- For the holidays I decided to hunt for shiny ice type pokemon in scarlet and violet the indigo disk, BUT I only have 24 hours to do so. How many shinies will we find? How many shinies will we fail? Spoiler alert: more than zero.

I feel the pain of those lapras despawns. When I was shiny hunting dondozo I despawned not one, not two, but three shiny dondozo because of the sliding water physics.
Ouch. I almost flew by a shiny midnight lycanroc in area zero, but I *JUST* caught it in the corner of my screen.
2:32 I love how it starts on a ball directly next to a quick ball, she scrolls the opposite direction of the quick ball, and keeps scrolling until it wraps back around to the quick balls LMAO

@@CallmeBlueGaming The ball itself is cool, but there was a small bit of discourse in the shiny hunting community where people were arguing about if you should use a ball that matches the shiny (so an example would be using a Luxury Ball on shiny Rayquaza because both of them are black with red and yellow) or just whatever ball has the best chance of catching it (so like just using a quick ball on any shiny you see) and Catherine has been on the side of the second option since it started
@@itmightbevid I genuinely once ran away from a shiny in violet because it broke out of a quick ball and then encountered it just to catch it in a quick ball because I thought the quick ball looked cool so idk which side I'm on

For the Shiny Latias maybe name it something like "butterbean" or "pineapple".

You could call the Latios "Jelata", a mix of Jet and Latias, which also is very close to Gelato which mean Ice cream and shiny Latias back side kinda look like 3 ice cream cones, ya know... if you look hard enough :3 and the front side is a long vanilla ice cream

If I ever get a shiny Latias, I’d name it Serenity. Mainly because of the new synchro mechanic, some pokemon like Latias kinda get me into a zen moment when knocking out the pokemon and searching for shinies in the outbreaks.
The Lapras despawning like that, I had that happen once, but it was Iron jugulis already had one but figured ya know maybe gey extras to give to friends. Happy Holidays

I have a little bit of a funny story. I was sitting on top of glaseado mountain (this was before I had the shiny charm) and I looked over at my friends screen to see how his hunt for shiny iron valiant was going, and I looked back at my screen to see a full odds shiny cetoddle staring me in the eyes.

First name that came to mind for your Latias was Mustard. Probably what I’d name her, but I think since she helped so much with being fast and overwhelmingly destructive for raids, Comet is a good second choice

Shiny hunting is all well and good but I'm really excited for mark and size hunting in the DLC; the lock-on upgrade from the photography club makes it super convenient. At this point I'm just holding zl down whenever I'm running from place to place, just in case.
I just wish it had a signifier for shinyness, for those "very noticeable" shinies. Noticing + catching a random shiny Slowpoke is my proudest achievement and it should not be that way.
A name suggestion for your Latias that I came up with is Gabriel (after Angel Gabriel and just very fitting for this time of year (bonus for it being yellow like the star)) but I noticed you also lack a nickname for your Latios so my suggestion for that is also Highwind (after Cid’s airship from ff7 and the name of my shiny Latios)
Literally at this moment in time, I ran into a shiny Delibird. Like, by accident. Didn’t even see it until I ran into it. I love how this is a real possibility in Scarlet/Violet.
I think sunlight would be an amazing name for it as light travels super fast normally

regarding terrain moves: it's hilarious to me that this DLC added the TM for Expanding Force, making it no longer inexplicably a signature move for Armarouge... and then made Rising Voltage inexplicably the signature move of Raging Bolt.

As much as it doesn't make sense story wise I'm very glad you can access the entire terrarium very early into teal mask. I'm still made they made vulpix version exclusive but at least I could get it without playing through the first dlc again. Same with the paradoxs it's nice I can get them without finishing all the teal mask. The usaluna quest is fast anyway
