    I ran cat5 cables thru wall all the time, just feed the cat5 cable thru, I have never had any issue with wall up to 8 inches thick.

    It blows my mind that a product like this doesn’t exist.
    They sell those fish sticks to feed cables, but you would have to tape the cable along side the stick. Which would widen the whole thing and sometimes prevents the cables from going through.

    Are you just putting straw directly through wall then inserting cat 6 into end of straw?

      Yea, stops the cable getting stuck in the wall cavity

    What size bit did you use for the cable? And then what sealant would you use after installation. 😀 thanks!

    Im no electrician but cant you just feed it through?

    • @Cablesmith
      @Cablesmith  Год назад +2

      Yea you can but usually mess about for ages because I’ve the cavity gap and the insulation just bending the cable. Something rigid works best

      @@Cablesmith ahh that makes a lot of sense, good thinking

      @@Arcadi4.44 it’s only useful on cables like cat5 etc that are really bendy, flex etc.

      I plan on doing this so I can run a Ethernet cable from my house to a 2nd room I built in the back yard.
