Circle Patio w/Seatwall & Columns - Time Lapse

- This project took place in Rochester, MN and was built from what was close to a blank canvas. We removed a small rock fire pit and from there, built this patio and seat wall with the fire pit in the center. We went with more of a red color to match with the deck which accented the home well.

Blows my mind you did all that in 5 minutes
🤣😂🤣🤣😂😂💊💉
Haha
Very nice. Let the sacrifices begin!
My back hurts just watching.
Beautiful work.
Guy in the bobcat got some skills on that machine
Thanks for the support Scott!
It wasn’t a bobcat it was a caterpillar
So refreshing to find a video with great music and not some generic, overused crap. Oh, and the brickwork looks neat too.
Thanks for the support!
Awesome work, its so fun to watch others show off their craft
I liked it all. Work. And soundtrack. Great job
That was frigging epic! Thanks Lad!
E E much appreciated!

Thanks for following along!
I usually can't stand DIY music videos, but this one was awesome. Good beat and outstanding work!
Thank you!
Nice job! Expert level! You made it look so simple. ....it's my 2nd time watching this. ......now I'm standing in my yard asking myself, where do I begin, again.
Begin with some foundations !
Professional!!
Beautiful
fantastic work!
Thank you!
What I loved the most was the narration. Excellent explanation.
It's a time lapse video, not a tutorial or how-to.
lauren thomas it is a great video, I was just being sarcastic. As a matter of fact it is excellent because a lot of people waste time talking. In this video I learned a lot.
At 4:30 when using whacker plate made me pmsl. Good work and nice finish
Nice looking project
James C thank you! Many more to come!
Look like he done a damn good job there young man

... oh amd.great work by the way
Legit man!!
Respect.
Perfect spot for a beer
Great job Young Man 👍🏾
Nice.
Looks great! Love the design. Only thing I would do different is to build the seating wall into the columns. Much stronger and more cuts. Columns won’t fall away from the wall...
Brian Bergman you can’t really do that. The block for the column is different then the pavers. Most columns aren’t attached
CHRIS KARSSEBOOM lmfao. Most columns are attached if using the same materials. I realize the sand you use as you base! Lmfao!!!!! I would never hire you to do a patio for me bc someone else will be repairing very soon!
@@brianbergman2179 @ CHRIS KARSSEBOOM Could you use wire brick ties, if the blocks didn't fit well into the bricks for the columns? Or even some kind of rebar joinery or plate joining method? Or maybe even use a cut-off saw as you build, to "make" a hole in the pillars for the wall blocks to fit into the wall. Not as good as building together but better than just two free standing structures? Genuine question.
Also, I don't know what type of soil you have there, but here in Australia, old-school bricklayers would always put in a deep concrete foundation with some reinforcing, even for a little wall and pillars like that. Nowadays, "bricklayers" or what passes for them, just do it like in the video.
Bringing back the polyphonic ringtones
Great music. Where did you get it?
Nice job How many days or hours did you take to finish this?
I am doing almost the exact same patio this weekend. My seat wall will a slight retaining wall. How would you pin versa lok blocks in a vertical wall?
Hi what was the full Diameter of the Project? thank you! looks awesome and is just what we are wanting to do.
Megan Hokaj this patio has a diameter of 18'. The seat wall and pillars are set on the outside of the patio. Hope this helps!
How much did you charge ? I’m looking to get a similar setup in my backyard . Thanks and good work sir !
Don't know where you're located or if you had the work done yet, but the price will vary greatly depending on where you are. In MA, this installation can cost anywhere from $6,500-9,000 dollars depending upon materials and access.
Looks like an inch of sand over compacted sand instead of compacted base and then your 1 in of sand. Now a guy like me gets to come back and do it the right way in a couple of years. Less if they get any kind of snow
Might be ok if the ground is already firm, he didn't disturb the ground much
I think what you saw was sand was actually gravel.
@@mickeypearce244 regardless if the ground is hard or not, you still need a base.
Hi, I Wonder how much área was covered? I mean the size of that. That was simply wicked!!
Looks to be about 200 sq ft with a 20 foot wall.
What type of spliter do you have?
what is the name of this paver kit? Work was very good.
What did you cut every block forming the wall for? Just one side or both, to get the circular fitment?
Didn't see you tamper the rock bed... how deep is your foundation?
Looks good at the end.. I have seen fire pots done differently..
LightGesture the block has a natural 16' outside radius so no cutting was necessary. Yes, everything is packed in 2" lifts for proper compaction and the wall is built to standard specs with 6" of base.
what kind of paver and sitting wall blocks did you use?
Nicce
what's the machine you are using to press the pavers and why?
super
Thank you!
Amazing job? Cost of this project?
$10k
wooooooow very good job where you guys living
great job!!! Could you please tell me the name of this wonderful soundtrack?
Thank you! This sound track is an original piece I wrote for this video.
@@EvansLandscapeLLC This soundtrack sunk into my soul) Very nice
how did you keep the bricks in place? I didnt see you spread any cement way laying the bricks for either the columns or wall? was this just a time saver or not needed for this particular project?
Chosenmind1223 every block is glued with a flexible concrete adhesive. Hope that helps!
Didn't see any compacted stone for the base of project.
We stay busy going behind people that built hardscaping like this and have to fix it
Probably why it's not level, should've put all the pack down first and leveled it before he put the posts up
What brand block you used for the seating wall?is this block has the radius or you had to cut the blocks for radius?nice job!!
The block is Versa-lok standard units. This block had the radius, so there was no cutting needed except for the coping. Hope this helps!
Do you know the diameter of the seating wall.inside or outside.
George Stoumbos the natural outside radius of the block is 8’. That puts the outside diameter at 16’.
How much should I CHARGE FOR A PATIO LIKE THIS ONE?
Is this all just stacked or did you use morter?
No gravel base? Straight to sand?
Beautiful job man
How much will it cost these kind a project
It depends on where you are located.
Ace. Lol. You don't have to buy a bobcat. What a dumbass. Maybe you should change your name to Beavis.
Ace Degenerate 10k for a bobcat? You mean one you’ll have to fix lol a new bobcat is like 70k
Think you used enough sand for the base, lol? And is there a reason why you didn’t compact any of the base before laying bricks on top of it?
We don't use sand as the base. All base is compacted before the bedding layer is applied.
Hi Evans, I didn't observe a paver base application below the sand which prompts me to ask what paver base did you use ? Thanks.
How much does something like this cost?
What was cost of materials?
How can people dislike this?
Villamor78 haha. The clients liked it!
Because it's built 100% wrong and will look like shit in less than 6 months. It should have been on a 6" compacted aggregate base mininum
Bradford Dearing it may be difficult to see from this video, but this seat wall and columns are built on 6" of stone. Everything you see here is built to NCMA and ICPI specs.
I saw it..3/4 clear/white
@@MrJay1994 Right on!
How many square feet is this paver patio?
Fucking awesome
I need do my too
How much you charge aprox for a seating wall like that?
I'd charge no more than 2 grand depending on ground
gerard kerins and you’d go broke
@@Fj4LiFe23 thats true you guys have to know your prices. Just labor and materials is around this price.
what's the size of these blocks
These are 6x16x12" and are 82lb units.
How much was it just on material?
Alex Cardenas it depends on your location and market.
4500ish
Phuck me. That digger operator missed his calling. Had he opted for medicine we'd be transplanting heads and repairing severed spines by now. Whoa.
What is the diameter of the fire pit? What is the diameter of the seating wall?
No modified stone
fuck i want one
how much does a project like this cost??
It varies from city to city. If you are in our area and would like a quote, we can schedule a time to meet.
Evans Landscape LLC in Atlanta area
Bout 10 grand
SBB1809 100 bucks labor? Lol
I would only suggest you start using plywood to protect the grass from unnecessary damage like that. You can use it over and over again on new jobs and your final product will be so much more impressive. Great
job though.
Where the hell is your modified base? Wont last with just sand
Pretty good for your first build! Haha, just kidding awesome build not an expert in something like this but looked pretty damn good to me. Now sit back and enjoy all the keyboard experts chime in. The forethought on how you built it and layed out the materials was A+++
Hey where’s the gravel you need a drainage system so that the whole thing doesn’t pull apart
This entire structure is built on 6” of class 2
I like how they were like "let's pick the worst song for this video"
Thanks. It's an original I wrote.
What in the apocalyptic zelda hell music is that geez
جميل. Pretty
Looks like all you used was sand for the whole thing. That's gonna shift and look so uneven after one winter. Nice try though. Look up ICPI specifications.
You're a HATER! He did a great job 👍🏾
@@deaconandrewkingtheinspira762 okay that's your opinion, I've been installing that stuff for linger than he's been alive so, not a hater, just do it right.
My exact thoughts I'm certified by ICPI and NCMA. Looks good now and will look like s*** later. I bet he won't show a follow-up video in about 3-5 years. I've been installing and overseeing these types of projects for about 18 years.
You should have done a closer image
That fire pit is only suppose to be 3ft off the sitting wall center its way out for it to be useful with the sitting wall
Angel H. Cruz just means that the owner will just have to make a bigger fire
No foundation??
Victor Jimenez hardscapes are typically built on flexible systems as seen here. A rigid foundation or footer such as concrete would not last in this application in MN.
K
Yes yes.
I could've shoveled that level faster than the guy driving the cat
We do our best to complete our projects in the most efficient way. If a shovel would have been more efficient, I assure you we would have done it.
Nice one dipshit
Cool, I wouldn’t spend all that money to make a fire pit in the middle. That’s kinda stupid. It would me much nicer with out the Pitt
Minecraft in the year 2371.
No foundation?
Entirely based with sand....?
Total $ ???????????????
Angel Diaz it depends on your location and market.
12-15k
No sub base or mortar in brick work
There is no concrete foundation under the wall,it will fall over or sink, totally wrong
