Such a great song. Hell, all of Queen’s songs are so good. One of my favorite songs of theirs. Love the energy of this song. Queen is my favorite band, led by the greatest frontman of all time. When you get a chance listen to this song vocals only (acapella), it’s stunning. Actually listen to many of their songs vocals only on You Tube. It will blow you away all over again. Their songs vocals only really showcase Freddie’s unparalleled vocal talent; and Queen’s exquisite and unreal harmonies. Love me some Mr. Fahrenheit ❤️. And Brian May on that guitar though. 🎸
Like another person pointed out, the university of missouri did a study recently to find the worlds happiest song. It turned out to be don't stop me now. I grew up with an older sister playing queen all the time. She took me to see them live when I was 14, they were on "The Works" tour. Still the best live concert I've seen. Ever since no other band or artist have come close for me. Listened through all their albums after that and was stunned at the music. Queen II is still my favourite.
is that true? :D i literally just left a comment saying it was the happiest song ever, but that was my opinion, i had no idea that it was everyone's happiest song! this and Mr Blue Sky by ELO - happiness bursting out all over :)
A similar study was done here in the UK some years back, and found that the song could be potentially dangerous if radio DJs played it at times of heavy traffic, as it was determined that this song actually made drivers drive faster than they would normally. Drivers were unconsciously changing gears and accelerating in time with the beat of the song.
Btw Fred's vocals in this song is out of this dimension. Greatest singer, performer and composer of all time. Brian's guitar solo can make the devil fall in love with music. John's bass can't be heard very clear in this song, but if it wasn't there it wouldn't be as groovy as it is. And Roger's drumming is epic! The best band.
In The History of Music. Incredible, Unstoppable, Fabulous, Unmistakable, Dream makers! Majestic, Regal, Intelligence beyond belief. Eloquence, Articulation, Calming...F---ING PERFECTION.!
The diversity of Queen music is based on their experimentations mixing different genres of music, but also on the fact that they were 4 geniuses with completely different personalities and taste in music. Put everything together and you get a whole variety of unique songs. Not to mention back then you wouldn't find things like an operatic or flamenco section in a rock song. Freddie's duet with the opera singer Montserrat Caballé in the song "Barcelona" (I don't remember if you guys have watched that) was the very first time such a thing happened. This song is like..., I don't know. It's like the perfect song to get you hyped. It's as if Freddie was showing us what partying is all about with a masterpiece. Great reaction, guys, thank you so much!!!
Absolutely agree that you NEED to hear Barcelona [the album as well as the song]. As bonkers as the idea of Freddie singing with an opera star seemed at first when they announced it, this is a brilliant marriage of two great talents. Then after that, there is still so much Queen stuff to react to. I agree with a lot of others who have suggested It's Late, or from the first couple of albums there are still so many gems. Ogre Battle [with Brian's great palindromic guitar riff!] and Fairy Feller's Masterstroke are great choices. Keep reacting! Its great to see you both enjoy the music I love so much, Andy. Im very glad you have Alex along on this journey too! Im a fan! :)
This song never gets old. :) This song along with Bohemian Rhapsody are my mom's two favorite Queen songs and I have so many great memories of us blasting them in the house and singing along. I was probably 5 or 6 when I first heard it. It's just so fun!
being a huge Queen fan for 30 years now (since I was petty much born) the first record I held was my dads copy of bohemian rhapsody he got when it released originally, I've always been memorised by them, I was only super young when Freddie passed away, but one of my fondest memories, is in primary school (little kids school for 4-10/11 yr old's here in the UK) It was fancy dress day, I dressed as Freddie as a 7 yr old kid, neither my mums or dads idea, but mine, apparently I said I loved him and wanted to honour him in school, so I went in, people mocked me for wearing the yellow jacket and a drawn on tash' but I loved every minute of it and "attempted" to sing this song in front of my class, I don't care I got laughed at, I loved every minute :) and since, I've always had a huge passion for Queen and Freddie in particular, there is nothing to compare to in regards to his tone, style, vocal performance and his overall genius lyrically and musically. Fun fact: when he was 7-8 years old he'd he'd pretty much mastered playing piano.. that say's it all :) so to sum it up, I'm just always glad that new generations are discovering Queen's brilliance and that some who haven't really listened to them are delving deeply into the catalogue of bliss that is Queen :)
That is a pure adrenaline shot! I listen to it all the time. Before interviews, conferences, work, going out, etc.... It's a song that makes you feel like you can take on the world!! That's why they call him Mr. Farhenheit, it makes us travel in the speed of light! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️🤴🏻🤴🏻🤴🏻🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🎸🎸👑🌟

Possibly the happiest song ever written. Impossible to listen to and not smile. The lyrics have been embedded in my brain for decades now. Lovely stuff :)
I just love seeing you smile when you hear these for the first time. It's such a simple song in many ways, unbridled joy! But Freddie's vocals definitely do take it to another dimension. He was a truly amazing vocalist. I can't think of anyone who comes close... Robert Plant? It's horrible to compare, but we all do it. I saw Robert Plant live a couple of years ago and I was so, so happy to hear that his voice is every bit as good as it ever was. Powerful, soaring. I never saw Freddie live, and I can only imagine the thrill. I really think his voice must be one of the wonders of nature! And the way he smoked and drank, and still it was there! Even in his very last recordings, only weeks before he died and was so unwell, his voice is still just so powerful. I've been gradually buying the Queen back catalogue (sadly, my entire record collection, yes vinyls, was stolen way back in 1989) and I was listening to Innuendo, and some of the tracks from Made in Heaven. I literally had shivers down my spine. The intensity, the power, the range.
Freddie's voice is definitely one of a kind. Not to knock others voices but as you pointed out, he was just so versatile. He could sing anything and sing it so awesomely!! My husband and I have "discussed" lead singers with him siding with Robert Plant and Roger Daltrey and both are great but stay in their lanes (hard rock). Freddie crossed lanes, danced over the lines and twirled against the traffic!!!😉 🕺
@@anitasmith6042 You might enjoy playing the youtube video for your husband, very brief, of Robert Plant, in 1992 at the Tribute, talking about how some other singers there won't mention it, but they're having to change the key the song is in because they can't "do a Freddie."
If you look closely at Mercury's T-shirt, you can see that it says Mineshaft. It was a popular gay bar in New York that he enjoyed visiting in the late 70s and early 80s.
That's right! My cousin was a NYC police officer and that time and they raided the place. Because of Freddie's fame, they discreetly took him in in her police car rather than a van full of other guys. It was for their own safety because of the AIDS crisis. Unfortunately, at that time, she really didn't know who he was but her partner told Freddie, "Freddie, thank the pretty cop" and he did!
One of my favorites! It has a Broadway feel, Freddie looks so good, as did Brian. “A sex machine, ready to reloaded, like an atom bomb, I’m gonna wow wow wow explode!” I love that line.
This is the Queen song that never fails to make me smile and get me inspired on a less than perfect day. I wear a silver guitar pick stamped with "Don't Stop Me Now" around my neck every day to remind me. Freddie made a supersonic woman of me! LOL
I agree. Seven Seas of Rhye is a great track - and I especially like the live performance of it during the Rainbow concert in '74 - Freddie's really giving it all he's got during that performance.
Great Reaction!!! Always a treat to have Alex along on the Queen journey! Aside. From the science behind "happy music", another fun fact: Top Gear UK audience voted this UK's favorite driving song! Shaun of the Dead scene is MADE by this in soundtrack! Loved it!
Another study--I don't know why they do these things---proclaimed "We Are The Champions" the best sing-along song ever, and broke it down to list all the elements of Freddie's song.
I saw the movie at a second run theater in the afternoon on a weekday so there were maybe 25 of us total in the theater and 95% of us were 60+. This song played during the closing credits and it was fun watching some of my peers dancing up the aisle to this song. :) I was still in my seat watching the credits but bopping around.
This for me is the best song ever. When Freddie died we lost a genius. I never got to see Queen in concert but was lucky enough to see Brian May perform a guitar solo at the end of the "We Will Rock You" stage musical in London.
Oh I forgot to mention... like others have said, guitar is not prominent here, and even though it is great as it is, it has been given a whole new guitar track for the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack, it sounds awesome! look for the "revisited 2018" version. Both you guys will love it.
Freddie Mercury has the voice of a hurricane. There is no song as beautifully sang with the beat so pure and timely and all his words are just are beautifully describes like a rolling machine. Wow!
Freddie is a force of nature, a showman extraordinaire. Queen is a phenomenal band and I was fortunate enough to have seen them live twice in the seventies....
I love how everybody says they love watching you guys loving Queen. Sometimes I miss Freddie SOOO much, tho’, I just have to be alone & cry for awhile. What a force of nature he was. RIP Freddie.
Real Queen classic how have you not heard this one Andy, never mind lol. The live version of this is really great but the studio one your hearing is just as good. Class May riffs. Stay lucky stay safe Mike UK.
@Mike Embleton My parents didn’t show me any queen lol, and they were the only way I would’ve been able to really explore older music, and we’ll have to check out a live performance sometime!
“🎶200 degrees, that’s why they call me Mr. Farenheeeeiiit🎵🎶...” ❤️it!! Thanks, Andy & Alex for adding a smile to my Wednesday and my 44th🎂!! Lol😄 When they performed this in Japan in 1979, Roger kinda helped a lot, seemed like Freddie strained his voice too much from back to back concerts... ruclips.net/video/VCP0wrsWYwg/видео.html Thanks again for reacting to this happy Queen song💕
@@hannyhawkins7804 When you see the evidence of the mutual support society that was Queen, is any wonder they eventually wrote "Friends will be Friends?" What a beautiful thank you note to Friends who put up with and stand by us!
With all the amazing music Queen did this one is at the top of my list.I can't sit still when I'm listening to it. I saw other comments that this was found to be the world's happiest song in a university study. I have to say I'm not surprised. It always lifts me.
I've been a Queen fan since the 70's and have seen them twice in concert (fantastic!!) but I wonder how many more of younger people are now listening to them, due to the popularity of the film?..."Don't stop me now"..was great... I'm so glad you enjoyed this track..
This is one of my "go to" happy songs I blast out in my car on the way home after a heavy day, along with The Show must go on, We will rock you, Fat bottomed girls, Another one bites the dust, I want to break free, Under pressure, oh I could go on and on! Have you reacted to I want it all yet? Love that one! Seven seas of Rhye features Freddie's truly amazing piano skills, his fingers move so fast they literally blur!
You ran out of the theatre to not hear the song! That makes me laugh so much. 🤣Actually, the THREE of them sing so well together. 😜. John didn’t sing, he just mimed it occasionally on videos. But, yes, their vocals are phe-NOM-e-nal!! Just a tight, tight happy-go-lucky song to put you in a great mood. Lovely reaction, as always, guys! Keep it up. Queen Wednesdays are literally one of my highlights for the day each week. 😊❤️
From the beginnings of me listening to the Beatles, to a decade later ( there abouts ) in the 1970's, we had Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple and I could probably go on for an hour....It was just an explosion of all different kinds of music, and video clips on the telly helped a lot too.....Super amazing time...I'm grateful to have grown up with wonderful music..
that song became a HUGE hit in the UK...you need to watch the Bar scene Zombie attack in the Movie (Shaun of the Dead) that song is playing while they are battling Zombies in a UK Pub hysterically funny
Yes, bar scene was great, and they were hitting the zombie with the cue sticks to the beat of the music! ha ha And did you notice the song at the very end of the movie? They snuck that one in there!
@@JohnHazelwood58 I love "How'd that get on there?" "It was on random" As if it's not cool--they wouldn't have played That, and then they are all taken over by the beat of that song--while trying to kill a zombie! or just watching, or flipping the switches!
I LOVE your reaction to this great song! I love that a new generation can appreciate Queen. Anyone who loves music can appreciate Queen's talent. I am an old school R&B fan but I LOVE Queen! Thank you for posting!
Hard to believe that anyone unless they have been locked away in a closet all their life hasn't heard Queen, after all their music is all over the place. Freddie is a true legend. Now that l have said that, WELCOME to the best of the 70's, 80's, 90's through today. Best to listen to Queen live though. Got study them - 4 members, so intelligent, gifted and just fun. ENJOY
Love the expressions on your faces boys, I grew up listening to Queen, so happy the younger generation are still listening !!!!! Keep up the great work. Please listen to Queen singing great pretender, Freddie's vocals ar amazing 😁
Thank you. It was so much fun watching you both hear this for the first time. I believe it has been voted the number one feel good song of all time. The lyrics for this are fab, listen again! I read it was written by Freddie and is all about him enjoying his new life as a gay man. Maybe the Mineshaft t-shirt he was wearing was a hidden message! Thank you for Queen Wednesdays. Please do more! Such fun :-)
Great song and reaction! I first heard this when it came out and I was in mid-school. I heard some critics of the Bohemian Rhapsody movie criticizing the portrayal of John Deacon in a sweater vest, but apparently they weren't familiar with this video, which is what the movie was giving homage to and I immediately picked up.
Some of those critics were a bit insulting to Joe & John. Read one that said the bass player faded into the background & another said he amounted to nothing more than a studio musician. Honestly with John being known for being quiet, we got more out of him than I was expecting. I also noticed, as far as pointing out who wrote what song, they pointed more out for John, than anyone else.
You have to do My Melancholy Blues. Probably my favorite song of Queen and thats saying a lot considering I have 82 of their songs in my playlist. Its Freddie singing jazz. Freddie’s voice is incredible in that song. Its their most underrated and lesser known tracks but its their most beautiful song imo. Trust me, you will absolutely melt.
I love watching all your reactions to Queen, Andy and Alex. I would highly recommend LIVE AT WEMBLEY CONCERT 1986. I love all the songs but my two favorites are in the first eight selections. “Tie your Mother Down” and “Another one bites the Dust”. The music is great and Freddie just looks like he’s having so much fun. It’s great. I bought the DVD and I just watch it all the time.
I'll always love the lyrics. "Burning through the sky. Two hundred degrees, that's why they call me Mr. Fahrenheit" - some people have been calling Freddie Mr. Fahrenheit ever since. When I was younger and I still was going on dates I used to play this song and I want it all to pump me up and get me in a happy mood. Worked every time.
Damn once again my head nodding in tune with the both of you. 🤨🤨🤨😃 love this song . Queen does not miss a beat. Burning through the sky. Supersonic man out of you. Thank you for downloading this. Um back to work... maybe not no one looking. True he does pull you in whether u want too or not. Have a fab day everyone.
Love that you are going through all the Queen songs. This is one of my many favorites. For a live song, I would either suggest Save Me (Montreal) and/or A Kind of Magic (Wembley). Both are fantastic. If you watch Save Me, note that Brian starts off playing the piano with his guitar sstung around his neck, then he and Freddie switch places about 1/3 of the way through the song. A Kind of Magic is one of Freddie's last live performances.
One of their very best!!! Thank you....Also did you note that they told Brian it was going to be a Star Trek song, Roger a colorful birthday gig, Freddie a super cool all leather something scene, and John thought he was going to (what?) tea at an aunt's house???? You just can't get better than this! I agree that Who Wants to Live Forever (one of my favorite lyrics to live by, "this world has only one sweet moment set aside for us") would be good, but it was in the movie....Still pushing for In the Lap of the Gods (Revisited)....you guys are great! Waiting for Wednesday!
You've got to love the diversity! Especially Deaky, he was his own man - not influenced to change from his mild mannered self to fit in with what was expected of a "rocker"!!! 🤣🤵
@@anitasmith6042 The diversity is what makes them so amazing!!! Otherwise there would be no "Spread Your Wings" , "Radio Ga Ga", "Who Wants to Live Forever", or "The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke". I love them all!😊
Anita Smith I think by this stage in their career Queen and their stylists are having a little joke, actually. Each of them is in a an ever so slightly exaggerated version of his own style.

You guys make so happy with your “in awe” gazes, lol I love it!!!🖤🖤🖤
Queen - Spread your wings
I first heard this song whenI was 15! It’s on the album “Jazz”, a very understated Queen record...Listen...
I love watching you two and your reactions to Queens music. Freddie had the best voice ever, and that guitar!!!
He made every song look effortless I’m so glad I grew up with these guys FABULOUS ♥️🇦🇺 All of them are legends everyone of them...
One of my favorites! It has a Broadway feel, Freddie looks so good, as did Brian. “A sex machine, ready to reloaded, like an atom bomb, I’m gonna wow wow wow explode!” I love that line.
"about to woah oh oh oh oh explode!"
"reload". Reloaded doesn't rhyme with whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa explode. ;¬)
@@hellsbells8689 Freddie's naughty lyrics 😂❤
This is the Queen song that never fails to make me smile and get me inspired on a less than perfect day. I wear a silver guitar pick stamped with "Don't Stop Me Now" around my neck every day to remind me. Freddie made a supersonic woman of me! LOL
Seven Seas Of Rhye is a great song! But I would highly recommend listening to the entire Queen II album. Most of the tracks move into each other.
The Black Queen This is always my advice, too, but probably doesn’t work for a YT reactor who is responding to the votes of his audience.
Freddie playing the opening piano is amazing and so fast.
I miss the storyline feature of older rock albums.
I agree. Seven Seas of Rhye is a great track - and I especially like the live performance of it during the Rainbow concert in '74 - Freddie's really giving it all he's got during that performance.
The show must go on. Freddie got out of his sick bed, took a shot of vodka and said, let’s do this. As sick as he was, his vocals are amazing.
He wasn’t sick here
This song never fails to make me happy. Queen... Legends.
I love how they look so intently at the screen, then when the musi kicks in, they smile and Bob their heads...aww,so sweet.
I love the look on your face at the end of the song. So relatable!
@SonshineLady
That’s awesome! Such a feel good song!
I voted Father to Son and it only got 11% of the votes!!! Thats because people don’t know it. It’s a gem, really!!
@Santi Perez Viso
I’ll try to get to all of them eventually! It’s just a matter of, in what order! 😁
@@andyandalex i recommend you go straight to the live version '74 at the Rainbow... watch?v=hdQrButy2go
Father and Son, My Fairy Queen and Jesus - put them all on the list. Three reasons why Queen were amazing, right from the starting blocks.
I've posted that song every Father's Day for years and I doubt if more than 2 friends have ever bothered to listen! It's a gem, for sure.
This for me is the best song ever. When Freddie died we lost a genius. I never got to see Queen in concert but was lucky enough to see Brian May perform a guitar solo at the end of the "We Will Rock You" stage musical in London.
All Time favorite! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Wow!
Please react to Queen "Who Wants to Live Forever". Amazing song.
Yesss 😍
Tom Agree! One of the best ballads by Freddie ever! Brilliant!
@@patmcnair2784 but brian wrote the song
Check the live performance tho 😉
Agreed, if not seen seen Too Much Love Will Kill You. Thought Who Wants to Live Forever was my favourite Queen song until I heard this.
White queen. Hammersmith odeon. A masterpiece!!
Yes, agree! Have asked several to react to that but nobody has yet! Oh well, their loss!! 😁
@@lizmagu3189 shhh... don't tell to anybody! It's a secret between us!!😉😉😂
Freddie is a force of nature, a showman extraordinaire. Queen is a phenomenal band and I was fortunate enough to have seen them live twice in the seventies....
2:58 Roger just KILLED in this part!
@Mike Embleton
My parents didn’t show me any queen lol, and they were the only way I would’ve been able to really explore older music, and we’ll have to check out a live performance sometime!
“🎶200 degrees, that’s why they call me Mr. Farenheeeeiiit🎵🎶...” ❤️it!! Thanks, Andy & Alex for adding a smile to my Wednesday and my 44th🎂!! Lol😄 When they performed this in Japan in 1979, Roger kinda helped a lot, seemed like Freddie strained his voice too much from back to back concerts... ruclips.net/video/VCP0wrsWYwg/видео.html
Thanks again for reacting to this happy Queen song💕
Roger carried the vocals in concert whenever Freddie’s voice was giving out. You can hear it in the Wembley concerts, among others.
@@hannyhawkins7804 When you see the evidence of the mutual support society that was Queen, is any wonder they eventually wrote "Friends will be Friends?" What a beautiful thank you note to Friends who put up with and stand by us!
Carrie Staker Great comment. Yes indeed. And its no coincidence that Queen threads largely free of the flame wars that mar so much of social media.
With all the amazing music Queen did this one is at the top of my list.I can't sit still when I'm listening to it. I saw other comments that this was found to be the world's happiest song in a university study. I have to say I'm not surprised. It always lifts me.
I've been a Queen fan since the 70's and have seen them twice
in concert (fantastic!!) but I wonder how many more of younger
people are now listening to them, due to the popularity of the
film?..."Don't stop me now"..was great... I'm so glad you
enjoyed this track..
I love this song. Its just a good, happy, upbeat song that never gets old. I love how @ 1:08 in the both of you smiled at the same time.
AMAZING how well this holds up after all the years. Sounds even better. Just timeless.
Death on two legs Queen - freaking Epic
@R Fick
I did it already, LOVED IT!!
that song became a HUGE hit in the UK...you need to watch the Bar scene Zombie attack in the Movie (Shaun of the Dead) that song is playing while they are battling Zombies in a UK Pub hysterically funny
love this scene :-)
Yes, bar scene was great, and they were hitting the zombie with the cue sticks to the beat of the music! ha ha And did you notice the song at the very end of the movie? They snuck that one in there!
the scene is epic! "dave! kill the queen!" *lol
Such an iconic scene. I was cheering and dancing in my seat in the theater like an idiot.
@Robin Wilson
😁😁😁
Hard to believe that anyone unless they have been locked away in a closet all their life hasn't heard Queen, after all their music is all over the place. Freddie is a true legend. Now that l have said that, WELCOME to the best of the 70's, 80's, 90's through today. Best to listen to Queen live though. Got study them - 4 members, so intelligent, gifted and just fun. ENJOY
it is certainly upbeat. its such an uplifting song. it makes me happy
Queen is was and will always be a god of music
Love the expressions on your faces boys, I grew up listening to Queen, so happy the younger generation are still listening !!!!! Keep up the great work. Please listen to Queen singing great pretender, Freddie's vocals ar amazing 😁
Search for the isolated vocal track, its amazing.. LOVE YOU GUYS!
A+ reaction to this fun Queen song! Enjoyed it as usual.
I can listen to this for an hr straight and it get tired of this song.
NEXT DO HAMMER TO FALL!!!
Oh yeah!!! 😎🎶🎸🎶🎤🎶👨🎤
Jake Pepper Good choice to follow this w Hammer to Fall.
WEMBLEY VERSION!!!
No do the normal version
That one's awfully slow and drags by comparison. Plus you don't get the actual live performance.
Your discovering true talent! Congratulations!
very happy....that's how this song always makes me feel!! Thank you guys.
It has become Queens second most popular song even though it was only a minor hit when released.
Queens Harmonizing vocals are the Tops. Incredible vocals.
Wonderful. If you notice (3:22 - 3:34) , Brian plays the Red Special, and he plays it - as he used to do - with a penny coin.
:-)
Specifically a 10-pence piece -- roughly the diameter of a quarter and the width of a dime.
@@LeChaunce Yes....
:-)
It used to be a sixpence, before the new currency.
Brian's guitar playing/tone is so distinctive, one or two chords is all you need to hear and know it's him.
One of my favorite Queen songs!
I'm just impressed you guys have never heard this song before. Like, that's some medal worthy shit right.
The joy on your faces - priceless.
I love your reactions! This song sends me to my happy place! 🎶🎶🎶❤❤❤😍
Brian sounds so good .
Dude is that first time u hear that song ? Congratulation you hv soul now
Love that you are going through all the Queen songs.
Hello boys...thank you from the UK...😊😊😊
One of their very best!!! Thank you....Also did you note that they told Brian it was going to be a Star Trek song, Roger a colorful birthday gig, Freddie a super cool all leather something scene, and John thought he was going to (what?) tea at an aunt's house???? You just can't get better than this!
I agree that Who Wants to Live Forever (one of my favorite lyrics to live by, "this world has only one sweet moment set aside for us") would be good, but it was in the movie....Still pushing for In the Lap of the Gods (Revisited)....you guys are great! Waiting for Wednesday!
This is a fantastic comment. Every bit of it, but especially the fashion commentary.😁🤣😂😆
I love them all!😊
@@sheerqueencat5089 Absolutely!!!
Anita Smith I think by this stage in their career Queen and their stylists are having a little joke, actually. Each of them is in a an ever so slightly exaggerated version of his own style.
There will never be another Queen!
