Thank so much for the footages and the great review. I'd like to know what gimbal did you use when the 18-105 mm mounted on. I particular like your buttery smooth footage when filming forward on the bridge.
Almost all of the sample footage was hand held but a couple shots were on a gimbal. The gimbal shown in the video is the Zhyiun Weebill S. The gimbal is a good size and will hold heavier camera / lens set ups
It’s a great camera to start a channel with. I started my first channel with the cannon g7x back years ago and the zv1 is way better than that camera. If you plan on switching out lenses then the zve10 is also probably the best starter camera.
Hey Kyle! Great video. I struggle to decide between the Zv-1 and the Zv-e10. My main concern is going to be filming in my studio, which is fairly small and dark. I am afraid of getting the zv-1 only to realize that it doesn't capture the full width of the room and then I am stuck with that as I can't change lens. Unfortunately I have not found a single video showcasing this, what is your take on it? I am only considering the zv-1 because of how compact it is for traveling, and of course that the aftermarket prices are much lower than that of the zv-e10 Thanks again!
Ultimately the zve10 with a low Aputure lens will do better in lower light situations and studio setups (with minimal studio lighting) but the zv1 can still work. The zv1 is a 24mm equivalent lens which is about the same as I film most of my talking head videos in my studio on my a7siii camera so I’d say it’s wide enough for that. The beginning of this video (the part with baby yoda) was all shot on the zv1 ruclips.net/video/sZpzJPYn7FA/видео.html
Kyle. Just stumbled across you site. I’m impressed with your editing. I have to ask! The small coloured lights on you boot. How did you do that? What software do you edit with? Your studio mic? Very nice work. One of your comments were asking about a different stabilizer. I think they were talking about Catalyst Browse. Uses gyro information. The A6400 doesn’t offer the “gyro files”. Both the ZV-1 and ZV-E10 offer it. I must say it again. Very solid editing work. Your site is a tutorial for great editing. Very well done!!!
Great video Kyle. Do you think ZV-E10 is good enough for art videos? (painting and drawing videos - mostly done with overhead camera setup). The video should be sharp and 4K so the drawing lines will be visible. I don't have a huge budget so I think this camera should do the work. Also what lens do you recommend for this purpose? Thank you
The zve10 is what I’ve been using as my overhead camera and it works great. The kit lens would be ok for it but if you had more to spend I would look at the sigma 18-50 f2.8. It’s helps using a zoom lens so you can get the framing that you want

Thanks for such a great and informative video!! But also, are they Back to the Future Nikes in the background?!? 🤩
Yes! They are Nike air mags from bttf
@@KyleWattsTV Ahh - they're amazing!!
Do you have any recommendations for photography lenses? I plan on taking mostly pictures of real estate properties and family photos (babies, events, etc.)
I’d check out the Tamron 17-70mm lens. It’s a really good versatile lens. I did a photography video with it if you wanna check it out.

@@KyleWattsTV thank you for your reply! I just found the video as I was scrolling. Currently watching!
Should I buy canon m50 or Sony zv e-10
Mainly for photography and low light situations.
this video helped me choose the zv e10 thank you
Great informative video mane thank you , looking to buy my first camera
How is this camera for outdoor sports? My son plays baseball and I would like to capture his playing other than my cellphone. Would it overheat in high 90 degree temperature?
Informative and interesting review of Sony ZV E10.
Great review - thank you. Do you think it’s good for recording yoga videos?
Yes, it would be a good camera for filming things like that because it has really good auto focus and face tracking
The gimbal is a good size and will hold heavier camera / lens set ups
would you recommend this camera for photography?
Yes! Just finished a video on photography with this camera

Thank you for the great video!!
Absolutely loved the 4k footage you shot!
Thanks for watching!
Hey man amazing video but I have a question. So is a Sony ZV-1 a good starter camera for my RUclips channel?
It’s a great camera to start a channel with. I started my first channel with the cannon g7x back years ago and the zv1 is way better than that camera. If you plan on switching out lenses then the zve10 is also probably the best starter camera.
@@KyleWattsTV another question is do I have to buy lenses for the camera and which is the best one for the Sony ZV-1?
@@Isaac_Mendo the zv-1 has a built in 24-70mm lens and you can’t change the lens
@@KyleWattsTV Thank you sooo much and I just subscribed. This really helped a lot
Edit: does it have a microphone or do I have to buy one?
@@Isaac_Mendo it has an internal microphone but using something like a small shotgun microphone would be an upgrade
I am only considering the zv-1 because of how compact it is for traveling, and of course that the aftermarket prices are much lower than that of the zv-e10
Thanks again!
The beginning of this video (the part with baby yoda) was all shot on the zv1

Really great review, my friend thanks for the sharing this video, I'm from Hyderabad in India,
Thanks man, very helpful review. Starting from 8:23 is that color graded in post ?
All of those shots were in standard profile with basic highlight and shadow adjustments in post.
Do you think this is good for indoor basketball shots and video?
Great video Kyle. Do you think ZV-E10 is good enough for art videos? (painting and drawing videos - mostly done with overhead camera setup). The video should be sharp and 4K so the drawing lines will be visible. I don't have a huge budget so I think this camera should do the work. Also what lens do you recommend for this purpose? Thank you
The zve10 is what I’ve been using as my overhead camera and it works great. The kit lens would be ok for it but if you had more to spend I would look at the sigma 18-50 f2.8. It’s helps using a zoom lens so you can get the framing that you want
Do you use batteries or there is a way to connect it to a power supply?
@@nemanjapetrovic119 you can attach it to a power bank while recording or you can use a “dummy battery” which is a power supply that connects to a battery
@@KyleWattsTV Thank you very much for fast and informative responses. Your videos and advices are extremely helpful. My search for the camera and lens is over, thanks to you! 👍
Can you advise for indoor streaming which lens is good
Sony E 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Lens
Sony E 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3
Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens
Awesome video ! I plan on getting the ZV-E10 along with the 18-105 lens. Im a barber and I’m buying these products with the intention of film making and pictures as well. Would you say this is a good combination for both, pictures and videos ??
