This new road map looks partially lit, I wouldn't call it bright. Unless you're a hard-core DC comics fan, you may not know most of the characters listed in Gunn's announcement. You want to be able to pull in the lamen as well. It's a risky move, we'll see if it pays off.

Yes very sad news as personally I loved Henry as Superman but I also believe it was a bottom line business decision. DC movies are not profitable on the same scale as Marvel even though the production budgets match and exceed Marvels budgets for some movies, Black Adams budget exceeded 260M and in the end lost money. So I’m not surprised DC leadership just wants a new direction for all their projects to find the magic to making money like Marvel does!
This video sums it up for the most part but they only missed that cavil left the Witcher because the writers of the show didn’t respect the source material of the product. Then again cavil probably didn’t tell us yet when this video came out.

Yes it'd be cool to see him in his prime from the get go ( I can't wait for live action Superman Prime!) but there's a lot of naunce of his story that could fall flat if not explained. My guess is it'll be like a couple years after high school or something. Like I said, we'll have to wait and see.

However to all of the Snyder fans who are complaining now if you wanted Henry then more of you should have showed up at the box office and I know alot of you did but just judging by box office returns not enough. Because at the end of the day this is a business and businesses want to make money. They don't give a fuck about art or anything else if it doesn't make a profit. Hell even when Black Adam came out and the rock was openly sucking up to you and even got Henry a part you still didn't show up just because Snyder wasn't involved. The interesting thing is that from the stuff they announced as phase 1 for the next chapter in DCU, there isn't anything in there that needed Henry to be recast. It could've been the same slate built upon the groundwork that had been laid before. Idgaf if he likes Henry as a person, Gunn totally blew it from a casting and business perspective. How are you going to have a whole movie about The Authority and several Suicide Squad movies before introducing the Titans or anything remotely close to them? Hugely popular characters that haven't been touched on in film. Zack had already established Lois was pregnant in ZSJL - they could've built something from that and introduced a robin to get things started. Gunn is putting in obscure characters bc he doesn't like mainstream ones. And that's great for him as a fan, but the base want to see their favorites before you expand into D list characters.
I love Viola Davis and am glad she's getting more action as Amanda, but to put that character before a notable one simply because it's about the SS and Peacemaker seems like a shitty decision for the fans.
Maybe they want to make other IPs seem profitable before selling again. Maybe letting Henry go was about $$ instead of anything else. None of it makes sense otherwise.
Gunn is an awful choice to lead this. I'm disheartened and completely uninterested in what they have lined up.

For new Batman casting they should definitely cast Scott Adkins as Batman in Brave and the bold movie as earlier in 2013 he also auditioned for Batman for BvS (2016) which is also available on RUclips and he's the real deal because he is martial artist and good actor as well.

Tom Welling was the Superman of the 2000s. Henry Cavill was the Superman of the 2010s. The 2020 needs a new Superman actor.
