- **NEW SERIES!!!**
This Filipino dish from Tarlac has an interesting way of cooking chicken: it's boiled sitting up, which they believe helps to bring out the most flavor in the dish. This is Tarlac's Pinaupong Manok.

this channel is like netflix, discovery, history and etc.. we don’t deserve this kind of content for free..
that is why i don’t skip ads because it really made me guilty...
Seeing Erwan's channel feels like I'm watching a magazine show and at the same time, watching a documentary created by a professional journalist. To add up, the videographer was doing an amazing job with those camera angles. The narration is everything. Everything is perfect. What a channel!
Petition for netflix doc show for erwan
i've never skipped an ad the only thing i could do to payback a good quality content 🥳
I am loving this idea, yes please, we are not just about adobo. Although, I adore adobo.
Indeed. Filipino regional dishes outside Metro Manila is terribly underrepresented.
Thank you for featuring my province, Tarlac. And it’s your first episode! I can feel how much you love our country since I first watched your travel vlogs. I will surely wait your more episodes!
I love chicken, I can eat the whole lechon manok...
Thankful for Erwan who actually tries to have proper representation in our food scene. Props to you!
My mother side of the family is from Bamban, Tarlac, pure kapangpangan. She used to make this on a clay pot with tamarind leaves. I've tried copying her recipe but it's not as good as hers. Yes,Tarlac is very underated.
The cinematography thoooo🔥
I ate pinaupong manok in Asturias, Cebu. It was more like a tinola i think, but boiled at least 6 hrs.
But the focus of our topic while eating was how my Grandma new we were coming that when we got there the food was ready to serve. Note that we don't have contact with them for years and that trip was just a spur of the moment.
Always love and enjoying watching your vlogs even though sometimes I ended up so hungry! Thanks for covering Tarlac! 🥰
thought the chicken is doing crunches...is the chicken really sitting up or sitting down...hahaha
Super high budget videos!!
Imma is a close friend of ours. She is the Imma "nanay" of all in our village 😍..
I think Isabela’s dish “binugbog na manok” tastes much better. The chicken is beaten to death with wooden sticks and the bruises makes the chicken flesh taste better because it is more tender
Eyy! What's up early birds!! 👏😊
woo!
I am from Tarlac and this made me feel good
I never clicked this fast in my life. I missed you! ❤️
Even tho i'm Tagalog, i know more foods in Bisaya, Bicolano and Ilokano foods than Tarlac delicacies. Very underrated province.
I'm excited for the other provinces.
I LOVE THE CONTENT AND THE QUALITY OF THIS VIDEO. ♡
Not the usual Erwans time. Since I'm awake, so I clicked. 😁😍❤
Mukhang alien yung manok sa thumbnail 😂
Tried that already 🥰😁👍 pinaupong manok😜😁 very masarap☺️👍👍👍
You're like Geography Now: Philippine Food Edition :)
This style of story telling is refreshing. Anyway Pinaupo kasi kaya naka upo. Looking forward sa lechon manok episodes or pastel or cansi. Kudos!
Ladies & Gentlemen, that’s Erwan for you. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Yes, some who doesn't use soy sauce. I love meat without soy sauce..without soy sauce malalasahan mo ang real lasa ng chicken.
Always love your content!!! 💕
Pina upong manok (pineapple bottle gourd chicken) - erwan heusaff
Dear Erwan, it's Pan-ga-si-nen-se not Pangasineens. 😂
Sayang HAHAHA
Looking forward to the rest of the series! You always come up with such great videos. Thank you for sharing your love for the Philippines with all your viewers. 💗
Woooow! What a great concept! I wish to see south cotabato soon with pastil
As an ex-pat of 40 years, I'm glad I found this channel.
Well done, Erwan. This is what I remembered.
Sonny sent me.
Suggestion: Try to discover the rustic dish of hito or kanduli, stewed in curry (gata, luyang dilaw or turmeric, shallots, etc), and alagao leaves. That's just a general description. It's a common dish among the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, etc. So, expect variations of the same theme, from province to province. However, Pampangos strongly claim the dish originated from them. The usual name of the dish in Pampango is "lagat hitu", or nilagat na hito in Bulacan. But I've seen descriptions on RUclips like "inadobo sa gata at dahon ng alagao". Alagao, usually used as an herbal medicine, is surprisingly impressive in this particular dish.
The cinematography of Erwan’s videos is 💯 🙌🏻
Erwan, I hope the lowly “kulawo” of Laguna makes it to the list!
That looks so delicious! Thanks again Erwan I can’t wait to watch the 8 episode! More power to you!
This pinaupong manok will be part of our noche buena
This story about one of the filipino dishes and the production is so great.
Pinaupong manok, ang tapon lang talaga sa manok ay yung beak at feather, then kuko lahat pwede kainin?
I really like your content! I like watching all your video.
sorry this say this..but by the looks of having the chicken head and feet still intact while being prepared for cooking is a bit unsettling for me...they should have cut those parts first...no disrespect to tarlequeno cuisine though
Please feature Batangas Goto. Its just different from any other goto around the Philippines.
Eto ba yung malapit sa TSU????? 😲😲😲😲
Pinaupong manok! Missing the Philippine so bad.
Try some goat dishes there sir erwan, it's really good.
I think the challenge is #83Provinces na because Palawan will be split into 3 provinces...
FOOD VLOG SERIES? HYPE TRAIN IS ON CHU CHU!!
Tiga ku Tarlac, pero eke man balu na ibat keni ing pepaluklukang manuk. Hehe. Eke pa pin atakman yan e. 😅
Hi Erwan, the pinaupong Manok which i think is older than this recipe is also good. You get to seat the chicken in a lot of salt then cooked in a Palayok. No need to fry it! But this is also a nice take in the recipe.😀
So yummy and delicious...love it Erwan!
Chef of the year goes to....Erwan Heussaff! ❤
This deserves more views!! Come one RUclips, do something~!
Ganda ng video quality parang movie
Bakit ang dilim ng lighting sa intro? Horror?😁
Try our lucban kinulob dish.
im from Tarlac, and our pinaupong manok ay may kamias
Excited for Nueva Ecija!
Talagang abe ing palung patche nilutu me?
Yo Erwan! Taga Tarlac ako. Hehe.
pano kaya naging kawawa ang anak nya? pag maitim kawawa? 😥😕
Pinaupong Manok... Tumayo!
Very informative!! 💯❤❤
Please cook spicy tuyo pasta!!!
Hi and where is the whole recipe? Thanks 🌷
Kuya, thank you so much for this!!
Everything about chicken is delicious... Esp here in Bacolod... Yummm love it! Nice recipe Erwan... Yummy 💕💕💕👌👌👌
Tuguegarao, Cagayan Valley please.
when is this series coming back?
History Channel is shaking
Thank you Mr. Erwan such a great video. Much love!
Good province to start the series. Tarlac being the melting pot of Luzon. A province where Capampañgans, Tagalogs, Pangasinenses, and Ilocanos live in harmony.
P.S. Commented before finishing the video. I was surprised you mentioned the same.
Very cool project, man.
I am here now after watching Binagol episode. How did I miss this part. Great content Erwan..but to be honest, I'm doubtful by how they season the chicken with kust Salt. Hehehe
Tarlac reprezent here hahahaa!
Hi Sir. 😁 Your content are awesome. Keep rockin'! 🤘 (Love your voice, so much. Hahaha.) ❤️😍😜
81 provinces. 81 dishes. For real?? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Super interesting video! Thank you for opening up our eyes to awesome new things!
I love your vlogs so much sobrang ganda ng quality ng mga contents mo unlike other vloggers. Kudos Erwan
To FEATR team and producers, I hope that you guys will still see through the 81 provinces project despite the pandemic being an obstacle in 2020. It would be an amazing opportunity for our generation to know more about the culture of the Philippines.
Isabela next, pleaseee
So nice video
@erwan heussaf you should went further go to my town Camiling, Tarlac. im proud to say that we make the ilocanos the best chicharon or bagnet. It is our specialty and delicacy called iniruban.
interested? just dm me 😊😊😊
Yes. I remembered my nanay used to cook Pinaupuang Manok. I would often watch as she would literally have the whole dressed chicken sit on an inverted almeres drenched in salt inside a big kaldero. Super tagal maluto but when its fully cooked, super sarap, meat is so tender, salty yet delicious. Miss my mom's cooking.
Erwan I hope you can complete 81 before 2020 ends😭
Not happening anymore because of COVID19 unfortunately
You and your production team never failed. You guys are great. Congratulations! And have a wonderful holidays!
I love this new series! Erwan and Team, you guys are the BEST! Showcasing Filipino dishes in all 81 provinces? Brilliant! It’s about time the world see how rich our cuisine is 🇵🇭❤️🤟🏻
Hi erwan love I love this dish.. Paborito ko to. Im a fan of your vlog din. Sana mapansin mo ako. Hahahah
Pinaupong manok
if you gave a thumbs down, idek why you're even here.... like did you see those fried chicken...?breh...
Soo gwapo talaga😙
Editing is superb 👍
@Erwan Heussaff I was thinking of requesting this dish and I'm surprised to see you have already cooked it. Yay! It seems different from how my Mom used to cook it but it'll be interesting to see how others do it. I'll go watch now!!
*I thought you cooked it. I spoke too soon! I hope you can feature Paranaque's Lauya. :)
Great video, and I look forward to this series. Although I was quite disturbed with the lack of transition between Tarlac city and Lapaz that mad it look as if it was one place.
QUALITY CONTENT !!!
That looks delicious! I wish I could make it myself but sadly, I'm not good at understanding heavy accents so I only got about a third of what she said.
Is there any chance you or someone else could subtitle this for us? I would really love to learn how to make this.
Yey! ❤️ New video, it feels like I'm traveling as well. The difference is i can't taste whatever erwans eating. Haha 😂
