Handy men aren’t a replacement for big daddy’s. They are simply Columbia’s version of them. As at the end Elizabeth eludes to there being a infinite Multiverse of Raptures.
I feel like the more linear desing of infinite made them just an annoyance to fight. While big daddies can be dealt with by planning your approach, handyman just feel like having a bouncer directly attacking you on sight and that is not that fun

Too bad the hardware back then was not enough to satisfy the hunger. This game had amazing characters, story and setting but it could have been so much more amazing. Even current gen would not be able to make the game they dreamed of. I hope one day in the future they remake this game for future gen/s in a open world setting.
Infinite was a huge gameplay miss, everything was great and beautiful but they really stained the original formula by removing the playstile freedom of the first two chapter. Less plasmids, less guns, less powerups and less side activities (hacking, making research, upgrading and buying stuff, treasure hunts, side missions to gain more power...) I really hope the next chapter to be less aesthetically ambitious and more focused on gameplay

It's shocking how much was cut from Infinite. And considering the fact that it got delayed 3 times, you'd think that they could've fit some of that into the finished product. Unless of course it caused technical issues with the game.

Interesting to think that Savants may have been reworked into Gilbert Alexander in Bioshock 2. The sequel seems to have taken a lot of cut content and made it fit back into the game.
In the same level of Infinite where you find Saltenshals scalp there is a big white luxury high rise. Saltenshals name is one of the Tennant names inside or outside the building (cant remember which). You can go inside the ground floor lobby of this building but a broken elevator will not permit you to go higher.

And Saltensals apartment windows are open with papers blowing out them in the wind and Tje Vox have draped their red cloths out of those same windows.
The Claw Daddy makes me wish they did more with the tears in Infinite. Merged Citizens is one of the coolest and creepiest things in the game's cut content.
Great video! Lots of interesting info and I had no idea how many passengers were killed on Jack's flight. I know not every character can make it to the finale, but some of these were definitely worthy!

am i the only one that felt like the handymen in bioshock infinite were kinda out of place??? like i understand the whole freakshow, man-meets-machine vibe trying to be given but they just seem like another enemy that should of been scrapped but ended up being in the final game. i feel like there could of been a more suitable character to function as a miniboss type deal.
Think the heads in jars would have been more interesting if there was one or two living ones amongst shelfs of dead ones. When you walk past the living ones scream in agony and then start to spew bees or another plasmid type. Making them more of a trap instead of an enemy. Great video again mate :).

It wasn't really a playable demo. It was a scripted demo, everything that happens is made to look like organic gameplay but really it was all scripted set pieces. You can tell by the aesthetic camera angles that get the best view of each set piece so you can clearly see what is happening. That original version of Bioshock Infinite was never in a real playable position. Even on a top end PC of the time, the game was barely playable.
The actual character was removed. He was supposed to be in the finished game, but Irrational decided to remove him. The gave 2 easter eggs, one is a conversation between a group of NPC's and the other was his scalp nailed to a board.

The only ones I really knew about that had been cut was Saltonstall and the Little Brothers. I can see why one or two others were cut though, like Jimmy Jampot (as cool a name as it is), because even though Infinite strongly features racist ideals, his ideals about forcing breeding was not dissimilar to Hitler and the Aryan race, breeding a perfect race of people. Yes I know Hitler was breeding perfect features, Jimmy the preferred nature of people, but I guess this might be a step too far for the game.

I liked the iron patriots. Challenging and made sense for the city. Handymen were extra...? I didn’t really care when they showed up.
