltol, generic amberwoods, vanilla and coumarin. Its like they all have the same base with different top notes. If you've smelled one, you've pretty much smelled them all. This is for the teenager/tiktok kids with their parents credit card who want to see a titty for the first time after watching a top 10 date night fragrances video. Its just cookie cutter same samey bull. Hope they bring out an original version, or even just introduce it to collections Privee. Im not even a super fan of the old DHP, but I really dislike the sugary sweet mainstream fragrances.

I never tried the 2014 or the 2020 so I can't speak on those. I can say this one is pleasant. I despise the opening 5 minutes though. After that it's very nice. Great performance. It doesn't really develop much like you said, but it's a very pleasant scent.

I don't understand why suddenly people started complaining it was just matter of time since the og wasn't selling much anyway , when 2020 version came out we new next one will be watered down never mind completely different profile, should have atleast 5 backup bottles or now pay £400+ and in future it wont be available even on ebay unless someone needs money then I wouldn't be surprised if it's sells for over 1k😂
