Nice job though I was wondering how you were squaring things up since it appeared to be going so fast until the square finally showed up in a scene. Ha ha! Would love to see you add the drawers, too.

Thank you Bryan & Cecilia; you guys are great! I don't have all the nice tools you have, but was able to put together a bench for my Vevor 10" Drill Press with the tools I have and the build plans you demonstrated. I used 2' and 3' feet long pre-cut lumber and a 24" x 48" piece of good 3/4" thick plywood from Home Depot. I used the leftover 24" square plywood piece to make a base for my bench by appropriately cutting off the corners. Looks great, thanks to you two!

Hi guys! This is the first video of y’all’s that I’ve seen this year. Haven’t watched much RUclips the past 3 months because we’ve spent the biggest part of the year with my wife in hospital ICU’s, and most recently in Hospice House. I’m sure I don’t need to explain the outcome of that stay……. This stand is a great project, and one I’m sure you’re reaping the rewards of each time you use the drill press! As far as the casters, I discovered a couple years ago that if I needed casters, I could go to Harbor Freight and buy one of their furniture moving dolly’s (the wood thing with carpet on two ends) cheaper than I could buy 4 casters! So I just buy one and get the casters off of it! And you have 4 boards left for small projects! Now I’ve got to go catch up on your missed videos! God bless y’all!

What a great tip about saving money on casters! So good to hear from you, Tom! We have missed you and are sorry to hear about the difficult season you have been through. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

I've seen a number of shop tool cart designs on YT. I like this one and might actually use it for my drill press which needs to be out of the way more than in the way like it is now. 👍

I goofed up but it turned out better than the original, IMO. I got the sides with the short stringers turned around so that the legs are on the outside and the stringers are on the inside. That made the opening wider, meaning a wider shelf on the bottom and wider drawers, if wanted. The bottom shelf sits on stringers all the way around without the need for cutouts for the legs at the corner. The long stringers are still on the outside, and the overall dimensions stay the same. I also used pocket screws to fasten the top so it can be changed out if there was ever a reason to need that. Thanks again for the idea!

I feel your pain, 2x4's are the bottom of the barrel from a saw mill, even worse from a big box store. Once you start cutting your own from 2x10 or 2x12 (which you can find good ones in the box store) you will never look back.

Thanks for watching. You're right. 2X10s and 2X12s are much better. Happy Woodworking!

Neat! I wouldn't even have known about these types of projects before reading about them in Woody Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible, If I’m not istaken he’s still looking for proof readers.

A warning to use screws of the proper length. I accidentally built the first end with the long stringers instead of the short ones. After the glue had already set up overnight, I was able to break the glue joints very easily by tapping a chisel into the seam after removing the screws, even though I had used plenty of glue. A couple of the joints weren't perfectly mated because those 2x4's are seldom perfectly flat and straight. Some of the joints seemed to be flat and tight, though, but separated easily anyway. I had used 2" screws because that's what I had on hand. I'm going to get some 2-1/4" or 2-1/2" screws for when I put it back together to ensure the joints are good and strong regardless of the glue. (I used Tightbond 1.)
