thank you for the video! i'm in the market for a first (budget) youtube camera and was thinking about the a6000 and m50 but this one ticks off all of my wants/needs: mic out, headphone out, mirrorless, 4k, interchangeable lens, articulating screen and sony brand.

I appreciate the even-handed review of pro/con. You speak quickly, so labels on the various images and their settings would help clarify what you are referring to (older viewers and non-native English speaker would like that). We had fold up tables “counters” for over a year because I did the same thing about planning….
I'm so glad I watched this review. I saw that it was released and watched a different one, but it didn't go as in depth as this one. I think it might be the camera I end up saving up for.

I'm kinda really confused about Sony ZVE10
I want to purchase it and I'm gonna visit a shop in like 1 or two days to buy this
But the thing is I saw many videos about this camera and in some videos people rotate it's screen but not like 360° , it's screen stucks at one point which is not a problem for me but it should be rotate down ..like if my hand are up to the sky and I'm doing a high angle shot then the screen should rotate down so I can see the screen but in every video they rotate the screen in Every direction but not down
Other thing is there's a video where the title was Sony zve10L
Is the "L" a different model ? Where the screen rotation and audio recording in 120fps might not available or available
I know the things I'm asking are weird but the price of this camera in my country is 900 US Dollars which is a lot for me
So I really want to know these things which are really important for the type of content I want to make

Before using A7sIII I really never notice rolling shutter, but after using it for few months, i could see rolling shutter is everywhere on Sony ZV-E10. Now I realize that rolling shutter is kind of distracting though

I have the zv-1. Try the intelligent auto mode. It knows the difference and automatically adjusts for portrait (detected a human), back lighting, macro, landscape, motion, etc. The zv-e10 is supposed to do the same, bit I don't have one - so not sure...

@@osomax i could use the toy ZV10 for professional work ;). It is about pushing the equipment to their maximum. I use the ZV1 for cooking show professionally. Overhead mounting is a true blessing. I mean the side angle for the food closeup is a A7C haha.
And i have done 30 over ep. And not one single client complained. So essentially I made a toy work splendidly ;)

Well, I JUST BOUGHT a6400 about few weeks back!!! Anyway A6600 is worth it.
And I think the only and most thing that I think I am glad bought it is the "weather sealed" and audio format it can captures.
But the FUCKIN' USB-C on the Sony ZV-E10 !! Hate sony for not putting USB-C in their a6xxx series, and not updating their software so that we can use it for webcam like ZV-E10.
Also I would love to have the headphone jack on the a6400....
All in all, I am convincing myself, I am glad bought the a6400 for the weather sealing protection.

Thanks for that detailed review of the ZV-E10. I was wondering if the autofocus is as fast and reliable as on the a6400? ZV-E10 uses "Eye detection" and a6400 "Double something..." Which one is better when it comes to autofocusing faces and low light situations? I spend three days now intensively searching for information between this two cameras but no one mentioned the differences between this two cameras when it comes to low light situations and autofocusing performance! Would be nice if you could help me out here
if you put it on sunny weather setting it would look blown out but if you set it to normal it will show the actual brightness. i reckon they just boost the backlight which gives us incorrect exposure look. but thats how i think it does that

It reminds me alot of the Samsung NX500. Sadly Samsung is no longer supporting it's cameras but it's been great for the time. I mean 28MP aps-c sensor and 4K video in a tiny camera like this one from Sony was just amazing but way ahead of it's time. It is from 2015 and not 2021 and has identical features...

Thank you gene. Right to the points that matter. All I wanted was to know if this was a better alternative to getting a used a6500 or a new a6600. I was relieved to see you had a review of this azve10 Because although I would love to have either of those other cameras (or both of them) the budget for either of them just isn’t quite there. I think this one lands in a price range that works a lot better for the quality.

To state about the 18 min shutdown i believe that is to protect from condensation. Thats why if its already hot it will last longer. It more than likely has programming that detects the of rate of the temperature increase. Cause condensation can lead to contacts of BGA’s rusting and corroding.

Its $100 more than m50 mark 2 right now . Is it worth it ?
Thank you so much for this review. 🙏🏼One question: If buying this for filming family trips etc, some videos for my psychologist HomePage and taking portraits (I love portraits) - would the 10-18mm plus the 50mm f/1.8 OSS be a good choice of lenses, or should I make other choices? I am not into tech stuff, but love taking pictures. At the moment I own a Olympus PEN E-PL with a 45 mm lense.

The picture quality looks very good to me, colors also but this rolling shutter and lack of ibis is a dealbreaker to me.
I feel like this could be a good backup camera and b-camera. Definitely not a main cam. It could be a pretty good combo with my a6400. It bothers me because it’s pretty simplified but there are features I did more than my camera.
Thinking exactly the same! The Gyro is a cool + too! Wish they did an update to bring that to the A6400 since it has a build in gyro too

We need a ZV-E10 vs M50 Mark II comparison. Did you even try the built in ND Filter? I have used my ZV1 full auto and it worked great. In some cases it was better than my phone and in others it wasn’t. However I don’t think your views can really tell the difference. Content is king.
This camera is really for someone stepping up to the next level after has been using their phone or maybe someone who streams and needs a face cam.
There’s no built-in ND filter in this camera...
