I feel you with the reset of the shiny raikou. Back in October and November where I was hunting all the shiny legendarys that were left in my usum i also reset 3 shiny legendarys: entei, pheromosa and kyurem and also accidentally killed a shiny landorus. Those moments broke me for a moment but i still didnt gave up and reclaimed all of them in the end
That’s some sheer determination, congrats on all the reclaims! In the moment, I bet those must’ve been hard to bounce back from 😭
@@EternalRadiantYeah especially the first Kyurem which took his time. But Entei and Kyurem came really quick after the Reset, Pheromosa took again about as long as the first shiny Pheromosa. But Landorus oh boy that was hard to stay focused, it took about 4 to 5 times longer than the first Shiny. THAT was a real pain but luckily landorus was the last one i was hunting and than it was over.
I managed to soft reset not once, but TWICE on Shiny Type Null.
@@EternalRadiant you should always at least wait 2 - 3 seconds before resetting.
Ive hated reset hunts for so long tbh but this actually makes me wanna do reset hunting for legends again also those are awesome shinies

14:33 I was shiny hunting wooper in shield and just watching youtube in the backround, but at some point I was so focused on the youtube video that i didnt look at the screen. I had my venusaur from the dlc using energy balls to kill the nonshinies and at some point i looked down only to see my venusaur using earth power against a shiny wooper and i was devastated... I still have yet to reclaim my shiny boi so I to feel that pain brother

Hey don't worry, I failed a shiny (full odds) kyogre a few days ago on Ultra Moon, as I don't have a shiny charm yet.
Then I failed shiny Groudon the next day on Ultra Sun, although this time I had shiny charm.
My coping mechanism is gaslighting myself into not believing what happened.
Edit: Both over odds (kyogre was over 7000, Groudon over 2000)

Lately I’ve been on a grind to get all of the Shiny Wormhole Legendary Pokémon. The only ones I have left to get are Zapdos, Moltres, Regice, Regigigas, Cobalion, Virizion, Thundurus, Landorus, Kyurem and Yveltal. Kyurem will be the last one I go for, since I already have one that I hunted for in Omega Ruby
Man I really hope they make a new 3ds because I feel like Nintendo can definitely capitalize on nostalgia and kids who want to play Old 3DS games but I'm glad that you got your last couple Chinese before you know everything shuts down I hope those games served your memory well and I really hope you had fun times I hope anyone who had a 3DS as a kid had excellent time

Reminds me of when i SR'd over a 200 encounter full odds shiny cyndaquil on SoulSilver and still haven't rehunted it after getting to 5000 encounters and not finding it 4 years ago

I’ve that OST from fire emblem haha, I recommend at least attempting the poipole/type null hunt! If you’re consistent with it in the following months, I think you can get both

I feel that pain with Raikou, I experience that 2 years ago with Groudon I accidentally reset it. But I didn't stopped and then I reclaimed it the same day! I almost cried when I reclaimed a full odds that same day! The odds are no joke 1/8192 and I'm happy that's the best experience I've ever had on shiny hunting!

For future hunts you can get Roto Catch from Rot Lotto and it makes them a lot easier to catch

Unironically, i like this method of shiny hunting better than dynamax adventures, even though my favorite shiny (zygarde) comes from DAs.
Being able to shiny hunt legendaries and actually have it affected by charm (unlike the regis in SWSH ;( ) is great.
The shiny nihilego in the anime was named Lily.
I just played through both USUM and started hunting recently. I went for Lugia / Latios at the same time and got both under 300 SR
I really wanted to complete the pokedex of my ultra moon pokemon, but I'm missing a lot of pokemons and I don't have any friends who have pokemon sun/ultra sun to help me

my 3ds just died while replaying some old pokemon games for a full live dex completion. but now i probally wont be able to transfer them anymore as you cant download bank anymore on new consoles....

I went 4x over odds for shiny Mewtwo, I was so in the zone with SR at that point that it just kinda happened when I saw the green tail, like muscle memory involentary type shit I didn't even realise I did it. EVENTUALLY I got it again after another 17,000ish, for a total of 29,000ish SR's. It turned me off SR hunts for a while...
I'm currently hunting Poipole (that i started last year) and still don't got it, hopin i finish all my hunts in USUM before its all over for the 3DS

That’s what I’m starting to think I did with shiny Heatran in BDSP. I’m at like 10,000 resets. And every hunt I’ve done I’ve been way under or just a little above odds. This is my longest one and I’m starting to think I reset over it while falling asleep or something lol.
