Great quality video both visually and knowledge. Been looking for this as I need to change my clutch master cylinder but couldn't find a video on it. Thanks for the great content. Keep those Astra K vids coming! 💪🏾
This has to be one of the most amazing repair videos I've ever seen. Your patience is unbelievable. I have simply been trying to lubricate the clutch return spring to stop it creeking and was finally overwhelmed by how inacessable it was and was forced to give up. I guess my neck with recover given time. Did you remove the drivers seat ?
I removed the steering column too, but now the car won't start after removing the steering column after replacing the clutch cylinder, there's no fuel going into engine from the hose that brings fuel into the engine. How can removing the cables around the steering and putting them on affect fuel going into the engine?
I don't know for sure, but i will try hazard a guess. Its possible you triggered some anti-theft features, like a steering lock or an immobiliser or something like that, Which may need to be reset. I dont know if the ignition is tries to work but the engine doesnt turn over because no fuel, or if it just doesnt even try to start, but that might be an area to look into.
@@g_a_bofficial just started this job at work I have a clutch return spring. I’ve removed the pedal and the green clips and was just going to change the spring is that not possible ?

What do you mean you don’t touch the fuel hose the only hose you should be touching is to do with the clutch and brake
How much is it to get this done
Great video, what issues was tue customer having them Making them bring it back under a recall?
Broken spring

Was this done because the clutch pedal spring clip had snapped?
No
Why box was replaced and what faults it was given. Thanks
Fault with the pedal it’s a manufacturer recall for this symptom
Was the fault a broken return spring clip by any chance?
broken clutch spring?
@@g_a_bofficial
Can the clutch master cylinder be replaced without removing all of this hideous crap ?
It can
@g_a_bofficial how do you get it out bro it's stuck in for me.
How did you do it?
@aaronalderson5279 you have to take most of it off and loosen the pedal box. It's not that bad to do really when you get the column out of the way
Yes I just had to do it just loosen the peddle box and pull it back a bit you can reach the cylinder round the side
