so many similar channels. i watch a lot of them. yours stands out in quality of info and presentation. thank you!
Your videos are always so well explained and straight to the point. As a first time owner I appreciate this help, the pool company wasn’t nyerested in teaching me.
Hey Mark just want to say I just came across your video's and have to say I really enjoy them, it is sure nice to find someone who knows there stuff about pools, I look forward to more videos would like to find one on installing a inground liner, keep up the good work.
Nice and concise, thanks Mark.
I've cleaned my inground vinyl pool for ten years now trying all three kinds and I agree, the brushed head, the first you showed works the best. A lot of the algae and other debris needs a brush to loosen first from the vinyl surface and the roller model doesn't get at that.
I do wish though that there were brushes on the sides for getting into the corners and where the wall meets the floor.
There are brushes that are designed to hit the corners like that. It’s called a 360 brush, but there is no vacuum.
Your tutorial is very much a welcome treat
*Heavy when full*Excellent !! Made mywife very happy !!
2:20 -that’s the vacuums head I’ve been looking for!
@@paulne1514 If you need a vacuum head, email your contact info and l will be glad to help. My email is on my RUclips channel. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Mark 🙏🏽
Can you tell me who makes the wheel vacuum with the pressure relief valves. I need a valve with the extra length of the bristles because my current vacuum had sticks to the bottom of the pool . Thank you
Definitely helpful. thank you
I have a triangular brush head, and the bristles are falling off so I’m looking for a replacement. I was considering a roller head cuz the brush head pushes leave pieces around making me have to lift the vacuum head up and place it over the leaves in order to suck them up, but now I’m not so sure. Maybe a brush is best since I have vinyl. Thanks for your advice.
I need to suck up cloudiness that has settled at the bottom of the pool
Great content
Which head is good for tiles on pool?
For tiles, I would recommend a brush model so that you can clean the grout more thoroughly.
@@HallmarkPoolSupplies will get one and get back with feedback
Should I get use the brush & vacuum tool after or before brushing the walls?
If you use a brush vacuum head when you vacuum you can still brush the pool after, its your choice. Depending on the condition of the pool some will brush the entire pool, let everything settle and then come back later and vacuum.
Great video!!! Can I use the roller head on gunite?
Yes you can, thanks for watching.
Thanks for the sharing, Mark. I just moved in a house with a pool, got a robotic cleaner to help out, do I still need to vaccum the pool on top of the runs from the robotic cleaner?
Its always nice to have manual vacuum equipment on hand.
Hi ,congratulations very interesting video, please let me know what vacuum is good for pools with sand ?
You can use either wheel or brush, I prefer using brush.
I bought the AMC 1 brush model,,1st time use it worked great,,now there little rocks falling out from underneath it`s frustrating they clogged my filter, caused a leak, and took me 2 days to try to get them out by hand all over my underground pool,,,worst I threw out the receipt
I once had tbat first brush model you showed. It got stuck a lot. I like tbe triangular brush model with the brushes throughout. For a vinyl pool, when should you brush only (no vacuum)? Thanks for the videos!
You can brush a pool anytime, especially if you have algae or debris.
Great Mark . Is there any hybrid ones. 😁
I like to brush too. But I have trees and sometimes I need to pick up leaves. And it's hard to pick leaves with the models having brushes.
If you're looking for something as a hybrid, I would recommend the "Leaf Eater". This is a pressure vacuum that hooks up to your garden hose. Great for sucking up leaves and has both wheels and brushes! You can find one here: www.hallmarkpoolsupplies.com/p-17948-ps409thd-deluxe-series.aspx
On my initial setup for this season can I backwash after shocking because my pressure is high or should I still wait 24 hrs?
It's best to wait 24 hours.
Dang.. My pressure was so high I just did it. I figured I would just be losing shock. Did I do any damage?
@@wiicdemon069k8 You are just loosing some of the chemicals.
We use ruler vacuum in cleaning our pool
Good evening sir I working one of the lake type pool how I can easy to Cleaning way?
You can use brush or wheel model vacuums, there is also garden hose or battery vacuums available.
I have a 2” vacuum hose and looking for attachments with 2” connection or a adaptor to 1-1/2”. Do you have any ?
Usually 2" vacuum hoses are used on large commercial pools. Pentiar makes an adapter for their commercial vacuum heads. Here is a link for the vacuum head and the adapter. I cannot say if the adapter will work on your vacuum head.

Hi, I have the exact first vacuum head presented in the video (triangle with brushes). Do you carry the replacement brushes? I did not fint them on your website. Thanks.
We do not carry the brushes, between the shipping and the cost of the brushes you can buy a whole new head for about the same price.
Doheny's does cary replacement brushes
Which of the two brush models do you recommend?
I like the solid blue brush vacuum. There both good, but that is my personal preference.
I agree with the souls one. The brushes are also around the edges of the vac so you can get all the way up against the walls. The other one doesn't have brushes that close to the edges. Plus the weighted vac helps stay on the floor. I've noticed the vac tends to try and lift up off the ground whenever i am pushing or pulling.
👍👌
The problem I see with the brush vac head is that it rises the fine particles that have settled after flocking, Before you know it, the pool is cloudy again. how would you deal with this?
The avoid this, you can try brushing the pool slowly to prevent excessive stir up.
i use flocc ( alum sulfate in my case) only to deeper part of my pool , no need to spread it all over the pool, add bit of granules on top after you put the floc to settle it faster and it will help to prevent to rise up too easily, it works too me, might wanna try
@@HallmarkPoolSupplies Also be sure to vacuum straight to WASTE, do not vacuum into the filter.
Please sir my pool vacuum cleaner is not sucking anymore.
Please what's the problem.
What type of cleaner do you have?
Never thought about the brush vs. roller head. I like killing two birds with one stone. My next head will be brush style. Thanks for the Ahhh haaa moment Mark!
I had a moon shaped one with brushes but the brushes started breaking off immediately.
There are different grades of brushes, the type of chemicals you use also plays a part in the life of the brushes. When you're done cleaning wash or rinse with water this will help. Also store your equipment so that it is not left out in the sun.
Clearly he doesn't like wheels
Yeah, what's with that? It's Wheelist
