If you're serious about music production you should definitely take his course. The community of producers you get access to is amazing
thanks my man!!
definitely!
So true man. I’ve gotten so much better since I’ve joined compared to when I first started🤘🏻
This is so true. I’ve had an amazing experience and my production skills skyrocketed. You won’t regret it
this guy sure knows how to teach am taking his course
I love how you break things down so well and you don’t over complicate things.
To make a long story short: The "most important sound in electronic music" is a filtered supersaw pluck, that also has control for the sustain to vary the length of the pluck.
Jp8000 all day or a Yamaha etc
Thanks I couldn’t hang with the beginner serum tut.
"If you could make this sound you can make any sound you could ever imagine"
Virtual Riot: -_-
Yes, I put that in the comments as well and see that someone mentioned JP8000, which I think pioneered it back around 96.
Bro whenever I see you make music I get so inspired to go and make some music
Same
And then you write a chord and hate youself
@@MrPeezySleezy lol
@@MrPeezySleezy when you think of a cord but you're not near your computer
Same dude

That sound is used in so many tracks from Zedd's Spectrum to The Veldt by Deadmau5.
This is fire bro, good usage of the envelope stuff. Sounds super professional and it's so simple!
Oh my god, Niko the melody god is here
I can't wait for your next video
Jup
“You want a jazzy melody? I got u”
literally all tutorials of Serum on youtube "close the cutoff and assign the envelope to the cutoff frequency" hahah
YO CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR FIRST 100,000 SUBS :)
You know Imma buy that guitar pack!
I bought Orbital some months ago and it has truly helped me write a couple songs and learned how to design my sounds and what parameters do what in Serum.
Thank you for putting up all these great tutorials!
Cool tutorial. Of course, this type of sound can be created with virtually any synth plugin that has the needed FX. No need to buy Serum, you can just use Vital or Surge which are both free and open source.
I'm a simple dude, I see Avicii and Kygo on the thumbnail of an Alex Rome video, I click.
this is sick !
I always thought the most important sound in electronic music is the kick drum.
good point
Cthulu also comes in pretty handy. Also by Xfer........
Keep it up Alex, its very underated. I love how you get so excited when you make cool music, since its a very inportant thing to be having fun.
Agreed. Gets me excited to make music too
You're the best, Alex!
Please make sound design on sylenth too
dude this video is sooo useful
Can u do a whole video where you make a full EDM song? Like u used to do before :D
yup im putting one together
3:59 that sound, sounds like *GTA vVce City* 🌆
haha the sound of the menu buttons!
@@lavenderllamamusic yeah
Thought this was gonna be how to make a hypersaw/supersaw lmao.
Nope! The foundational sound that can be developed into that sound
Im eating subway at 1am and this has me spontaneously outbursting "get the f*** outta here" with food in my mouth. Thank you.
I’ve never seen any of your videos before but I’m at 1:35 into the video and just had to pause and say you should be a teacher
Just finished , bro you’re sick af , I don’t even make edm but this was amazing !!
Can you make a tutorial for this sound in another vst like vital ?
Hey, this method he is using can be applied to other synths aswell. You need a saw tooth, a low pass filter and 1 or 2 enveloppes. You can experiment a bit :) Have fun.
@@bartjelories thanks👌🏽
I can't be tied to a sound, a plugin or a genre.
Ill see myself out..
But somewhat music brethren, remember, from what you know, you must first learn the basics... But knowledge is not just "Knowing" , its the things you learn to get there.
Worth more than a solution handed to you with a click, is the experience of discovery. And it need not be a Synth / Sound thats popular... because chasing the now, becomes the then...
love your enthusiasm!
Geez guys just get a real synth and move some faders around it’s not that hard...!!!!! Who wants to gaff around with all this noise crap?
Does any one use windows based computers for music production, i see every one uses macs. Is windows a complete shit for music production? I appreciate an advice on this. Thx
Why'd he essentially make envelope 1 silent and then make the pluck with envelope 2?
Great stuff as always, fundamental knowledge
We saw Avicci & illenium & clicked on it instantly 😭🤣🤣
if we were in 2014 this would be about pryda snare
What music software are you using
20% Gaaannngggg 💪
👍👍👍🙌✔✔✔
Can you make a vedio for vital please...
Try Surge and Vital. Both qre free
Wait, bass with reverb? That's illegal
Oh it's the deadmau5 pluck
All edm songs have white noise 😎😎
Shouldn't have stereo on sub
You ani't ever lie! I remember when I first heard DEAMAU5 - FAXING BERLIN I was hooked. EDX mastered it in my opinion, check out EDX - BLESSED and Cazzette - Weapon (EDX's Acapulco At Night Remix). The Super Saw Pluck will never get old for me. Obsessed.
Honestly thought it was gonna be a donk
That Pluck sounds so good. I love it
Congrats on 100K subs man! 90% of what ive learnt in Logic comes from you :D
Brb. Gonna make a dope sound with this knowledge! Where have you been my whole life.
Man is giving out the sauce for free
I must say you're a sensei of music.
As usual, a Short and sweet tutorial. Thanks for the knowledge ❤️.
thank you from Asia
saw waves are overused lol
6:15 song name pls.. 🙏
dont agree too genetric
Man you are awesome.
I was expecting a kick drum tutorial judging from the title! 😀
Right?! 808.
I was expecting sine sub bass 😂😂
I was expecting the buildup laser sound
Sometimes life can be so simple😅
Thanks mate✌
Awesome video!
Great Video!
Haven’t listened yet, but guess it is the supersaw?
close! but nope.
fantastic man
You can do that in harmor, but you don't need the cutoff as there is a pluck setting in it. Bring the pluck knob as low as you want and alter the blur to affect the release.
I'm new to music production. Does Serum come with a couple presets and then you can purchase more presets with different expansion packs? I hate the preset synths on my current software and feel really stifled. Eventually I want to join the bootcamp but I want to make sure I understand what I'm purchasing when I eventually get Serum.
Always so inspiring !
Was thinking of signing up for your bootcamp. Been producing for a year and struggle to finish songs. I'm mostly into Fisher style tech house.
Really useful (as always). I don't have Serum (yet) but some of the other synth plugins should have similar options. Thanks!
Just bought a house and very strapped for cash, but almost feel guilty gaining so much knowledge so quickly from your vids and not taking your course. Will be signing up anyway, lol
Is it posible to create this sound outside from Serum ?
Actually, most synths have a filter, a saw oscillator and envelope control. I do most of my pads and a lot of my leads in Sytrus. Serum, however, has a WAY more intuitive UI.
Not from a Jedi.
Simple but amazing.. that what great 👍 music is..great tutorial, thanks for the inspiration
is this the new pryda snare? nah seriously i have been searching for a "53 thieves "kind of"" sound and you nailed it, thanks.
went to your site sir, and i dont find any email box in your site for the free guitar loops
I don't know why but both my default sawtooth wavetables on Serum and Vital don't sound the same as in here as soon as the filter is applied. It doesn't sound lush at all!
You can make those sounds with other free alternatives like Helm, Vital and Dexed.
Really informative video keep them coming thanks bro!
Bro you have to make a tutorial on vital ,it's free and almost same as serum .By the way great tutorial👍👍👍
Me who makes it using Harmless in FL:
This sound got especially popular since deadmau5
What is that music playing at last.. That sounds awesome
awesome tutorial man. u got my subscription. thx
I went to the website there wasn't a box to input my email for the loops
PumpitUp: Always been the Coolest sample Sound. Full Tone.
this just helped me kickstart making sounds, thank you lad
Cliiiiickbaiiit
That was a very good lesson. Thank You
Thank you so much for all your videos bro! They helped me a lot :))))
are the guitar loops royalty free for production?
unison,unison,unison MIDI CHOOORD PACKK
Hey can anyone help me actually the thing is that when I'm bouncing the stems for mixing from the project automation is not printing with the stems which are automated in the project but when I'm playing that tracks in my project automation is working fine I'm not able to figure out what is the problem behind this help me.
Don't know which DAW you're using, but have a look in the export dialogue box, is there an option or checkbox to include automation?
You are such an inspiration, keep it up! :)
You will hit 100k subs🔥🔥🖤
Thought Itd maybe be white noise
Alex Rome is my hero
finally one of the first to the video lol! love the content Alex, keep it up! it's all love!
much love!!!
Super to the point. Love it.
thought it was reese bass lol
I love how easy it is to make this sound. Definitely pushes me to experiment more with serum!
This one comes perfect in time :)
Great Rome, appreciate this
20% gang
I wanna say first but there’s no point
ion know how Alex doesn’t have at LEAST 1 mill subs. this guy is so underrated
He should have at least 20% more subs
