- Would you kindly join me as I rivist the storyline of the Bioshock series? Re-live the storylines of the men, the lighthouses, and the cities that made up one of the greatest gaming franchises of all time. Huge thanks to my buddy Craidan for proofreading the script and giving me very crucial feedback! It’s his fault I pronounced Lutece incorrectly.

God these guys knew how to make such amazing games. Probably my favorite series of all time
@@andrewk369 same for me. Personally these are my favorite 1st person shooter games
I worked as QA on that team, they were amazing!
The visual aid in the form of the little caricatures fading in and out does so much for me. 😅 It really does make it a lot easier to follow, instead of just seeing gameplay that may or may not pertain to the piece of the story being told.
Wow what perfect timing I was literally revisiting these games all month and the interviews as well as the development of them
Couldn't agree with u more Mr Bubbles.
ryans illusion of choice is kinda paradoxical when you consider how his undoing all sprung from him >choosing< to have an affair which created jack in the first place and with ryan telling his son to kill him is just a parent giving his child an order which if they dont follow through with, then theyd be punished which ryan may have killed jack or used his code word for his own gain and to not prove a point which again would be the parent giving the child orders. ryans own choices clouded his judgement and we see that in his slip into tryanny but this part stuck out. people who have affairs always gets burned and with gorland the powers that be always have a way to infiltrate or dismantle something n thats scary
ultimately everything comes down to one simple reality: the feds infiltrated and destroyed rapture from the inside....blaming ryan because he should have known the fed identity stealer would use his unknown bastard kid to brainwash as an eventual sleeper agent to kill him with is just silly.
I was part of the QA team on this game, it was unreal! I even worked with Ken Levine on the AiVo and localization, it was a great experience!
A fan watches, a boss subscribes 😎
@@nps86 a legend is already subscribed and likes the video before watching 👊🏼
That was cringe, imagine saying that unironically.
@@Deluxe-wb8vy it's not that deep😂
@@matiasgastouthat’s why I have 4000 subscriptions I’m not joking
Nice 👍
It's truly mindblowing how they connected every single piece of the story!
**HAVING GOOSEBUMPS**
I still remember my jaw hitting the floor when I realised the twist in the first game. Incredible world and story.
A retrospective on one of my favorite games of all time? Hell yeah!
I recently got the collection game for my ps4, and it's been a blast diving into the world of Bioshock for the first time. It's a mix of fun and scary, and I'm loving every minute of it!
@@Fedora_Hat64 it certainly is a wonderful franchise, the first game being the best in my opinion but they are all wonderful really. I just got the collection some years back and played it for the first time then
Man, I wish I could go back and play these for the first time. Such great games.
Was the first thing i bought with my first full paycheck back in 2016
Bro has a PS4 still 💀

Yes another Suggestive Gaming deep dive for me to listen to while working. You make my job more fun thank you for your service and I'm very excited for the next projects
Glad you enjoy it!
Another amazing video! You never seem to disappoint when it comes to lore and stories spanning a timeline or mutliple games.
Thanks a ton!
This is my favorite game series of all time!!! Thank you for covering it and doing it justice with your commentary and story telling.
@@ghghghghggggg mine to playing through them again now
And we’re back
BioShock is my all-time favorite game series. The way it tells the story of infinite possibilities and timelines makes me love the game even more. The concept of multiple realities embodied through the intertwined fates of Elizabeth and Booker adds layers of depth and complexity that keep me coming back to the series. This narrative brilliance, combined with the rich, atmospheric settings of Rapture and Columbia, truly sets BioShock apart in the gaming world. I really hope they bring this concept back in BioShock 4. The potential for exploring new timelines and realities within the same universe is immense, and it opens the door to endless creative possibilities. I'd love to hear other people's theories on the next game if you would kindly share them with me.
The best Bioshock video I've watched, thank you!
I'm so glad that you did this. Thank you!
Hell yeah dude finally I could understand the story of the bioshock franchise. I understand the story of the first one and the second one, but I couldn't understand the third one
Ik right? Like the whole infinite universe thing was cool and existential, but a part of me felt like it lost the plot of the original. Now that it's actually explained tk me, especially the buried at sea dlc, I think I get the gist. There's always a lighthouse. There's always a city. I guess it brings tk light the idea of choice, in bioshock, every ending does happen somewhere. It's actually kinda cool.
Would love to see a cover of Mortal Kombat's complete timeline, no one else goes into as much detail as you so it would be awesome to have it all compacted into one place
Yeah the difference is bioshock is an amazingly good story. Mortal kombat... is not even close lmao. At least when it comes to story.
Incredible video! thank you for this.
Great video. Always meant to play these games one day and this video motivates me to do so
Admittedly I’m not the smartest guy and sometimes even though I feel fully engaged in a game I find it’s more for the gameplay and I don’t fully understand the story or am able to connect the dots.
I love Bioshock, truly. But I never fully understood the intricacies of its stories. Having watched through this entire video I am blown away at just how deep it really was and how it came full circle.
Firstly thank you for taking the time to put a video together explaining it all and sharing it, very well done and to the point. Secondly it always amazes me people like you exist that are able to take all this in, understand it and relay it. Can’t wait to go through the rest of your catalog and maybe have some deeper understanding of other favorites, thank you again. 🙏🏻
Yoooooo great video my friend! I loved bioshock 1
Damn you finally did the Bioshock timeline! Hype.
You will not BELIVE how long I’ve been wanting this
Love the video, really informative and some things I completely forgot about. Going to buy the collection. It's been a minute since I've played.
I was watching the stream decided to wait for the whole vidoe as I was late wasn’t disappointed u have the best explanation videos of games and take the time to explain everything instead of skipping parts and if possible could u do infamous or mass effect
Finished the Burial At The Sea DLC a few hours. Mn, I can't stress this enough about how descriptive and concise this timeline summary was.
this game series is by far my favourite of all time, the story is so well crafted and playing through infinite + the dlcs for the first time, blind, about a year ago... i cried man, the final wrap up and ending to this franchise is so sad but so relieving as it actually ends and doesn't leave the universe on a massive cliff hanger for fans to theorise, its satisfying. lets just hope that Judas, Ken Levine's next game, lives up to the hype and can bring these types of games back into the AAA gaming spotlight
Amazing vid, really made me love this franchise even more that i already did.
I was going to bed, now I'll try again at 2 am, I have a video to watch.
Edit: It was about 2:15 in the morning but I finished the video, now I want a comprehensive kingdom hearts series video from you SG. Do that and I'll buy channel memberships for the next 2 years minimum.
Excellent video, thank you!
This might be my favorite RUclips channel.
I remember my PC was too slow to run this game and I was so sad. Then forgot about it and grew up, I was in the 7th grade. Now I can run but don't have that childish desire.
Really good video 🔥
Awesome video!
Thanks!
That was wonderful!
top tier video, what a joy to watch
Seriously the beauty and awe of these games are unmatched so many beautiful memories of these games.
Finally a Bioshock video🎉🎉 thank you
Yay! I love these timeline videos! Thank you for making them.
I'm not a gamer, I just like the lore. This was really well done! Thanks.
This is phenomenal
"I am Andrew Ryan, and I am here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat upon his brow? 'No,' says the man in Washington, 'it belongs to the poor.' 'No,' says the man in the Vatican, 'it belongs to God.' 'No,' says the man in Moscow, 'it belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...Rapture! A city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be restrained by petty morality, where the weak would not constrain the strong. And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well."
Still one of my favorite monologues in all of video games.
Is a man not entitled to the hamburger of his helper?
I have been watching your videos for a while now and just realised i was not subscribed. I corrected this mistake immediately
new bioshock comfort video discovered!!!
Great video. Thank you.
This was perfect.. I’m currently watching my dad replay the series
This game is Soo good I swear to God if Netflix doesn't do what fallout prime did then I DONT WANT IT it has to have fan service to work they cant change the story and I almost don't wanna see jack just first person tbh I haven't seen a show like that and bioshock would be perfect to never go out of first person 😭🙌🏼
Imagine if they do it bang on 👌👌👌
This is honestly a million dollar idea smh
@@rosacomard4453 I have zero confidence in Netflix to faithfully pull off a BioShock series
Just replayed the first two games and they still hold up
There is always a channel, there's always a man, there's always a video.
This was one of a couple of the first games me and my sister got when we got the Xbox 360. I was too scared to play it at the time lol now I love it
Best game series ever. Don't care what anyone says. Still holds up & what started my love of gaming. No gods or kings, only man. ❤
F.E.A.R. Timeline?
Would you Kindly appreciate homeboy and his detailed af video
Huge fan of the Bioshock series. Great video! I enjoyed it!
(I read the pinned comment, no hate at all I promise I’m just genuinely curious…Did your buddy Craidan play Infinite on mute or was he just trolling you on the Lutece pronunciation?)
I always love the scene with the little sisters attacking Fontaine, they inject his ass mercilessly! The one little sister does the Brad Pitt spear strike 🤣🤣
Hope you do a fear timeline video in the future
awesome video
Thanks!
Thank you very much, now after all those years (since release) i finaly understand Bioshock Infinite.
Glad I could help!
Thank you so much I love BioShock
Now I wanna play through all the bioshock games... again for like the 6th time... I've beaten them all on the hardest difficulties and gotten all the achievements already but still love it.
haha wow, some of this lore is bioSHOCKING! but for real, these videos have helped me get through my entire family being killed
That joke made me want to get crushed by a big daddy
How they die?
@@LoveStrangeDr stunts
Thanks!
Love how the game is getting more and more youtube content
Can't wait for them to make another one
I loved BioShock: Infinite. I truly enjoyed it.
I’m not sure if you’d be into the idea, but I would love a mascot series. Where you tackle games that were made during the “mascot era” of gaming. With games such as Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, etc.
Someday I definitely want to hit all of these
One of the best series I’ve ever played.
Good ole Becker Dewitt 😂 great video I love the timeline
There is a novelization of the first game that recommend to all fans. It’s a very well done story.
Is it fully of the first game or is it a fan made thing? Either way interested, where can I find it?
Such a classic
Finally, my wish from 2 years ago was granted
Take a drink every time booker is knocked out and you'll die
you should make one about Dishonored. its the same premise, a man, a city, and a lighthouse. they play the same and have same overtones and i think made by some of the same folks.
Technically, the infinite dlcs show how the games connect, but still loved the video
This guy’s good
Elizabeth was so well written and acted that I genuinely cared about her character and what happened to her in the game.
As often as Booker gets knocked out, you'd think he'd have a TBI (traumatic brain injury)
Can you do the infamous series next 🙏
Pretty badass they bring up the boxer rebellion, nobody even knows their was a world war in 1900
Changing his name from Ryanofski to Ryan. Really makes you think
I’ve played the games and watched many recaps.
But I didn’t know, until now, Jack was Ryan’s son. 😮
I realize it's an older franchise, but I would request a run-through of Syphon Filter's timeline. I played all those games and......I am still confused.
Hey Suggestive Gaming can you do the Onimusha, Shadow warriors or Infamous timeline.
Infamous for sure
please do a system shock video and how it may link to bioshock
My favorite games for immersion.. Loved them all... But BS1 will always be most loved by me ..
Legacy of Kain would be pretty awesome to see you cover in some way!
This is so on the way
@@SuggestiveGaming I am so damn excited :0 Heeeeeeeell yeah!
A man chooses a fan subscribes
Thank you for making this video. Honestly lost interest in the series after BioShock Infinite but still wonder about the story.
I always found it funny how Elisabeth turned into the very thing she resented. As well as her death at trying to right the wrongs she had done, just like Rapture’s Booker/Combstock
No
You should do the whole destiny 1 and 2 should be interesting to make since they finish final shape
Destiny would be tough since so much of its backstory is told “off-screen”. It’s definitely a consideration though
Ken Levine looks like an action figure of Charlie from It's Always Sunny that some kid left out on a hot tarmac too long.
Plus I'm disappointed they did not re-release the BioShock collection for PS5
Can't Wait for Judas !
Bioschocks 1 got ending made me feel so happy and good inside jack an old man surrounded by love and support even to the end i imagine he had an amazing life after rapture then there’s. bad ending makes you feel so cold bitter
If did you make another BioShock game I hope you can play us the big sister from BioShock 2
Literally the best game ever
Smash subscribe people, this was one of your best so far, I never played any of the bioshock games so this was a threat backstory and core stuff plus lore
In Bioshock burial at sea, why didnt Atlas know about the code "would you kindly" since in bioshock 1 Atlas is revealed to be Frank Fontaine the person who funded Jack's mental conditioning, so is burial at sea a different timeline where Frank Fontaine actually died and Atlas is a real person
The idea is that Fontaine told Suchong to imprint a code phrase into Jack, but he didn’t know/care what it was beforehand. He sends Elizabeth to retrieve it from Suchong’s lab, since he had died and couldn’t deliver it back to Fontaine himself.
