Very good restoration, but I would have done two things different: I would have added a third pin and grounded it. And I would have encapsuled the two wires inside with those small ceramic rings. That would make it more safe to use, I think.
Very cool restoration you did a great job! Also love that you matched to the original colours especially the feet of the stove! Great video! Love from London ☺️
Skoalonguys67 yeah i do love it, and I am still learning a lot! looking forward when the flea market open again where all the rusty stuff waits to get back to life 😂
Nice job. Being a restorer and electrical engineer myself and if I was going to use it regularly, I would have added two things for safety. 1, High temperature insulating sleeving for the wires under the ceramic plate and 2, Electrical safety earth (ground) connection to the body of the unit.
Stuart Russell thank you :) there is also a isolation missing at the corners to the ceramic, its in general risky to use this hot plate. as mentioned before - I had a Arthur Spooner moment 😄
Alt T thank you for your feedback - we are thinking about a small video for instagram, but as we cannot make up the test before its just about the result where you can see that it works and see the red hot spiral
Flex030 thank you - and also thank you for the feedback, we try to find the perfect balance between chilling and rewarding restoration videos, maybe this was to chill 😅
@@ForgottenShineRestoration your channel will reach very far because you appreciate constructive criticism/feedback. I wish you all the best, God bless. Subscribed!
Great work! Spectacular, interesting to watch the action! How long did it take to make this work of art? Good luck to your channel! I recommend everyone to watch!!!!
I find it annoying when a video creator tells me to subscribe because it usally has the opposite effect on me as a consumer. Said that, I subscribed anyway because I like your restorations and how relaxing your content is. Keep these up if you can! 👍
Billy Wylie Thank you for your feedback. The goal of the videos is basically not to be hectic and rather calming. We are still trying to find the perfect balance between the unexcited and the right speed.
Lack of finish on the heating coil, you should have redress the helicoidal shape before put it in the ceramic, Also for the metal parts it's just sandblasting and repaint, no restoration at all, anyway, keep improve
huntin4life thank you! in Germanywe have the possibility to achieve a master craftsman's diploma in different professions - which I do have, that means I learned what I am doing, even if this is the first time using my knowledge
"camping hotplate"? When did camp sites get electric power? Do you pack in and out a generator? Looks more like an old 1930's ~ 1940's apartment hotplate, which are/were a known fire hazzard. I hope you upgraded it. EDIT: Based on other comments you didn't upgrade it, so it is just as dangerous and unsafe after the restoration as it was before.
The way that you do these things is amazing

Yo tambien amo Londres por ti Mmmm😍😍😍
Good restoration work.
I often go camping too, and always bring my electric hotplate just in case there happens to be a power supply in the woods.
Danimal Von thank you, while these times I only camp inside my house, in my bed, and making sausages and sauerkraut next to my bed :)

Could you pls. tell me we I can get that kind of plug? I have vinatge or antiqe electric kettle and would like to use it.
I think it was worth showing the work of the stove before the restoration began, and at the end there was not a single frame with a red-hot spiral
Alt T thank you for your feedback - we are thinking about a small video for instagram, but as we cannot make up the test before its just about the result where you can see that it works and see the red hot spiral
Very convenient little heating device for lunch room, before the use of the microwave oven. Only set back was no off switch, otherwise awesome.
great job

Threading that coil must have taken forever
Big potential. I had to watch this at 2x speed and still it was too slow.. At least you don't have music in the video.

Thoroughly enjoyed the restoration, but you lost me at the sauerkraut...🤪
😅😅🐢
Very cool restoration! I am curious to what sauce you dipped that sausage into.
It was potatoes, sauerkraut, sausage and mustard.😊🐢
Should have said "Guten appetit." Instead of Bon appetit. Braut wurst! Yum!!
