Even I had a toxic boss who bullied me for more than one and half years ... I could do nothing as she was Head HR and next to VP HR/IR/IT/LEGAL. She literally tortured me, shouted at me in front of all... i had no option as i couldn't leave jobs before an year as I had faced this question during my interview 'why are you leaving before you complete one year?' Her name is SAVIANA PHULSUNGHE. I felt I am good for nothing, i had self doubts. It is a terrible experience. Every day I cried. Finally she threw me out. She didn't confirm me for 1 and half years. No leave. One leave costed me one day's salary. As I was not earning too well cause it was during the initial days of my career. It definitely left me wounded. Wound has filled but the scars are still there. I wish to narrate my story to all in front of her. Honestly, these witches will never feel bad for what they did.

Sad thing is most companies are in favour of top management. Companies are all about numbers. No one cares about employee dynamics, employee satisfaction. HR will also support toxic leaders only. As soon as you see toxicity 1. Document everything. 2. Upgrade your skills and start searching new job. - You will never reach your full potential under such leadership.

Every one can find Toxic boss in his lifetime in the company. It is same in public sector also. One main reason is racism, not confident in his profession and show bosism so that junior did not say anything against him. Sometimes juniors are more organised and intelligent that also irritate him/her. How far one have to compromise with such boss is entirely depend on the person. Ultimately every one is having own life other than professional life. If we constantly compromise with such toxic boss which ultimately hampered your personal life, that is more important. Hence, it is better to expose such toxic boss to higher management.

Even i have experienced a toxic lady boss who called and abused everyone on a meeting as everyone gave her poor rating on a survey form for her bad behavior as a result she was given pip and termination from position she held for. so she decided to take a brutal revenue as everyone tried to kick her out from the power. Even after escalating the matter to senior management also where our voice was heard she got terminated. But what's more shocking was that instead of changing her behavior she became more furious to take revenge from those people who complained against her. So she started harassing those people personally who escalated against her. And one of the things that shocked me more is that she got another job in Ireland as a project manager despite being her toxic behavior her knowledge and skill was 0 she secured this job in Ireland by using power, favoritism, influence and jugaad whereas there are many talented people who deserved that post at last it's very disheartening to see that evil people use jugaaad to get job anywhere in the world.

I faced the same, manager was not giving equal value so I dropped him email by keeping cc his manager that I expect same equal value as you give to others and it will be helpful if he can inform team when he goes on leave. He saw the email and told HR that he don't want to work with me. They told me to resign on same day. This is what we got when we work honestly. When I asked manager he told me that I went against him hence he did all this things.

Having a personal issue with your boss is one thing, but reporting to a person who is behaving unethically is another. This may come in an obvious form, like manipulating numbers in a report or spending company money on inappropriate activities; however, it can also occur more subtly, in the form of bullying, accepting inappropriate gifts from suppliers, or asking you to skip a standard procedure just once. With studies indicating that managers are responsible for 60% of workplace misconduct, the abuse of leadership authority is an unfortunate reality.
    Unrealistic and Conflicting Goals
Your organization sets a goal-it could be a monthly sales figure or product production number-that seems unrealistic, even unattainable. While not unethical in and of itself (after all, having driven leadership with aggressive company goals is crucial to innovation and growth), it’s how employees, and even some leaders, go about reaching the goal that could raise an ethical red flag. Unrealistic objectives can spur leaders to put undue pressure on their employees, and employees may consider cutting corners or breaching ethical or legal guidelines to obtain them. Cutting corners ethically is a shortcut that rarely pays off, and if your entire team or department is failing to meet goals, company leadership needs that feedback to revisit those goals and re-evaluate performance expectations.
