Timely topic for me, Kerry Lou! I have those itty bitty white temple hairs that don't seem to grow any longer than a couple of inches and seem to be of an anti-gravity mindset: heading in any direction but down! And eyebrows? Well, I am of the opinion that they have fallen out only to become attached to my chin on their way down to the ground. So your makeup and hair tips are always appreciated by this silver and pearl toned gal! As always, thanks for sharing tips!
OMG I hear that! When I kiss my 3 year old grandaughter, she says "spikey!" Even though I THOUGHT I got those pesky hairs - they just spring out within minutes it seems! 😂
So true. One lady in my building has decided to go natural and she has about 5 chin hairs that are each 2” long. Long silvery hairs growing from her chin! She is smart, gainfully employed, never used to have them and must be able to see them in a mirror. To each his own but I don’t understand it and have tweezers almost always in my hand so I can pluck the twigs at the first sign of re-entry!
I absolutely love your hair colour and those curls are amazing. You are a true beauty and i watch your channel for make up tips etc.. I grew my hair out in lockdown.. Im pretty happy with it and i dont think i would go back to colouring.. Too much maintenance and i cant imagine being any other colour now.. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos so we can all pick up some hints and tips from you.. I turn 63 on 28 October and am learning to embrace my natural grey hair x I am one of your UK viewers.. I think you look a lot like Ingrid Bergman!
Hi Yvonne, thanks so much for your kind words, it's great to hear that my channel is helpful to you! Glad to hear you're enjoying your natural locks! Have a lovely birthday, hope you do something special! 🌸
Hi Kerry-Lou. As a fair complexioned, green eyed gal, I've always thought I looked washed out with my now white hair, so I've started to get a sprinkle of darker grey low-lights added to my hair which has made a huge difference. Love them. Also still using my 'male beard/hair' dye on my eyebrows every couple of months, thanks 😂😊 Hope you're well 🥰
Hi Jenn, I hope people read this, because this is a great point! We accept and love our grey hair, but we can still play and enhance it - just like we do with makeup! This product is a great way for people to play with those low-lights before committing to getting them professionally done. All the best to you Jenn! 💕
So glad I found this comment. I am pure white and have been asking my hairdresser to add low lights in grey. I would love it if you can let me know exactly how you get it added so I can let her know. She seems to be a little intimidated to do it. Thank you for any help you can give.
I embraced my curly hair late in life and finally found freedom. I’ve tried to do the same with going gray. As my black hair has begun showing gray, I have struggled to find products as I try to love it. Thank you for your videos. I’ve learned so much from you and appreciate you more than you will ever know. I love forward to your videos, keep sharing. Blessings over you, Kerry Lou 💕
Thank you so much for your comment, so glad you are enjoying your curls! Thanks also for letting me know that my videos are helpful to you, I was having a frustrating week making a video (lot's of techy issues) and your kind words made a difference to my mood! 🤗
This is my favorite style for you - letting your curls do their thing ☺️. I still struggle with gray shades of eye makeup. It seems I need something closer to a gray-blue near my eyes.
Thank you! I really like it both ways, at this time of year, (Autumn/winter) I can make a blowout last five days, and since I have a frozen shoulder I'm looking hair that I don't have to style every day. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! ☺️
Your brows look great...not too dark to me. You are gorgeous! Thank you for your videos. I am 65 also and learning a few things from you. Have a blessed day and I hope all your little aches and pains are getting better everyday.
Hi Kerry Lou this was wonderful . I will have to try this . I am really enjoying eye brow pencils from a comapny called EYE EMBRACE . They specilize in brow products for silver sisters . Have a wonderful day !
Thank you so much Kerry-Lou. I’m new to your channel and this video was just the most perfect timing. I have ordered the hair line filler in both colours and also the brow duo. Delighted Silvering ship to the UK! I’m loving your videos, they are helping me explore looking my best self as I approach 60 in March. ❤
Glad it was helpful Sally! It's great to take stock and re-evaluate as you turn 60 - it can be a time of transformation, you can reinvent yourself! 🎂 hope you enjoy the Silvering products!
I too have looked and tried many different brow products in search of that perfect gray. So funny how many people and estheticians think that a gray eyebrow makes no sense for gray haired women. They often suggest brown looks better. I'm very excited to try this product! Thank you for the introduction!
I use a little bit of Just for Men beard in the color medium brown on the root of my thin areas. It is not permanent and lasts for a few weeks. It gives the illusion of fuller hair because the hair looks darker. I used the powders before as well.
Hello gorgeous Kerry Lou, believe me my eyes don't go beyond your charismatic smile and your twinkling eyes.. haven't noticed your tooth😅 and yes, that eyebrow video is how I got to know you years back ( iam so grateful for that) iam still waiting for my greys, just got a few( think it's hereditary) planning to go for few silver streaks soon..let's see. I was just thinking from past two days about your videos and voila....here you are... always such a pleasure to see you with new informative videos... take care
Kerry Lou, I got a chuckle out of your eyebrow tint mishap, but truly I don’t think they are too dark at all. Not on camera anyway. I have a few gray eyebrow hairs, so when they start taking over, I’ll know what to do!
My hair was thinning, showing more forehead and pink scalp. "Ugh ... but oh, well, that's aging." Then pandemic hit & I started taking vitamin D3 to boost immunity. Shockingly, my hair loss reversed. Turns out, D3 is vital to the formation of all the hormones regulating our body metabolism. Very happy to have my hair back!
Yes, it's unusual if our hair doesn't thin out somewhat when we age. Just make sure you have a good diet, massage your scalp, a little castor oil in the scalp is good, and do some exercises that have your head facing down, (Not if you have high blood pressure, and only if health allows) The idea is to try to get your blood flow strong!
@@kerrylou3 Thank you for the practical advice, Kerry Lou. You're so quick! I was actually in mid-edit, adding my vitD3 experience. I'm muddling thru the aging process .... you've got it handled! Love your channel and the positive example you are.
That's interesting. I started taking vitamin D supplements at the end of winter as I felt that winter had been long and dark this year, so thought it might be good idea. Then started to notice that not as much hair was coming out on my brush and in the shower. Afterwards, I read that vitamin d could be good for your hair, but wasn't sure if had just been a coincidence. Think it might be a happy accident now 😁👍🏻
Thank you for this Kerry-Lou! ❤ I had back surgery in 2021 that unfortunately came with a lot of nerve pain. I was put on Gabapentin to calm the nerves but it also caused quite a bit of hair loss. I remember every time I washed my hair, each hand had a wad the size of a baseball! It was a bit scary to see in the shower. Since then most of it has filled back in but I still have thinning along my forehead. Like you, I too have naturally curly hair so when it was falling out I kept it a bit short so it looked fuller. I'm now back to shoulder length hair. My brows have always been very thin, inherited from my mother. I use Milani's liquid brow wax first and let it dry. I then use a neutral shade of brown brow mascara to make the brow hairs look a little thicker. They are definitely not twins! Lol! My left brow droops lower than the right so I have to fill it in a bit higher to even them out. 👁 Aging is certainly an adventure! 😀
Yes, it's an adventure alright! 🙄 So sorry to hear of your surgery and pain, I hope you're on the mend now! Yes, so many thiings can cause thinning hair, especially as we age we often have to be on medication that has side effects - I don't like to take medicine, but sometimes... we just have to. I also like a product called Toppik howl.me/ckKv3QjdRfW especially for larger areas of thinning. Thanks for the brow tips! 😘
@@kerrylou3 Hi my products arrived yesterday I really love the warm tone eyebrow duo. Perfect I feel so far. Also I think salt and pepper will be great to add a little dimension to my white hair…I tried it yesterday very lightly and was super pleased Great product!!! So far I am very pleased
I really like this product by silvering beauty. I have been using for nearly Two weeks really stays on and looks great. I have now ordered their hair trio products hoping to get this week.
Thank you for making this video! I am suffering from the same thing, but I dye my hair blonde now so that as the gray comes in, then transition looks more like a frost. I’m enjoying it very much, but I am going to look for some thing similar to what you have so that I can cover up those - dare I say -bald spots!
Glad you liked this - if you have larger areas of thinning, you may want to try Toppik howl.me/ckKv3QjdRfW its a sprinkle in formula, and there are quite a few different colors offered 😉
I love thé Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil in medium brown. It’s delicate so you have to handle carefully, but it’s been very effective for me.
Oh my what a beauty you are! I did check out their website but haven't found any info on the product details? Like how the ingredient list and product development?
Oh Kerry-Lou I've been looking for something for my white, silver hair as I'm letting it grow out from blonde to white and it is thinning . I've been thinking maybe hair extensions but not sure I would like them. I will try the silver beauty borderline. Thanks for the video.
Hi Maureen, thanks for watching - since you are growing out from blonde, L'Oreal has a great root touch up spray, that may be best for you when you want to touch-up roots - it's available in many different shades. The Silvering in white will be good around your white hairline as I used mine, especially when all the blond has grown out. For larger thinning areas, you could try a product called Toppik, which is a sprinkle in product. Good luck, the grow out will get easier! 🌸
Just trying the silvering beauty product, Salt&Pepper was way too dark but the company is replacing it with the white product. I will share how that works as soon as it arrives! thanks much to Kerry-Lou for her inspiration and guidance
Before going gray, when I dyed my hair, I would use dark eye shadow to cover the pesky grays that grew in. Now that I have gray hair and it’s a little thinner, there are eyeshadows in matte shades of gray. Cheaper.
Thanks for the tip - in the past if I was doing makeup and hair on a client I would touch up with eye shadow, but it doesn't "cling" the same, also the pans are not as big as Silvering Borderline. For larger areas, Toppik hair powder works well, can be a little messy to apply though.
You and your hair are absolutely gorgeous. If you don’t mind me asking, have you been a smoker or are you a smoker? I only ask because you have an awful lot of lines above your top lip and that is a classic sign.
I am having trouble growing my brow hairs back for 3 years now and while I see them coming back they are very light in color while most of my head hairs are dark brunette at age 69. I had alopecia areata for nearly a year and it's growing back again with tiny silver hairs but it doesn't seem as thin and fine like before the alopecia. I have been using pura d'or on the hair and brows. Any suggestions? Thanks for your video
