SnowRunner, the highly anticipated follow-up to the surprise trucking sim hit MudRunner, developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive, was fully revealed today at gamescom. Teased previously as MudRunner 2, SnowRunner is the ultimate off-road experience, made bigger and better with stunning visuals, advanced simulation physics, massive maps and vehicles, and the introduction of snowy terrain.
SnowRunner puts you behind the wheel of a huge roster of customizable heavy-duty vehicles from manufacturers like Pacific, Navistar and more in some of the world’s most untamed, unforgiving environments. There are more than 15 new sandbox maps to explore, some up to four times larger than those in the original MudRunner. Master extreme hazards like snowdrifts, ice, rivers and mud - each with their own unique challenges - to get your cargo safely to its destination as quickly as possible. Take on the elements alone or with friends online in fully-synchronous four-player co-op multiplayer!
SnowRunner is expected to launch in 2020 on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Windows PC through the Epic Games store.
Steam Workshop was a great feature in Mudrunner. Now getting mods will be not as easy anymore as epic games store doesnt have similar feature..

You realise if you buy on Epic, you're actually supporting the developer more? On Steam only 70% of your cash goes to the developer, on Epic 88%. How do you think games are made, out of thin air? Plus, Epic probably gave the developer a cash advance to actually enable development. Games are not cheap to produce, they require a lot of hard work, and game developers are not particularly well-paid considering their skills. Stop being so childish.
@@sickre I Honestly can't tell if your being serious or troll but there's no use spouting the old excuses. Most people at this point know's Epic pays these devs literally hundreds of thousands to even millions up front for their games to be exclusive. They pay some of them so much that it pretty much covers most of the revenue that they would have made from sales in the first place. The actions that the epic store does and approves of is not justifiable JUST because it has a higher revenue cut. Epic does not cater to consumers one bit.
Anyone has the full right to not support the epic launcher. Its far inferior to Steam and GoG and its very "anti-consumer". The only reason it exist is because of Fortnite. And the only reason its even "alive" is because of its crappy exclusivity deals. There is literally no reason for anyone to genuinely want to use Epic over steam or gog. It does not offer anything worthwhile. And I don't care about the whole "supporting the developers" because most of them are paid boatloads of cash from Epic anyways.
Im assuming you haven't heard of the Ooblets situation. Where the devs literally insulted their patreon supporters saying that they didn't need them anymore since epic paid them more then enough cash. and them being complete douchebags to their own community in their discord. And tim sweeny defended them with how they took actions. Or maybe the Shinmue 3 situation were backers where promised a steam release and linux support aswell as a physical DVD release of the game all of witch to be thrown away to it it going exclusive without any kind of heads-up Completely betraying its kickstarter backers........ and same thing with Pheonix Point.
The Epic store also lacks some of the most basic features such as a shopping cart.......... Its a mediocre platform. That revenue cut does not do enough to agree with Epic's actions. The whole "Games are not cheap" excuse is old and BS. its the same stuff that AAA companies say when they try to justify loot-boxes and atrocious microtransactions in full priced games ontop of paid DLC and season passes.
For me i backed the original spintires on kickstarter back in 2013 and this has been my favorite off-road game franchise. However i won't be buying this one You can say that im entitled or that i'm a Steam elitist all you want but i have more than enough reasons to not support the platform. Its not doing any good for PC gaming industry its only been causing more unnecessary problems.

Probably helps I use Epic for some assets and creating 3d models of buildings but I don't see why people hate downloading things from Epic so much.
@@spydergs07 Bad history with Epic and their business practices leave a lot to be desired. Not to mention their juvenile squabble with Steam (who had the common sense not to engage). Epic allowing the Chinese to scour our computers for data was enough to put me off, let alone the lack of features and effort in building a halfway decent store front.
You also don't realize that Epic charges more to people outside the US while Steam doesn't. Part of that 30% goes into making sure people pay the same amount all over the world and the rest goes into making the store a better place for consumers like us. I'm not blind to the fact that Gabe and the Steam company is here to make money, there's no denying that, but the end product is much better for us while Epic's store is better for them and possibly developers as they get up-front cash but less on the back end as they have less customer exposure as a result.

sti_guy simul8 explained it in another comment what I took from what he said is that spin-tires and mudrunner are now two different things after the devs disagreed about it and now spin-tires is on steam so that is what I took from it I might be wrong

Holy Hell FUQ... Focus Home Interactive, you were the last bastion of hope. Even though you released your games on Steam DRM platform you made them DRM-FREE, so they could still run without steam and now you've jumped into bed with Epic for a 2nd time. So Epics plan is to own all the games and then we will accept their store as the norm. Oh ok, I wonder if gamers are gonna accept this none sense and start doing something about this. The PC platform is being Hijacked by Epic Games. While Gabe Newell was trying to save the PC platform, Timothy 'Tencent' Sweeney was busy refusing to release his game son our platform because we weren't worthy and we were all pirates. If only these AZZhat publishers was as exciting about releasing their games on GoG as they are to go exclusive on Epic.

I had my cash in hand ready to support Greedfall and the Surge 2 (the only 2 games i planned on buying this year), because I support Focus Home Interactive. @@josiah1851 Epic prizes, for example. Steam give each country a prize according to the the local currency and overall acquisitive power. Epic's are just plain US prizes. I can't afford games from epic, however, I buy them on Steam.

Having just noticed Spintires had an update through STEAM, I checked out the news and found the RockPaperShotgun post for this game/video, which initially had me excited for another fantastic looking installment in the Spintires/MudRunner series!
But that excitement suddenly went away upon seeing 'Epic Games Store' regarding the PC version... NOPE.
I signed into RUclips specifically just to leave this comment, and judging the majority of the comments section here too, it seems like the entire community is very much against supporting the Epic Games Store, good job shooting yourselves in the foot with whoever made that absolutely absurdly stupid decision! :/

a really huge backstabbing to Mudrunner community. Expecially since workshop integration with custom map and veichles were the core of re-playbility (and long live) of this game. Custom maps were working without worshop too, but having the official support made easier to setup a custom map adventure with your friends.
Epic EULA is strictly against mods: they could take down if they don't like it or directly stolen it from the modder and made profit with it without even given credits.
gg to the publisher/dev that had decided to bring money on short term, even if sales will be low, Timmy Tencent will will guarantee an income.

I've been in that kind of environment and the only difference is snow (textures) and less traction (a more slippery physics engine)
Mud runner is quite a bit better then Spintires.
Snow runner is being developed on a new engine that was made for Snow runner, better physics, better interiors, larger maps, and console mods.

I play on PS4 and I'm really looking forward to the amazing trucks you've showcased. Unlike the majority of the players I play the game the way it was intended with no mods and I've loved mudrunner. I can't wait to see what you guys do with this game.
I'm so tired of PC games being exclusive to a particular store. Why not host on both? If EGS want to be competitive they can sell it for a few dollars cheaper. As it stands, I will not be buying this as a result. EGS is an inferior platform.

I hope there'll be some sort of 'campaign', possibly with buying, selling and upkeeping of vehicles, would give the player something to work towards to. Hopefully such feature could be implemented by the time I buy it on Steam several years later once it's in -75% discount. Otherwise, it looks great, would've bought it day one on Steam, if it wasn't another Epic exclusive.

If you guys are taking suggestions, i reccomend a FOV slider for first person. Im not a super big fan of how limited it is in spintires. As long as it goes up to 108(which is a normal person’s field of view), id be happy about it. This game’s looking good, though

Both Mudrunner nad original Spintires are good games. When I heard about Mudrunner a thought it will be basically Spintires 2. It turned out to be Spintires 1.5. Slightly improved graphics, few minor new features, different maps, new trucks and that's just about it. Those two games remain to this day basically the same. The differences are just so small...
Sadly, judging by the trailer, this is the same case. It looks like they spent the time developing snow and ice, creating new maps and trucks. Trucks and maps are cool, I wouldn't expect nothing else from proper sequel. But ice and snow? I mean how much different is the snow from mud really. In the end you'll end up with mud anyway, because you'll rake through the snow. And ice, well it sure looks like fun but who wanted it?
It looks to me like the devs were developing new environment instead of focusing the biggest problem this game has - it gets boring. All you can do is transporting logs (or whatever we will be transporting in SnowRunner) from one place to another and that's it. It gets boring fast. The most irritating part is, that I (and certainly not only I) have so many ideas for different task. Clean up the road; rescue lost tourists; find broken truck, repair it and bring back to garage; build one of those portable military bridges; transport something that is difficult to transport in the wilderness, like something really big and heavy... But no, we will be stuck with transporting stuff from one place to another. But hey, we get to do it on the snow!
And to top it off you have original Spintires game - over 1000 items in Steam workshop. MudRunner almost 2000 items in Steam workshop. So what do you do, you take this game with huge mod tradition and release it to Epic Store, where mod support is no existent...

Epic games store just killed mudruner like if u agree, btw mudruner did this cause Epic gave more money which means mudruner don’t care it’s fan base is on steam. It’s a ugly disgusting thing epic does, epic games need to be stoped. Epic games was only known for fortnite and fortnite is dying.
