I miss the days of you redesigning cars. Nowadays you're just reading out information about the vehicles from Car and Driver. Your redesigns are what made some of us follow you because you did something no one in the industry did. That's what made you unique. Please go back to what set you apart, because right now you're just doing reviews like everybody else.
I agree, he built his audience on redesigns and now he just does simple content. Instead of talking about new cars he should redesign them and make them better.
The LBX is practically a Lexufied European Yaris Cross. The "RR" moniker is a reference to Rookie Racing, which is Akio Toyoda/Morizo's personal race team that uses Yellow for their team color. Hence all those yellow highlights. Rookie Racing is also a place where Toyota usually put their experiments to the limit by going into racing. The Hydrogen ICE tech, a GR86 with a slightly de-stroked GR Yaris/GR Corolla's engine (1.4L vs 1.6L), and also the new 8-speed Auto Transmission found inside the refreshed GR Yaris & this LBX Concept.
@@seniraranasinghe645 Oh yeah, you're right. It should be the same transmission though. It seems like pretty good odds that they will put it in the Corolla and this Lexus too.
What an uninformed comment. That’s like saying the gr Corolla is just a Corolla w the gr Yaris engine. It’s much more than that, drive one and you’ll understand.

Two cars I could see it being cross-shopped with in the US would be the Volkswagen Golf GTI/R (sporty, semi-premium hatchbacks), Acura Integras, and even the upcoming Volvo EX30 (less overtly sporty, but EV, premium brand, and similarly priced). There aren't as many, but there are a decent number of enthusiasts and urban markets are still interested in buying and do buy smallish, premium, and sporty hatchback/small "crossovers" in the US.
I find the relationship between those two cars is closest to that of the Civic Type R and the Integra Type S This might seem like a stretch but I think the LBX will be cross-shopped with the Integra
For me, the LBX should have been more lower than this elevated hatchback. I like the design overall but on this special edition, I don't like the front corners design theme.
a good design indeed with real sharp angles and violent graphics that makes it nervous and sporty. BUT YOU NOTICED.....all actual designs are nearly the same. this common inspiration sources kills the personnality.
Lexus makes terrific cars, but it’s hard to forget the, “it’s just a Toyota with better seats.” thing when they are making these small, hatchback type cars that just scream Corolla. Mercedes, BMW and Audi all failed with small cheaper cars.

I think it’s because he leaned more into his second channel for that part
You’re on bembli, not sketchmonkey. This channel is more about car talk and car styling discussions, while the main channel focuses on redisigns
@@aeskellionhis last redesign on that channel was 10 months ago. He’s not doing redesigns anymore
@@aeskellion even on that channel. He just doesn't redesign anymore for some reason.

The CT200H is BACK baby !
This thing looks excellent.
It's crazy how opinions are, because I find this looks like hot garbage, especially compared to the GR Corolla.

The hot hatch for that modest gentleman who thinks he will kind of fly under the radar
They're going to offer the GR Corolla as an automatic now too. The Carwow guys reviewed it a few days ago.
GR Yaris , not the corolla
@@seniraranasinghe645 Oh yeah, you're right. It should be the same transmission though. It seems like pretty good odds that they will put it in the Corolla and this Lexus too.
The LBX is more closely related to the Yaris Cross rather than the Corolla
Yeah it’s actually just a Yaris Cross with GR Yaris engine :)
Corolla cross way bigger than Corolla hatchback

it makes my day when u make a new videwo no matter what brrand
I appreciate your efforts in making these videos
Keep it up
Wao, this looks great, hope they build it
Lexus Chorizo
Same tasty sausage, shorter length? 😄
Its worth pointing out that it is a specially developed performance Auto box that acts more like a DCT box.
Love the design, but don't like the polarizing yellow. Should be a delete for that. Automatics are far more efficient than manuals.
I love this Lexus CUV hot hatch thingy, I want this Lexus CUV hot hatch thingy
This is NOT based on the Corolla!!! It's on the GR Yaris platform.

Will you make a video on new GR Yaris interior design? seems to be the biggest talking point of this car right now. Would love to hear your take on it
It looks like a car made for GTA
To me this what a modern RAV4 should be.

It's not going to be in the same market.
I don't think you know.... The Yaris is getting they 8 speed to , so yes the Lexus gets it to 🤣
what do you think about the new jaguar F-TYPE ? dude.
it looks like the same person that designed this designed the Toyota gr yaris. and I'm not complaining tbh
For me, the LBX should have been more lower than this elevated hatchback. I like the design overall but on this special edition, I don't like the front corners design theme.
The only thing that is off for me is the Lexus logo on the hood. It should have been on the grille just like the older lexus.
FYI they are building it. Arrives in early 😊2025.
It looks like a Cupra Born
🤞🏾 In Usa and Canada plz Lexus
This is really giving me GR Corolla vibes especially with its 3 cylinder maybe that’s the audience Lexus IS trying too convey.
The LBX is based on the Yaris Cross. you're wrong its not based on the corolla
Why does it have a CUV stance?
Cuz its a crossover
@@plastiquemaraj8839 didn't realize until later in the video. He also kept comparing it to the Corolla.
@@ghost21501 yeahhh. Doesn’t make really sense
I wonder if Lexus could enter rallying with this car even though Lexus is basically Toyota.

How is it possible to have 18 inch rotors on 19 inch wheels? That has to be a typo
A 911 has 13 inch rotors
probably the 14inch rotors from the GRC
It should be called LBX F
It still looks very Toyota. Lexus is supposed to "look" a little luxurious.

I hate hot hatches, they just look like turds to me. Their drivers are even more annoying than the cars.
First yessir
Damn, they alrwady ruined the Morizo name 😅
Lexus cars have always been ugly and this one continues that trend. Regular Toyotas look better IMHO
BMWs are far, far, uglier.
@@krane15 I agree, but I’d say most modern cars are ugly. Honestly, Chinese and Southeastern variants of many models of cars are much prettier.
