KIX’s final performance ever is set for September 17 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. “KIX…Walkin’ Away, The Final Show” will see the original band members Steve Whiteman, Brian Forsythe, Ronnie Younkins, Jimmy Chalfant take the stage for the very last time. The night will also include some very special guests.

One of the greatest guitar tandums to ever join forces, love love love this band
I took vocal lessons from Steve at musicians institute of Baltimore about 15 years ago. Very cool guy. Brian was there also teaching guitar. Two very, kind, respectful, humble gentleman. My Mama was going threw an illness at that time and not one lesson began before Steve would ask, How's your mom? So caring. Kix may retired, but still gonna rock out with em!!!
I was playing a "68" Fender Strat with a Peavey TKO 80 that I put a 12" Black Widow in the night that we opened for KIX.
Two great guitar players and also seem like very nice guys. For whatever reason they don't get recognized as much as they should. Their riffs and playing were right up there with the guys that were getting all the attention. Really cool to see the band come together and go out with style.
Wore the first album out in High School -- it's still my favorite! .. Gonna miss them!
