Thank you so much for your content. Straight forward, real world advice that resulted in me purchasing a COSORI Air Fryer Lite during Amazon Prime day. I’m loving it, and it’s providing a lot of utility in the kitchen. As a family we all eat different things, different amounts, and at different times, and an air fryer allows so much flexibility. Thanks again!!
Hello from USA. I can't understand why it has taken me so long to get one of these. I have watched many videos in last 30 minutes and you had a lot of helpful information in a short amount of time. I like to do research before making a purchase and you gave me some things I need to consider that I hadn't thought of. I have a degree in Electronics, so I appreciate the tech talk. For the question of power usage, folks could look up the specs and it should be listed there. Thanks for a great video!
I’m also the person who researches every purchase obsessively, it drives my husband mad, I guess that is how I ended up doing this. Thank you for the comment, always nice to know a little bit about who is watching!
Gosh, I never thought it would be this difficult to find an air fryer. I watched this video a few weeks ago and thought this is gonna be easy. First, I ordered a 10qt ninja dual baskets, it came in and I thought this thing is kinda big. Opened the package and turned out it was used so I returned it. The second one I bought was a Chefman 8qt single basket, my wife like the stainless steel look of it but I hate that the fan makes rattling noise and it doesn't have any other features, only air fry which I never thought that I would want all other features like bakes, broil, etc. I was kinda tired shopping around so I said ok, I will just buy this $35 Gourmi from Walmart (black Friday deal from $85), with additional $4 for the 2 yrs warranty, it comes with every features that I want. Well, it's cheap but I didn't think that it looks that bad but my wife the first time seeing it she said "I don't like this, it looks cheap" and so there you go, I had to return it back to Walmart this morning. I don't know what to do now lol
Oh no! It sounds like you got very unlucky with the Ninja, it may have been rthe retailers fault rather than the manufacturers, would it be worth trying again?
Great channel and videos. We've had our ninja foodie a while now, and recently started using more than just to air fry, which is great, but soon realised another air fryer was needed, so a £60 Pifco dual zone air fryer from Home Bargains fitted the bill nicely, so we have options now. Definitely recommended shopping around to find what's best for you.. our oven is rarely used now!
So pleased to have found your videos! Straightforward, detailed, and very well presented - just what I needed! As an air fryer newbie, the information you've shared has really helped me make a decision based on the features I'm most likely to use. Thank you, you have a very grateful new subscriber! :)
It’s a house, the voltage will be 120. You can walk into an unoccupied brand new house and the plugs will read anywhere from 116-124. There’s a 3% gap for voltage allowed in the NEC, so this is completely normal and is considered 120 volts either way. When you raise the heat on the air fryer you’d raise the amps as well as the watts. Ohms law says volts x amps = watts, and we know the voltage has to be 120 as it’s a general appliance circuit in a kitchen. Be careful what you run at the same time on your kitchen plugs, if the air fryer specs 1750 watts and you have it turned all the way up, you’re pushing 14.5 amps through that 20 amp circuit with the fryer alone. And I’m assuming yalls homes are wired in 12 gauge, and I know many older homes have 14 gauge which is good for 15 amps. 14.5/15 is cutting it very close. Just a thought for yall.
@ Ahhh that's interesting, My comment stands true in the USA. Yall do some different things there when it comes to electricity, I believe yalls code allows voltage to vary more than 3% and yalls hertz are different? Hi! Thanks for making these super handy videos in which you show real life cooking examples! I'm looking into buying a new airfryer, and would like to find 'healthy' models that don't use PFOAS in the anti-stick layers. Do you have any idea which manufacturers offer this, except GreenPan? Thanks a lot.
You are not the first to ask this, but you are the first to ask without ranting at me which is appreciated! 😆 There’s clearly a demand for them so I will do some research. Thanks for the comment
Hi @CandidClara 👋 I have been trying to get my head around the whole air fryer market for the last few days and your videos have been invaluable (and by far the best) I have found. I am stuck in going back and forth between the Cosori dual basket & Ninja AF400 and have been one click away from ordering both several times now. The Cosori sounds like it would right, including things that mostly make sense to me, like not being quite as loud in use and the horrible beeps (I am quite sound sensitive, but would be able to live with them). The Ninja keeps popping up in every test and comparison and when the Cosori is even mentioned, it is always with a caveat - timers not working properly, uneven cooking times, being underpowered etc. The Ninja feels like the safer choice for that reason and will only cost me about €10-15 pounds more (I'm in Denmark/EU). I am way overthinking this smaller purchase lol. Anyway - my question is the same no matter which air fryer I end up picking (unless there are differences in how they operate). I just saw someone in another channel warning her viewers that one should never have cupboards/cabinets above the unit because of the condensation/heat, which I never even thought of as a problem as long as you had some separation or clearance. My kitchen is on one wall only - although it is quite long - and with cupboards running all the way above the counter. The counter isn't terribly deep either, so the air fryer unit can't be pulled all the way out if I want to be able to put the drawers down in front for loading/stirring etc. The depth of the counter is 60 cm and the cabinets start 53 cm above the counter and are 35 cm deep so there is about a 20 cm gap on top of the unit. What is your opinion/experience on this? I am at a loss for other placements, except for perhaps a specific table/trolley for the fryer, so I am really hoping that it can work in my setup. Thanks in advance! I really enjoy your content :)
Hello! Firstly I'm glad to meet someone else who overthinks every purchase, you are among friends! Lots of answers for you.... To begin you won't go wrong with either Ninja or Cosori, both are excellent. Cosori advise that you need to leave at least 13cm / 5 inches of clearance behind and above the dual basket, Ninja do not specify any measurements or in fact the need to leave any clearance! Both appliances have a fender at the back which stops you from having the hot air outlet hard up against the wall anyway. Clearance above is for air intake, so just apply common sense. The Cosori is my regular air fryer and I refute the underpowered claim, I test new ones all the time and underpowered models are definitely out there, but this model isn't one. I made this video to try and lay that particular ghost to rest! ruclips.net/video/VioahgCv0SY/видео.html As for timers, I believe what they are referring to is that if you run preheat on one drawer and try and use sync finish that messes up the timings, so...just don't run preheat! Hope all that helps.
@@CandidClara Thank you so much for your reply and setting things straight! :) Glad to know that I am not alone in my overthinking lol. Would that distance (13 cm+) be enough to eliminate condensation as well? I should have almost 20 cm from the top of the appliance to my cabinets in my setup. I already watched the other video (I think I have watched all of yours involving air fryers) and that certainly set my mind at ease, especially since preheating doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose most of the time. Really appreciate how thorough you are with every product and how much care you put into your delivery.
If it makes you feel any better, I couldn't choose between black and white AF400 so I bought both to put in situ and decide. Guess what, I still couldn't decide so I opted for the black thinking it would be the most practical.now I'm looking at reviews of all the other brands and considering going back to square one! Over thinking on another level! 😂
@@clairespiers1119 The white AF400 is SO good looking I feel. I never saw it priced anywhere near the standard version though. I ended up getting the Cosori Turbo Blaze after all. I felt that the extra room was more important than 2 baskets and the much smaller footprint fits my small'ish kitchen better. I have had it for 1½ weeks now and couldn't recommend it enough (even if it is mostly for car enthusiasts according to @CandidClara :D). Thank you so much for your feedback! Glad to know that I am not alone in being so fickle with this ;)
Unlike most people that seem to use an air fryer for fries and nuggets, I am wanting one for cooking a whole chicken and the primary concern that I have is the depth of the basket because of the chicken being near the element and burning. Could you please recommend an air fryer that has a deep basket, so this does not happen.
Hi Dennis, height is not actually as much of an issue as you might think as I now break the breast bone of all my chickens. It only takes a second (you literally just place some pressure on the heighest part of the bird) and this makes them lie flatter. Ever since I started doing that I haven't encountered a drawer where height has been an issue
Hey so confused, please tell me which one I should buy, Ninja food max dual zone or cosori twin blaze or COSORI Smart Air Fryer TwinFry,grandzone Thanks
Hi Clara thank you for these helpful reviews. Can I just ask what makes the cosori your favourite dual drawer? Also if bought on amazon, presumably it comes with the same manufacturer warranty so same after sales service as if buying through high street store?
I’m actually releasing a video on Wednesday which will answer this more fully, the video compares the Philips, Ninja and Cosori, but it’s mostly down to extra features and a better shape basket. Everywhere you purchase will get you the standard two year warranty except if you buy from Lakeland who offer their own 3 year guarantee
Argh! We ordered a new air fryer yesterday just a couple of hours before this vid dropped! ;) Actually we’re ‘upsizing’ from a Ninja single-drawer. We were going to go for the Ninja dual-drawer (AF400UK), but in the end have gone for the Breville VDF130, after extensive research (including from you Clara) - it feels like a bit of a punt as it’s a new model with few reviews out there so far, but it looks like it could be the best of all worlds - 2 single (“French door”?) windowed compartments that take racks/shelves but also drawers, and can also combine into one big compartment. The UI looks decent, noting the failures of several others eg as you say no end-of-cooking alert, etc. Hopefully we’ve chosen wisely!
@@CandidClara Yes, it would be interesting to know what you think of it, as your knowledge & experience of these things is considerably greater than mine! :)
So difficult to choose between all the different types/sizes and brands. Especially as a first time buyer. I got the Ninja af400 in January and even though I just cook for myself I sometimes wish for a bigger drawer so I just got the af180. Here in Denmark it's cheaper than the Cosori Turbo Blaze which I also considered. The dual drawer from Philips looks interesting to me as the small drawer can be used to heat up a couple of spring rolls or falafels and the big drawer is pretty big. Or maybe it isn't? I don't know if the stated size is the outer drawer or the inner? It looks like there's a big gap between them.
The ninja multi cooker I’ve had 2 years and all of a sudden has stopped working. Ninja have confirmed it’s a fault and not repairable and as out of warranty won’t replace. Amazing product but as many reviews state it stops working after 1-2years. Seems silly to buy it again for the same issue to happen. Now unsure which brand to go for as Ninja customer service has been terrible ! Please help
That is very disappointing. I have Two suggestions for you, but I do mention them in the video, if you buy any appliance (even Ninja) from Lakeland it comes with an automatic 3 year guarantee (no need to register after purchase) and Tefal have a repairability promise which means they should be able to keep your air fryer running for 10 years. I mention in my review of the Tefal dual drawer that I found it underpowered, but it’s the one my mum has and she loves it and has not swapped it despite ample opportunities to do so with the amount of air fryers that pass through my hands!
I really like these three Top AIR FRYER Brands Compared: Ninja V Cosori V Philips ruclips.net/video/qSOXh0MNf2o/видео.html BUT I’m reviewing the Philips 5000 series in a couple of weeks and that may beat them all!
I fancy this one, as I like the idea of one larger draw and one smaller. that way I could put a whole large chicken in with plenty of room for air to get around . but I can't seem to find many reviews, I wonder what you would make of this? Philips 3000 Series NA352/00 Rapid Air Technology Dual Basket Air Fryer, 9L.
Good morning Clara, love the channel so great info.I am new to the world of air frying and have yet to buy my first air fryer.I have done some reading but i'm not yet ready to throw big money at an air fryer in case i don't use it much so i would like to ask your advice on a cheaper model you would recommend ideally a dual drawer fryer?
Sorry for the late reply! If you go cheap on a dual drawer you may regret it, so I would advise you buy a Ninja or Cosori single drawer which will always sell well second hand if you do decide to upgrade. This is 48% off at the moment amzn.to/3V5vwyQ and is excellent and at the time of posting this there are two returned ones (new condition, but open box) being resold by Amazon even more discounted
Hey Clara. Your videos on air fryers rock. I'm considering the COSORI Turboblaze you recommended but Amazon doesn't have it. Yet there's models offered on Amazon COSORI doesn't have on their site, like the 9-in-1 6qt. I take it these are Amazon only models. Is it as good?
It's not the best appliance for the job because the overhead heat will dry out the stew, you really want a multicooker like this ruclips.net/video/Ur7annLUJTc/видео.html this ruclips.net/video/23Ub9tshfBQ/видео.html or this ruclips.net/video/MF0XA034byg/видео.html These models all have heat from above and below, so the slow cooker function will cook from below which avoids the stew drying out. Hope that helps!
@@CandidClara Hey Clara, thank you so much for your reply and suggestions. I will watch your videos now and see what I learn. It can be confusing because there is so many variables and options available.
I had my eye on a Ninja 7.6L AF300UK but recently discovered a Daewoo 4.5L dual draw model which is considerably cheaper - cannot find any reviews on this one though. Decisions, decisions....
Here Top AIR FRYER Brands Compared: Ninja V Cosori V Philips ruclips.net/video/qSOXh0MNf2o/видео.html and here Philips 3000 Series Rapid Air Technology Air Fryer Review NA351/00 ruclips.net/video/IJwWn8UZU34/видео.html
Just to let you know, after 6 months of average use my Cosori started making a load noise from the left basket and then the right side followed with the same sound. I would not recommend. I have just returned to Amazon.
It’s covered under warranty for two years so you will get a replacement or refund. Sometimes faults do occur which is why checking warranties is so important before buying
I've got the 15 in 1 Ninja. Do not buy one! After about 12-18 months they display 'plug in error' and become useless. It's because of a design issue Ninja refuse to acknowledge that causes the cable that goes through the lid to break and causes the error. If it's out of warranty you have to fix it yourself or throw the whole thing away. Search online and you'll find a lot of unhappy customers discussing it.
I agree, @SomeoneRandom-o8d. I've had two dual drawer models now and nothing but trouble. Ninja have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They take days to reply to emails and then apologise for the delay, putting it down to "an unusually large amount of emails". That tells you a lot about how shabby their products are if they're inundated with emails. Avoid or it'll cost you!
My wife and I are finding it hard to decide on which Air fryer to buy. The main things we’re looking for are dual basket, easy to clean and some of those features like sync, etc. Based on your videos I’m leaning towards a Cosori but my wife is concerned that she doesn’t see them mentioned as much as ninja (while doing a quick google search) and the quality of the product won’t be the same as a ninja. I’m not 100% sure if this is the case but looking for some more guidance… help!
Did you see this video, I think it might answer some of your questions/concerns. ruclips.net/video/qSOXh0MNf2o/видео.html Cosori and Ninja are the market leaders and their build quality is equal, but also consider Philips (who I mention in the video) also excellent quality. I hope that helps!
@ I did thanks. After my comment we sat down and watched a number of your videos and we made a decision! Woohoo! Cosori 10L is the winner for us! Thanks
my advise, dont buy a drwer air fryer with the tray inside, you will throw some thing in there and tip them on to yort plate only to find a puddle of grease because someone fried some bacon and never cleaned up after them, get the type with the removable bucket onside a drawer,
@@CandidClara people are lazy. they are not going to use tongs to pick out 20 or so individual items when they can tip the drawer, l have seen countless cooks on you tube tip draws rather than use tongs and the tray falls out
Thanks for this presentation, I do not have a dish washer, I understand basins can be cleaned in sink, not a problem. But in and around the fans/elements are they easy and straightforward to clean?? Never had an air fryer before. If I take the plunge I would choose either of the duel draw Cosori or Ninja air fryers. Also what is the shelf life of these equipments And do I need any additional equipment? Perhaps you have a video explaining this to a 70 yr old dummy like myself.😊
First of all, you are definitely not a dummy and you are exactly the kind of person I hope to help! Don’t rush to buy accessories, you may need any, remember all oven-safe dishes are good in an air fryer too! As far as cleaning the element, most manufacturers tell you not to touch the element itself as most things will burn off it, some people clean the bit behind, but I would say, have you ever cleaned behind the element in your normal oven?!
@@CandidClara I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude but I honestly hope someone can answer the question. I wouldn’t want to see something on your channel that I don’t have access to on this side of the ocean. Plus I’m only a dumb American, not smart enough to convert measurements from the metric system in my head
Celsius….used in science and the majority of countries in the world. If only there was some easy way to convert C to F. Some kind of easy handheld device. Something you could carry in your pocket. If only it existed.
@@haroldbernard3505 Hahaha. Could you convert -40 Celsius to Fahrenheit for me. Lol. It’s just that viewers are lazy and used of people providing it in the video.
Glad to know that I am not alone in being so fickle with this ;)
Would be very interesting to see how Xiaomi Mi Smart Airfryer 6.5L model show itself in comparison with those.
Very nice videos! c:
Interesting looking air fryer! I have added that one to the list.
@@CandidClara Thanks very much for your advice. Much appreciated.
Hey so confused, please tell me which one I should buy, Ninja food max dual zone or cosori twin blaze or COSORI Smart Air Fryer TwinFry,grandzone Thanks
Any of those will be great, so go with whichever is calling to you!
Argh! We ordered a new air fryer yesterday just a couple of hours before this vid dropped! ;)
Actually we’re ‘upsizing’ from a Ninja single-drawer.
I’m sure it will be great, I must look it up!
Have you heard about the consori air fryers blowing up in the USA?
They were recalled last year yes, but then many appliances are, didn’t effect the UK models though
Hi i heard that we must not buy copper or steel for health purposes how far true is that we must buy glass it doesn't have toxins. Pls advice
Lots of people have different opinions on this and I usually try and stay out of the argument. People also have strong opinions about oil types!
So if space/cost etc are not an issue. What would be your number one pick?
I really like these three Top AIR FRYER Brands Compared: Ninja V Cosori V Philips
ruclips.net/video/qSOXh0MNf2o/видео.html BUT I’m reviewing the Philips 5000 series in a couple of weeks and that may beat them all!
I haven’t tested that one yet, but I shall add it to the list! Suggestions are always welcome
Hi Michael, are you in the US? I think the product names may be slightly different
Great video! I'm wondering if the turbo blaze can slow cook a stew. You mentioned this is possible in another video of the larger Cosori.
Absolutely! So many different models, I’m not going to run out of ones to talk about any time soon! 😆😆
I had my eye on a Ninja 7.6L AF300UK but recently discovered a Daewoo 4.5L dual draw model which is considerably cheaper - cannot find any reviews on this one though. Decisions, decisions....
I wish I could help, but I haven’t done any Dario yet I’m afraid
Philips ??
I hadn't reviewed Philips at the time i made that video, but I have now

Tower offer a 1 yr + a further 2yr when you register your device online
That’s good, but unfortunately most people forget to register their appliances, Lakeland’s three year guarantee does not require you to register

No go for the ones with non-stick coating... 100% stainless steel are the ones to go
I am planning a video about airfryers which are free of non-stick coatings, which ones would you suggest I look at?
My sister gonna give me one soon don't know if want it or not😒
Which one?
I've got the 15 in 1 Ninja. Do not buy one! After about 12-18 months they display 'plug in error' and become useless. It's because of a design issue Ninja refuse to acknowledge that causes the cable that goes through the lid to break and causes the error. If it's out of warranty you have to fix it yourself or throw the whole thing away. Search online and you'll find a lot of unhappy customers discussing it.
Sorry to hear this, but this is why everyone SHOULD register for the two year warranty within 28 days of purchase
You have standard 2 years with electrical goods. Sounds like a waste of money.
Thanks
Have fun, you won’t look back!
my advise, dont buy a drwer air fryer with the tray inside, you will throw some thing in there and tip them on to yort plate only to find a puddle of grease because someone fried some bacon and never cleaned up after them, get the type with the removable bucket onside a drawer,
Or use tongs
It's wattage not voltage
Look again at 5:03!
Ninja with the weakest service offering it looks like based on Warranty and repairability.
Ninja’s customer service is excellent, they have great technology and they have a call centre
Does RUclips have a setting for showing me results from just my home country? What do I care about air fryers in the UK?
Thanks for your comment which does in fact help ensure more people see this video 🤷♀️
@@CandidClara I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude but I honestly hope someone can answer the question. I wouldn’t want to see something on your channel that I don’t have access to on this side of the ocean. Ninja customer service is really bad, it is why I avoid this brand like a plague
I disgaree, I've dealt with tghem a couple of times and they've been great and they have the best technology
Does my wife fit in?
An air fryer? I doubt it 🤔
I thumbs down your video because Celsius means nothing to me
Sounds like a you problem. This is a UK channel.
