I find that this camera is ideal for shooting ambitious short films,
especially since it can film in 4k
therefore we can film dramatic comedy in order to have a clearer image than in HD, HD or full HD would be more for fiction and action to have more detailed movement
Very nice video, a pitty the YT compression sucks! If i was the creative producer at Sony and would have to make a promo movie, i would do it in 4k! ..:)
Hey Etienne - The promo reel was shot in 4K if you haven't checked that out yet. We opted for 1080p for the BTS but will consider having everything in 4K next time ;-)

Hey Marc - Good eyes. It was a mix of lenses on the shoot including those you've mentioned plus some Sony Zeiss and Sony G lenses too.

Even more with this Sony camera. It is not just another camera. You have to use it to know and understand how good it is.
Really like the BTS video... but why are they saying there's a lot of dynamic range during sunset shot with scattered clouds @5:45? It usually reduces contrast.
what were the settings used in camera like picture profile etc

Hi, what kind of drone were you using that was able to fly the FX6
Hey @greymyersphotography It was a custom FPV drone, small and light enough with speeds of up to 120km/h
There is the right tool for the job for sure.
FX6 is a great camera, but A73 is also a kick-ass camera with a similar sensor... different tools equally good for the right jobs.
How did you guys get the v lock batteries to work with the fx6?
Hey Amy, We weren't using the V lock batteries to power the camera, it was powering all the other devices around the rig ( Monitor, Wireless feed)

My FX6 is on order. I am hoping it arrives before Santa Claus. Using with the 28-135 and adapted to some old Sony glass. Can’t afford or justify the gorgeous new Cine Zoom ($8,000?).

Was the sony fx6 able to clear the RS2 and not hit the handle when going to interverted mode?
Hi LT Productions - From our recollection when the camera was stripped back (handle and grip removed etc.) the FX6 did not hit the handle of the RS2.
But perhaps best to check it out at your local camera store once it hits shelves in December. Hope this helps for now.

Flare control or the DP used other filters like promist or glimmerglass

Hey Mr Clarky - From recollection it was the FX6. If not, it would have been Alpha 7S III.
When it’s attached to the drone, how do you monitor the footage during the flight?
Through the FPV goggles that come with the drone.

The promo was 4k, this bts was 1080 on purpose.
Love the performance of that camera, I will buy an FS5 but my dream will be upgrading soon the the FX6.
In these video Production says; “we don’t look cool if we use mask during a global pandemic in the BTS video” they bring the moral theme in the video but they really don’t care.
COVID hasn’t effected Australia/New Zealand like the rest of the world.
Will have to get a second hand FS5. They have been discontinued. Sony have been out of stock for a while. The FX6, is actually very close in price to the FS5 ii after Sony’s last price increase.

So in Australia you don't wear masks? Here in EU we are fined if we don't wear masks everywhere anytime....
We're mostly covid free, social distancing is obviously recommended but everything is essentially open (hence why a bunch of hollywood and netflix series are actually being shot in Australia).
In the state of Victoria, masks were mandatory until 22 November. As of 30 November, there have been no covid cases for 30 days straight. But in order to achieve this amazing result, the state of Victoria was in a 4 month lockdown with strict rules about gatherings, reasons to leave home, permitted distance one could leave home, etc. Since 0 cases the rules have been modified and lifted (masks are still mandatory indoors but not outdoors). In many other states, there were zero covid cases, so mask rules were not mandatory and people were able to work and move about more freely. I suspect this video was filmed in one of those other Australian states that had zero or very low cases.

In Australia we have a government made up up of mostly adults. It's amazing what sensible/responsible people can achieve.
Unlike certain countries we've managed to almost eliminate covid.
Film is a Story, an Artist and a Director. None of these 3 major components is here present. I see even from this short trailer, that the artist work is terrible. Sorry for that :) I have never heard about this director nor dop.... and there is no screenwriter in credits...:))) because you have just filmed pointless slowmo shots to advertise the camera? Am I on Point?))
Making films is all well and good but this camera isn't really going to be used for film that much. Its going to see mostly ENG and corporate/promo work.

I really want this camera but the colours are horrible! So much red in the skin tones and it's generally just an unflattering image. Such a shame.

@@TelevisionCrews I forgot I said this. I’ve been a proud FX6 owner for months now. It’s a great camera! There’s a lot of bad footage out there from it from people who don’t seem to know what they’re doing.
Why on earth would you showcase a Canon lens on a Sony camera. Are you mad?
