Young man this is from Canada, I have been in union for 59 years and retired now, but at 82 I'm still welding at home. You are one of the most talented 22 year old's I have seen with stinger in his hands. You will help many young guys with this video, as when I started nobody would show anybody anything. Your attitude is great and talent you have in abundance enjoy watching you both.
Holly shitt 59 years experience & you say this guy is talented?????I really do want to see your welds if you think this weld is goood...!!!!!! Are you sure u weren't a firewatch
Luis, I was thoroughly impressed! felt like I was right there with you both- the with your video, your welding skills, communication, wordage, and Bailey your camera skills are great and your helping skills are great! Blessings to you both keep it up🦅🦅👍🏽
Appreciate the free game my boi! Some old heads say the game is to be sold, not told. but each to their own. Thank you for the positive vibes and inspiration not many will do this. you da man👍
No problem man! Thats what we are here for as humans it’s our duty to spread positivity and wisdom. If you need someone to talk to about anything I’m here message me on insta,fb wherever
Thanks for your videos Texas. I will start a welding course in two months. I feel that I am a slow learner on this so I will watch your videos over and over for mental reps (experience). I know that there is no substitute for actually doing the welding. I just need the mental reps for comfort of learning.
I’m about to start welding on pipeline with 0 experience since i just quit being a hotshot with my truck. Your videos really help me out, thanks and keep doing what you’re doing!
Really enjoyed this haven’t welded in a while hoping to set up my truck and start back up again really enjoyed your video for sure earned a subscriber keep up with such great content
Hey Luis keep going man. I’ve been watching all your videos man! You’re a solid welder man I watch your videos before work in the morning while I’m getting ready!
I watch many welding videos, specially 6010 roots, many welders don’t show the welds, but I definitely love this video, show everything🤟🏼 love it good job man, hope more videos come in out🙏
Good shit welder. One thing to point out which you did touch around the subject, but is for beginners or anyone just breaking out to watch your stops after 3 or 9 o'clock going to the bottom, simply so you'll have an easier start angle or position and enough room to finish tying in to your bottom tack. You never want to stop at your sides if your not seasoned because as you know that's puro stick welder city lol, then frustration sets in and rods start flying! Better to start around 4 or 8 o'clock areas (depending on your side of course) with a fresh rod then to get stuck on the bottom with a little inch or less left for a bad tie-in for trying to send it from top to bottom with one rod and end up not having enough rod and gotta stop right before your bottom tack and screw a test up with IP or whatever inclusions on that little section. That goes for all passes. You obviously got the experience and my bad for the long ass comment its a first for me I never comment I feel silly but some rookies may not be able to fire off closer to the bottom without having some problems and It's just good to see a fellow skilled Texas welder with a good attitude helping to spread the knowledge of our trade, so I just wanted to chime in and join the fun 😂. Great stuff though man. You got a new Texas rig welder subscriber here bud. I see you sending that shit! Much respect, keep it up bro. Best of luck. 👍🏼👊🏼
just started welding a month ago, still trying to get the hang of it 👍🏽 ive been struggling with the cap not knowing what pattern to use but this video was very helpful 🔥
Funny you say that, im currently enrolled in a combination welding class, and after watching one video i feel i learned more from Loya than in class. Especially since i have some lab hours down i can mix the the two together.
New subscriber here... I noticed it sticker," still i rise"... I know that guy he was my welding teacher n Arizona at AAI... Mr. Smith... awesome video
Have you run any beads with 8010G ?. it can be and is done on x70 pipe (Grd 483) done thousands of them . I like to use a 3/32 land and 3/32 space . Land has to be uniform all the way around . Uniformity is key to a good fit up. To read the high low you look at the top of the lands . Aline those up and the internal high low will be the same as what you see on the top of the lands . Reason also for the uniformity is heat sink being uniform so that the edges of the land melt uniformly . Other wise you will have to favor the larger heat sink (thicker land) .You will find that sound plays a part in your welding too, especially when you have tight spots When grinding the bead you chase the wagon tracks either side of the bead the middle will look after itself for the most part depth is optional as to each welders likes . Do a sweeping motion so you can see the residue of the tracks(slag) burn out. Wish I was young and dangerous again. Good Vid young fella. I have a booklet on pipeline tricks and stolen Ideas I have made up over the years . Something you can't buy as a hand manual right now . If you want one. bartoonski@yahoo.ca
Apparently a tack weld in pipeline is huge lol I always make it the size of a “tack” but I’m just a welder fabricator . Glad to see your machine is working and thanks for the video!
O ya I have a question, why do y’all call it a Metabo and not a cut off wheel? Metabo is just a brand that makes all kinds of welding and grinding supplies
Thanks for the reply! Everyone’s got there lingo on the job, my step daughter lives in 3 Rivers Texas and I’ve visited and y’all got your own style too, if your a man you either got to have a badass welding rig or a jacked up truck! Always great people to meet in Texas
