Nice work. 2 easy little mods I did to the roof top tent was put a small grommet in the base up near the head of th bedto run power into th tent. I ran the same led lighting as what's in th trailer. Also had a usb charger for my phone. Mounted lights along th center bar of th rooftop. Also tie a 1ft length of paracord to the zip for th cover. Hellps u pull th zip on a better angle and makes setup and pack way easier also makes zip last longer. Zips r a fail point on the cover. I travelled Australia and lived in th kings rooftop for 4 months and the cover was the only issue I had. The paracord made a big difference
Lights are looking good man!! Only thing I would change would be replace those 2 rear facing lights with a slimline lightbar. Heaps more light and a similar profile to not get in the way.
Yes for off-road at night, but no for camping (unless they are on a dimmer). Massive light bars at camp are a real pain, they make everything else too hard to see.
@Sethjxl you can buy low output light bars. I have one in my garage. Rubbish for offroading, but perfect for the campsite.
Congrats!!! "Dad"....
Hey, you may want to run an earth strap between the lid, rtt frame and the body.
What a brilliant job btw. You may want some lighting under the trailer.
Make sure you let the son know you built the trailer when he is old enough to get it.
Looking awesome mate one thing I would add which I have done for my rooftop tent is put lights and chargers in there for phones and what not makes a massive difference being able to have lights in there
Good on you mate! Congrats to you and the mrs. All the best for the future! its good you keep it private, its better that way. Good on ya! Also good work on the trailer have been following from the start.
Loving the build mate trailer is look amazing and congrats on having a baby boy, me and my partner now have two covid baby’s
Side note maybe look at changing how the tent is mounted to the trailer 4 bolts to hold it down might not be enough maybe look at going to 8 bolts better to over build on things like that. 👌🏼🇦🇺
Congratulations on becoming a dad mate,
really like the shed updates, keep up the good work
Should look at the stedi micro v2 bar lights to replace the ones on the back. Lovin the set up
Put more of those coloured lights under the tent, to spread some orange light for more visibility, and also spread the party 👌
You can use the Hella Valuefit mini led lightbar for your rear lights. Works perfect. You get those lights in spot or defused beam patterns
Surely you get a 100 series mate!!! Congrats to u and your misso as well!
You should put some velcro on the back of the remote for the LEDs so that you can stick it to the marine carpet on your drawer or where ever.
Congrats on the Baby!! Lights are awesome!!
You keep giving me great ideas for my setup, can’t wait to start it!!!
Congratulations on little Wolf! Hope yourself, Mum and bub are doing well. I am feeling the inspiration to get out into the shed and build something. Those rear lights could be moved to the angled supports for the rack to allow for more storage room and that would also give you the option to angle the lights out to get more spread. My 2c.
awesome build, looks great
love the lights you did nice wiring
Looks great! Looking forward to seeing you take it out on a trip. Good work mate
Appreciate the content and congrats on becoming a dad! Although I don't need new suspension I did have a look at the offerings from Fulcrum and I'm sorry to say that based on their product description there's no chance I'll be buying their products in the future unless they change their methods. e.g. Bilstein package for LC76 does not mention the Bilstein shock model No. That's like Toyota advertising a vehicle as "Toyota 4x4" . Obviously Fulcrum are including the base model Billy shocks in that package. Hey, I realise it's not your fault and I'm glad that you;re receiving sponsorship - my remarks are aimed at Fulcrum. Cheers
Hey fella congrats to you and the Mrs on having a kid great work and also ways love seeing shed updates. Keep these coming
Congratulations on the little one...
Absolute love this build
Man this is sick, makes me more and more motivated to do something like this. Congrats on the little one.
Really enjoying watching your build. It's looking awesome!! 👌
Your killing it mate. Looks so good.
Looks great mate good on ya mate
Trailer is looking great! Nice job mate 👍
good job, and its a nice setup
Really enjoying your trailer build mate, it's coming together super nice!!!
Congrats 🎉 and can’t wait to see it out in the tracks, sucks it’s been raining a lot
Congrats to you & the fam!
12v is looking the goods mate!
You might be able to find those thin light bars on the rear just in a flood pattern? Maybe those were spots and that's why they're shining in a focused circle!
Loved watching this series, really enjoy your content mate. Congrats on the baby!
Congrats, hope you enjoy your time with your baby & family.
Totally love it, next you will want to run some 12v power and lights into the tent, absolute game changer
Thank you very much for taking time in making this video and posting it. You are very talented.
Love this build man it has inspired me to build my own trailer like yours keep up the videos man
Love the trailer mate you have down a awesome job so far
Looks so good mate. You do sound very stoked with it, for good reason. Awesome effort 👌
Love watching this build. I think it’s the perfect setup. Congrats on your son, I have a boy on the way and look forward to watching the adventures ahead
I reckon putting that waterproof gland Upside down, making the long bit point into the tub, less chance of knocking it off if you’re sliding surf boards under the tent
awesome job man congrats too you and your partner on your new bub cheers
In the middle of watching the whole playlist. What a great job!
Yes mate you've done a top job....Very impressed...Happy Camping...!!
Congratulations on becoming a Dad. Best role ever! 👍🏼👍🏼
Hey mate Congrats to you guys with the baby keep up the good work
Congrats 👏🏽 with new cub… mean lightzzz 🤙🏽
Trailer looks mint but I reckon you should take that middle ground stand of and put 2 on the front and back like what caravans have👌👌
Killer video mate and congrats on the baby boy
Congrats on the sponsors for the videos must help out a heap! And of course congrats on the baby boy! Keep killing the videos trailer looks wicked!
Love the videos and wish I could one day build something like that 🤙
Looking awesome bro.
Congratulations on the baby as well. 🎉👨👩👦
I’d be adding some more of those rgb lights just above the kitchen area as well. But apart from that it’s just about ready to go camping ⛺️ woohoo
Congratulations on the boy.
Congrats on the baby mate, and trailer looks great
Looks So Good
Highly recommend an easily accessible mains battery isolator. Cool ideas would be lights in the drawer, a travel buddy and more rgb in kitchen area and under the rtt. Thanks for the inspiration, the execution won’t be the same but my little dodgy trailer should go alright with some love
Congratulations on your Son!! Life gets nothing but more amazing from here on.
Trailer looks awesome!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on the birth of your son. Let the real adventure begin. Good luck with that. Hahahahahaha. Hoping you bring more projects. I hope you guys survive the rain and flooding
That's a sick setup. Just need a Coleman hot water set up off the side with a 90l plastic tank under it will be off grid living !
Nice Work! I just watched the whole series and am glad I found it. Nice job with the videography, audio, and editing! By far the best quality of the dozens of DIY trailer videos I have seen
Nothing better than a clean looking camp trailer you built yourself, coming along very nicely & Congrats on the baby to you both!!
Ps would be killer seeing the trailer being towed behind a mad series 4 wags.
Congrats on the kid love the videos
great video ! well done with the 12v install! u might find that if u don't use with charge or disconnect the battery those led indicators will drain the battery a bit .. congrats on how much your channel has grown lots of consistent views !
replace the rear facing to a hotter light. Looks fantastic. Wish I had one in my driveway.
Absolutely love ya work mate well done 👍👏👏
1st of all congratulations. As a father,.myselg, my 1st bit of advice is to cherish every moment. & don't worry if the videos become less frequent.
As for touring car, knowing your preference for Datsuns, l would suggest a 4.2 GU Patrol wagon.
How about a solar panel on slide attached to the underside of the rooftop tent, pull it out towards the tow bar and slapping that to the battery if you want to make the trailer a home base and leave it behind while going out for a drive
Congrats bloke. Can't wait for the family content! Btw the trailer is mint
Congrats, on the young fella mate. lighting looks good not long now bruz
Love the trailer brother looking so good 👍🏽
I can’t wait till this build is done and congratulations on you baby and I hope you love him lots and what’s the next ep
Yeeeeew loving it 🤙🏽 can’t wait till you take it out for the test run haha
Also congrats on the baby ❤️
i love the trailer it looks so sick and my and your son have the same birthday which is pretty cool
Chuck a big 40 amp fuse or similar in where ur feed for ur fuse block terminates to ur battery to protect that cable
Looks good mate.one upgrade ive done on the rtt is a cheap $20 blow up mattress under the kings mattress. Amazing sleep now 👌🏻👌🏻
Awesome!! Congrats... A BOY!!
This is so sick
Just subscribed. That’s a good looking build. I’ll have to go back and follow it from the start.
Yeww thanks mate!!
Congratulations 🎉
Great content as usual. Do you have any concerns about that heat vent allowing that fine dust in ? As being towed on dirt will surely coat everything inside - that crap gets in everywhere !!!
So mint boss!
This thing turning out so mint good on ya mate also ya GQ 🤤 that thing is soooo mint bro
You've done a great job on this mate, something to be proud of. Can I suggest that you run a short earth between the main body and the lid. Those hinges are a moving part, and they are the only significant electrical contact between the lid and the body for the ground. This will cause corrosion in the dissimilar (Steel, S-Steel, Ally) metals via electrolysis. Ground strap between them is an easy fix.
Cheers.
Agreed! Or for best practice, a negative from your common earth pin that you loop between all lights because voltage drop is a real thing.
Love ya work mate, thanks for sharing and congrats on the birth of Wolf!!!!
Same borthday as me whatba day to be born. Congrats mate your gonna love being a dad.
Once again congratulations on your new little touring buddy 🐺. The dad will be there stay. Plus a dad bod is the new ripped 😂👍. Keep up the killer vids and who cares when they come out and when you upload. Family first same as your health(all of you guys health). Always gonna be a subscriber no matter what.
Congrats mate. Having a son is a game changer
Mate this is unreal! You've gotta be stocked with that!
you flipin unit mate
the trailers turnin out insane
Nice work
Grab some Stedi ST3520 Lights for the rear. Nice and slim like those ones with a good spread which is what you want for the rear
Brilliant sharing my friend! Lot of love and great respect from a solo mountain hiker friend from the Lower Chitral District of Pakistan.
Run power up into tent while your there for light and phone charger and fan
Looks mint, I thought you were mental when you first got the trailer but come up sick
Mate congratulations, WA dad myself loads of fun mate
Great vids and something I have been contemplating myself for a while. I'd consider adding some LED lighting in the drawer so you can find things at night ? Congrats on becoming a Dad ! My son just turned 20 and is now coming away 4WD'ing with me and camping etc, so it gets into the genes :-) Maybe add some connection so that you can put a LED light in the tent when it is up ?
Congratulations on the baby! Especially to your partner.
Looks wicked mate I think I nice shell pop up tent would look neater but what ever
At 10:12 you mentioned you took a big (black) wire back to the battery, was it your trailer (2nd) battery or the main vehicle battery.
Great vid.
Cheers
nice work ! !
Although about the bugs.... straya !
Trailer is great
Woohoo Dad. It is the best journey in life. Enjoy.
