What surprised me the most about the M3, as an upgrade to the M2, is that it can hold some full-frame cameras even with smaller zooms. This makes this gimbal a hell more flexible for a wider group of people. Cannot wait to see how the market reacts to another revolution from Zhiyun.

I used to use the m2 with my Nikon 1's, which was awesome as the whole kit was so light you could easily hold it on a 15ft pole for jib/crane shots. Super handy for travel (collapsible pole). It struggled and didn't have the clearance to hold my xt3 properly, but for simple pans and timelapses with a smaller lens it was still very useful.
What a set up. I love the stormtrooper look. I'd love to see more of this combo. You got a really great image out of it. I'm amazed by the AF in low light too. It would be cool to see it with the new light weight Sigma 18-50 2.8 DC DN.

I believe it's perfect for a full-frame camera Sony A7C too. Lightweight is the technology trend. The camera and gimbal are getting smaller but better.

Small compactibility and payload of M3 does amaze me, I will definately give it a try. 369usd is acceptable for me if it is light enough for more daily uses.

Question is, will it improve smoothness compared to an the M2 with the same camera on it? It's double the price after all. So if better sensors, improved software and computational power are part of the package I would be intrigued. Don't really need the higher payload.
I am thinking of using this with my Go Pro 10 ... Its a bit overkill but this is one of the only small form factor gimbals that still works with the Go Pro Media Mod.
I am so impressed that the gimbal and ZV-E10 match soooo much. The balancing truly is easy with that new design. The light is a bonus for night vlogging.
okay, so i'm 9:26mins in and im falling more in love with the setup...that light also just does it for me. infact, ALL gimbals should have that light on the side...cant wait to get it.. by the way, i'm watching from Botswana, big fan.. (dare u to check where Botswana is)...lol
Dumela, rra! I've been looking at this exact setup as my second camera for a long overland expedition to...Botswana! I think it would be just great. I just hope the ZV-E10 can survive the Makgadikgadi Pan. ;-)
@@KAPhotography thanks for the info. On their website it says none of the controls on the gimbal will work with the zv-e01 🤷♂️ It seems like they only support a small number of cameras. Sony have a simple and free API for camera control via Bluetooth or WiFi so I'm not sure why these gimbal companies don't make use of that 🤷♂️

At least they make the record button works its fine. Thst is the most important on all button tue focus wheel is useless anyway. But it doesnt work. Yes its small gimbal with powerful motor in it but still the buttons are USELESS
Hey @PotatoJet … Can you zoom the ZV-E10 via the wheel on Crane M3? I’ve tried to get the DJI RSC 2 working and it can only start and stop recording but doesn’t seem to do anything else. Wondering if Crane M3 provides much more compatibility and control. Thanks for your response in advance

Imagine this gimbal with a fuji xt40?! Considering how popular the xt30 was with the small light weight crowd I can’t imagine fuji making us wait much longer other than maybe trying to fit all of the advances in the small body
Gimbals are crazy, imagine this 3 years ago. The tech has come so far
I remember using the first ones. Every month or so I had to resolder the exposed wires to keep it working lol. That was like 2012 I think.
This one is definitely a beast.
But still control limited for most camera’s. Specially canon. Look it can be balance but you cannot use of its features in controls
I'm not to sure I'd want to shoot with a gimbal that looks like a Storm Trooper. I'd be afraid I wouldn't be able to ever hit my subject!

@@markshirley01 Looks like he was using the Sony 10-18, the 24 and 50 1.8, and the Sigma 30 1.4 in the vid at various times.
Gimbal is probably the only way to deal with that rolling shutter.
@@ReviewApaHariIni catalyst browse also works well to reduce rolling shutter.

This gimbal is fantastic for phones AND LENSES, yes lenses.
Thanks for the balancing tips. My DJI takes me like 45 minutes. Seeing this now I bet I can get it down to 5 minutes

i just ordered one about 20 minutes ago for my sony a6600. hopefully with an external mic it's still okay and able to pan all the way down.
