- [4K] Carnival Haunted Mansion Dark Ride including a walk through of some of the Fun houses that are themed to Minions from Despicable Me and Superheroes like Iron Man. The video ends with a ride on a carnival roller coaster.
Will you guys pay $4 to $6 to ride a haunted dark ride at a Fair? Or do you think it's too much?
Ride and fun houses are between $3 and $6 each.
Rides filmed July 30, 2021 at the summer fair in Arcadia.
Traveling Carnival Fair 2021
I have ALWAYS wanted to buy one of those traveling 2 story carnival haunted houses...and fix it majorly...completely black out all the light leaks , add background music and ambience , slow it down some! and add a TON of themeing and quality props...make it actually scary
Sounds like a genius idea to me!!
Do it! Will be fun, but barter a good price--do your homework on these contraptions.
I'd love it. I think my personal challenge for myself would be to build a good Mr Toad knockoff. I tend to view Mr Toad as the best artistic approach to the flats styled cheap darkride.
Nos estamos dando cuenta de que
De verdad es cierto que nos gusta mucho el mundo
I have always had that same idea.
The thing that always scared me about these rides was never the animatronic puppets but the possibility that some psycho could jump out of his cart during the ride and hide out in there in the dark and wait for you. You just never know.
I should of never read this
I bet people actually do this
For me it was the aesthetic of the scary stuff
We have actors inside these in the UK and they jump on the back of the cart, Very scary as they touch your hair with something.
what
Pathetic ghost rides and fun houses. Waste of money. Best thing is the Artwork and decoration on the outside. Rollercoaster looked fun. Thanks for filming
That's why you get the bracelet. ;)
For real, the least amount of effort I’ve seen put into fair rides and attractions.
You're calling this pathetic?? The ghost train at the California State Fair is literally just a black box with light seeping in from outside. It's basically an oven because it's completely metal. This is pretty cool for a traveling ride.
Pathetic
You are totally missing the point
These kind of carnival rides and attractions have a certain charm to them and are worth going through at least once especially if you have children. 🙂👍🏻
I remember a dark ride as a kid that would stop each car just inside the entrance doors. One would sit stopped in the dark until another car was dispatched. This creates the illusion to viewers outside that the ride was way longer than it was in reality. We would always look behind the facade after that to see how big the ride really was.
These amusement attractions are kuplut kaplut gone gone gone good ridence but ther still kind little fun that you had when you were young ❤❤❤😅😮😊😢😂😂
4:45
Scarier than any horror attraction.
Almost shit my pants on that one
the minions scared me more than any scary ride
This is what childhood entertainment before iPhones was like.
That ghost Train looked so bad 😭🤣
It's actually a hell of a lot better than most versions of this particular ride details wise
Looking at the great artwork and decorations outside and imagining what the ride is like is sometimes more fun than the actual ride itself. Thanks for the ride-thrus!
I have a bit of a soft spot for the old haunted house dark rides, and that second one could use a lot of tlc, but I still love it. They just have an air of nostalgia to them.
You beat me to it. That’s exactly how I feel. It brings you back to the memories you had as a kid when your imagination was at its peak and you were easily entertained. People need to understand the Disneylands’ and the Knotts Berry Farms’ and the Universal Studios’ aren’t near everyone and for some people these fairs and these type of attractions were all they had and they were perfectly fine with it.
I'm just happy the fairs are coming back!
The Ghost ride was actually THE PERFECT Balance of Buildup and Jumpscare - You see, in a ghost ride, you need silence but build up the jumpscare, Yes it's a few, but, it's better then CONSTANTLY ringing bells, alarms and whistles just to get a scare. No. That ride is to just ruin your ears. Your gonna NEED the silence to bring in the jumpscare out.
So much nostalgia, absolutely love it! Thanks for the upload 👍
That first Dark Ride was actually pretty decent for fair standards
That first one makes the "Chamber of Farts" so relatable.
I absolutely love hokey carnival dark rides like these! The cheesier, the better!!!
The Haunted Mansion ride looks quite nice for this small space. Some effects didn´t work, but all in all it looks good.
The walkthroughs look ok, but nothing more. ^^
I love these kinds of rides and this is some of the best footage I've seen! Thanks!
The carnival haunted houses are really just mainly for children in my opinion, it’s supposed to scare people but they can’t exactly scare a grown adult that well unless that person is very skiddish. Even the carts are super small
I really loved the fair , the dark rides and fun houses were awesome . The roller coaster looked great too , awesome vlog guys 🤗🤗🤩🤩
This looks so nostalgic... Reminds me of the funfair in the early 2000s
Rollercoaster bout the onlything that looked Terrifying.. not because of the ride itself but because carnival rides are meant to be portable and you never know how well they are put together.
Thats actually a cool coaster for a fair. I mean at least its something else than a Wild mouse.
That was a pretty impressive Haunted Mansion dark ride! Usually there very old and most of the props barely move or sound off. This one was painted really well and had cool lighting.
Really? Even if it was just a one minute ride?
Yeah, you're totally right! This one is super well done up comaried to most of the Haunted Mansion portables that you seem to see everywhere, I'm actually impressed. Could use more actual animatronics tho.
Yes, it was absolutely worth it.
How could you possibly hate such frightening
darklight and neon colors?
Omg UR PFP! I remember watching that episode of scooby doo and being terrified by that monster 😂
@@arinewstoday3477 Oh, cool, thanks for appreciating it.
@@thedevilgoose2482 good memories
Wow very nostaglic. I thought these types of rides were extinct. I remember loving this stuff when I was in first grade and the funhouses and tiny darkride came through town. Back then it was flats instead of those screens but I think the screens might actually be more functional and help the ride make ever so slightly more sense.
While I can't say I'm amazed or would really spend much on these new part of me is happy seeing that Minions one which was the exact same layout as what I grew up with just painted with newer toons. I kinda figured the maintenance on tiny darkrides made them vanish and lawyers might've attacked these funhouses. As I got older I just noticed my town stopped having the darkride deal as an offering.
Now all I need to see is that old motion sim deal that only leans backwards and had an alien land down with your ship at the end lol.
This is actually one of the better rides of these Haunted Mansion fair rides. There are many different versions and variations of theme which you can also find on youtube. This one is far more detailed while the others just have most or all the props and effects not working.
Terrifying!
(Not the haunted house one… I meant the idea of riding a coaster you know was just unloaded off a flatbed and bolted together by carnies that weekend.)
Hahah
Great video loved the dark zombie themed fun house would be better tho if it had a few zombie scare actors
This brought back repressed memories of when we had a haunted house in our school gym with black light and everything.
Yes they bring back childhood memories!
The Haunted Mansion was back at the State Fair this year. I just went thru yesterday (8/13/22) and none of the blacklights or animatronics were working. It was pitch black, and I only saw a total of 5 elements. I don't really expect much from dark rides, but man, that was really not good, especially for $5 a head.
In my opinion this is one of the better dark rides I’ve seen. Still bad but at least somewhat enjoyable. Maybe if they turned it into a boo blaster/ shooting dark ride it could turn out to be pretty good.
That's definitely not the stock artwork that those Owens dark rides come with. Whoever did that airbrushing is one of hell of an artist!
Pretty good shape all in all. I've been in some where none of the lights or scares even remotely work. But still had fun if just because among a handful of local amusement parks there's but a single dark ride.
I agree wholeheartedly
Best part is the 10+ degree change in temperature as these aren’t air conditioned
I think that House of the Dead walkthrough is actually a refurbished/rethemed Funni-Frite haunt! Very rare to see. Sadly it seems to be not in very good shape as all the stuff that was clearly meant to jump out at you wasn't working, unless it was disabled. Still very cool to see, the paint work on that and this iteration of the Haunted Mansion are excellent.
yeah I miss the days of the state fair carnival rides... between the hand-drawn artwork like in the first one or the blatant copyright infringement of the others, there's nothing like it, lol!
I love the cheesy dark rides and haunted walk throughs....if the scares and/or effects actually work that is lol.
Can't wait to ride again. Hope this panemic be over soon..🙏🙏🙏
Yo felipe
This is really a sampling of some attractions I want to go to!
attraction 1 must total dark
attraction rest = nice
No matter how cheesy or small it is . It'll always be worth it . 😎
Me and my cousins went in this not knowing what to expect and they are young and my gosh 🤦🏼♀️ we were screaming at the tops of our lungs. My grandma took us and she said that all she heard was us screaming 🤣😂
I remember going on this ride when I was 7. It was that much scary. But it felt very short I didn’t much like the jump scares tho..
These have a great deal of continuity with the past....they make me laugh and are fun when your small.... 🧟♂️👹🧟♂️👹🧟♂️👹🧟♂️👹🧟♂️👹🧟♂️👹🧟♂️
I LOVE HAUNTED HOUSES AND GHOST TRAINS! ❤❤❤❤
That haunted house was beautiful albeit a little too light inside- looked pretty new
Welcome to the Unfair........I want my money back
Very Beautiful 👍👍
Yeesh... Just for the fact that they're slightly hazardous, the Minions and superhero funhouses have more potential for being scary than the haunted houses.
Maybe it's just me but most of these haunted houses aren't that scary. Some look to be too well lit. A lot of physical effects and imaginative lighting would help.
Why does the haunted house ride exist?
Ok I have been on some of these that were 99% nothing and empty on the inside
This was actually a good one
1:10 That gave me a heart attack!
I'll have you know that this inspires sheer terror if you're about 6 years old.
I'm always a sucker for the dark rides, but I'm always disappointed afterwards.
Happy to see the fairs are back but come on y'all at least have your animatronics and props working 😒 that coaster looked like it could hold a 5 year old at best I would not test my luck on there lol
That's no goddamn haunted house. It's got wheels on it. It drives around; the ghosts would come right out.
someone should mix one of these with a oculus quest 2. just dont use the guardian mode and make something simple in the half life alyx modders tools. events can be made virtually with a IO card, you can add fans and AC/heaters to the mix.
Welcome to the haunted mansion ride
Dc and marvel finally come together for one awesome movie
My expressions after watching this video -> 😅😅😅😅😅
I always closed my eyes as a child finally had them opened it's lame but fun. At the same time
Well when you compare them to Tiana’s bayou adventure there 100% worth it.
come to Italy to see Gardaland the most beautiful park in Italy
Been there once years ago. Was quite impressed. Loved the pyramid attraction most
I know this parc I was there when I was leaving in Italy I don’t remember how many times I have been there I bought the dragon stuffed toy
These dark rides are kuplut kaplut dead as dead will ever be but still is a part of your childhood hold the memory of this special time in your life when even the simple things were all that you had and loved 😂❤❤❤🎉🎉😅😊😮
This Kind A Like Barry's portrush ghost train From Barry's Port rush!
Man, I wish I had the ride in my backyard.
Cute kiddie rides.
Beautiful carts
Me and my friend went on this ride last year I ducked down in the car and everyone I hear something I screamed and my friend couldent lay down he was a trooper
The 2 first was full SCAM xD
The mood in this House of Dead at 3:08 is so peaceful I could stay there and medidate.
It’s so quiet in that attraction
In house of the dead I don’t hear 1:10 screaming
Because in that attraction it’s so peace and quiet in there
Even carnival dark rides got screens
If they would upkeep those funhouses they would be worth it. But it looks like they prefer the ghetto-look.
SCARY!!!
If you're going to put in the investment to buy a carnival attraction...why not put in the effort? I've been more entertained at Walmart than some of those dark rides/haunts. Scrap the cheesey (and outrageously over priced tickets), and get maybe something actually fun? "Fun house" doesn't mean what it used to. Try a small interactive art exhibit, magic show, fortune teller, anything to make kids smile and adults feel like their money hasn't been wasted.
Coming from a professional entertainer and entrepreneur, and fair/park enthusiast~
Definitely worth the 6 tickets.
The ride video isn’t complete until you add in the inevitable tetanus shot afterwards.
I used to love these little pop up carnivals as a kid but everyone of these is identical and overpriced for pretty underwhelming attractions.
1:13 that thing scared me 💀💀💀
0:00 Haunted Mansion.
Everytime I ride of these scary I always close my eyes
I rode a version of that Haunted Mansion at the 2005 California State Fair. That one had all black walls and The first "stunt " was the old reliable Electric Chair...😎
I'm not very impressed, but neat ride. Maybe I'd be more impressed if I was like 10 and not 43
Beach party one was hopefully free. What in the world was that
I saw this one too but I didn’t go on it because it looks.. it just looks
U dont ride those rides to get scared u ride them in hopes ur girl is scared n will put her arms around u 😁
Some of those childrens ones look like death traps.
Well they aren't remotely spooky, or much fun, but they are classic staples.
Its was so fun 👽
Is this the state fair cause I want to see 👀 stuff of state fair
The first rollercoaster just relied on ipad like things to scare people
Kind of a neat effect at 4:22. On camera it looked like sparks flying.
fantastic land
That is the most LAME 'haunted' ride I've ever seen 🥱
Wow man Crazy
Some are worth it
i want to make one of these haunted house rides into a pub ., board cost you one pass . comes with one drink .. and then the cart exits the ride to the indoor pub , to exit board the cart the next person exited .
it only serves draft beer
What state fair was this at
