Extremely informative. Obviously this company knows their business and can execute quality workmanship. Thank you for producing the well thought out video.

the patio shown at 1:38 ..... absolutely stunned that they were allowed to have that much of an elevation drop without a railing. What municipality is this in, where building and safety codes are so lenient? I would LOVE to work in such a place!

I am planning to build 20 inch raised patio against the house brick. House brick also has weep holes/Drain channel at the bottom and other places.
What type of material we should use between patio and house brick to prevent moisture and rot issues in future ?

How do you slope a paver patio on top of a retaining wall? Seems as if the retaining wall would need to slope too.

The split face on the stones is irregular by nature. On the matrix block it’s as big as an inch. How are your step caps accounting for that irregularity? At this point in your video it shows a very flat split face leaving what is an acceptable gap for drainage. But matrix blocks are not typically that flat 2:24

What do you use to cement the stones together when building the wall?

@KD I was thinking more along the lines of motor or PL. just wondering what they used. But good job on the wasted effort at a dumb joke.

      Mortar

@KD neopolotan works great in my experience; and using sprinkles as filler aggregate to fill the retaining walls

You can also use Loctite landscape block adhesive as an alternative to mortar

Cambridge Pavers suck! Our pool coping faded after 3 months from darker brown to an orange color. Also, our pool patio ended up with three different color pavers and all had the same lot number. Total garbage. They also sell a wet cast step that nothing more than concrete. They have NO WARRANTY. Our were also colored very differently and they had pitting on the surface from before install. We refused them, and found out then the warranty on them was zero! The warranty is only good “until the proper installation”. Cambridge failed us repeatedly and held up our pool and landscaping product for an entire year. Stay away from Cambridge.

Did you have any cross hatching or hashtag looking marks show up before they were done installing? We have a huge area laid down first that looks worse than my 20 year old pavers surface, hundreds of surface wear spots and this # pattern on the highest parts of the texture, we're not holy...they're saying it's normal. I don't think it is.
