imagine being whisper in the arena: you struggle to stay alive against a rock troll that decided to shower you with boulders that are bigger than yourself, after all the other crap you had to face to get to that point. only to have to watch your "partner" dance around like a lunatic standing right next to the monster and doing f** all to either help you or kill the monster..... and all that for about 2 hours

I like how right at the very beginning, seemingly everyone in town can instantly find out if you take bribe money from the man cheating on his wife. Which means someone was watching. Which means the entire town already knows, and has done nothing about it. Definitely people with enough moral high ground to judge a child...
Maybe its all the shouting they were doing, you can hear them talk about their affair as you approach. Not the smartest pair. 🤣🤣🤣

Shame the AI seemed to struggle so much in this run, but I do have to say, it's funny to watch it break down at places when you're not directly attacking. It's like the game's stopping and going "What? Did you put the controller down or something? We'll pause if you need a break." Even with the roadblocks, I'd say an excellent job, Piemaster!

Actually, you can beat Jack with only summons, his magic attack beam thing he shoots, does an explosion so if you just stand under him, it hurts him and will eventually beat himself.

Did you know eating fish grants like 3 Will experience? If you wanted to sacrifice a dozen hours and your controller's lifespan, you could reduce the amount of direct kills by a bit by eating all the fish for that starting unlock
Oh gosh no i didn't know this. If i do a other run i will keep this in mind, thank you! I would love to use a duplicate glitch to get loads of fishes and force my hero to eat them all at once. 🤣

The oakvale theme song will forever remind me of how much i loved this game as a kid. So much nostalgia. The edgyness and stupidity was perfect at that age. Although i still hated the farting, even then.

Most medieval towns actually did have laws against just any ol' bloke carrying 'round a sword, so being forced to turn in yer sword is actually fairly accurate.

New Idea: Fable as a Vampire? Drain Life and Turncoat only, if hit by any fireball or fire like thing, you have to go back to your earliest checkpoint. And also, SKILL ONLY UPGRADES. No Strength upgrades allowedm only skill and obviously turncoat and drain life.

So this may be surprising but in the original release version of Fable 1 the summon creature spell wouldn’t just summon the strongest creature killed. Regardless of what creature you have, if it killed something it would become it. I remember back in the day losing my white balverine summon I got in the arena to a hobbe and being extremely annoyed. I think it was changed to function differently when the updated version, Fable The Lost Chapters came out.

You know what's fucked? You might be able to beat Jack entirely with summons if you have your summon kill a bandit with a crossbow and keep him from killing anything else until the final boss...and then gotta hope to the gods that he doesn't kill any of Jack's minions...hell, that might also be able to beat the kraken too.

If it did work it would take ages though, the bandits crossbow does little damage and he shoots so slowly 🤣

Very entertaining video! I didn't plan on watching it all but the narration and edits really drew me in. I was surprised that the summons didn't work against the white balverine for you tho, I would always make my summon spell perform the final blow during the quest so that it could become the white balverine.

@@eponasuu737 The only caveat is that you have to avoid summoning the white balverine to attack minions or those big undead ice guys if you want to keep him since the game ranks those enemies as a higher tier and the white balverine will transform into them if he kills them sadly

When I play Fable, I kill the White Balberine using a Bandit summon so that I can have the White Balverine as my summon. I know the swords didn't work but maybe Summon would have. It needs to be better than a wasp by the way. A wasp summon can't hurt the Balverine
I read online that if you get the white balverine, then it womt change after that. And it also limits it to no range moves, other than a leap that doesnt fo far. 🤣
So i was just worried about that messing up the run and me restarting. But I might have to try this in the future.

I bloody love Summoner/Pacifist playthroughs in RPG's. The AI is either cracked beyond compare and have built in aimbot (Dragon's Dogma) or the summons are so laughably stupid you can't help but marvel at them (again, Dragon's Dogma)
Same, i would never believe that just playing the game a strange way would break an ai? I'm not smart enough to understand. 🤣

One recommendation I would make is once you have some money: spam summon for magic xp. As long as the thing is summoned, you use a smidgen of mp to call it to your side for 3xp.
This turned Fable into a damn clicker game lol

@@eponasuu737 If you leave him at the Darkwood camp and then take the other two traders to Oakvale and then after the cutscene go back to DW Camp tell him to follow, and you can then take him to Oakvale as well and he'll be just fine. somehow. dunknow if he changes in Oakvale though never seen it. as far as i see he's fine afterwards.

I have a feeling that you couldn't use summoning magic during the Twinblade fight because the bandits surrounding you are flagged as enemies. So the summons would have tried to attack them as well, but they can't be attacked or killed doing the Twinblade fight, only after if you then decided to kill Twinblade instead of walking away. So since the devs couldn't figure out how to fix that, they just disabled summons for that specific fight.
Weird how your summons didn't work on the White Balverine, as getting it as a summon itself is well know. Maybe your summon creature just wasn't a higher enough level creature? Pretty sure that bandit summon is pretty low level. I think I used stronger bandit leader in that fight to get the White Balverine as my summon.
That makes sense, they are able to stop you from targeting the bandits with lightning but summons spells are so iffy i can imagine its hard to stop them 🤣
People in the comments said that you can get the white balverine during the arena, so maybe thats the only way to do it. 🤣
