Hi from PT!! Before torque the fork bolts... you need to torque the shaft... and upper stering base!! Aplly several pushes... on bike/man wheight... they need to rebound in order to become tightning all the bolts like ducati specs ... great job!!!

The left lock stop on your lower triple clamp has broken off. Which means your left hand bar will hit the tank and trap your thumb when tight turning left. R&G make some lock stop protectors which will solve the problem and are cheap but worthwhile doing before you road test the bike. I've had to do the same on my 1299.👍
Beautiful build! i have a 1199s had to replace the wiring harness and some internals it was a challenge, but I love the hard work and determination towards this bike, can’t wait to see the finished product!

So apparently on sport bikes the front tyre tread is always facing opposite for some reason. Some guy at a bike shop told me it's for braking purposes but idk. I just follow the arrows on the rim and tyre and line them up whenever I mount new tyres!

Man you need to properly tighten the steering head bold using the proper tool… that’s dangerous Also you need to align the forks with the wheel before torquing them down.. otherwise they wont line up

@@CJMediaOfficial The forks are clamped down by the lower and upper triple clamp. What you should do is slide both forks in, install the front wheel and then clamp them down. By doing so you can insure that the forks are not turned sideways in relation to each other.
@@Rellek ooo I understand now, aligning them so that one fork isn't longer than the other. That's smart, it's gunna take me a while to do tho since I've got to take everything off but for sure makes sense.

Never be in such a rush to test drive/ride that you're willing to cut corners. I knew someone who was in such a rush to drive his classic car that didn't finish bleeding his brakes, it ended up costing him his life.

I know I'm a bit late but iv only just discovered u. Watched the R1m and honda and now on th Duke. Loving it, but have to say, please stop putting the front directional tyre on backwards. U did it on th CBR and now th Duke.

@@CJMediaOfficial seriously!?!, Th tyre shops put them on like that?. If you think about what th grooves are there for, it'll make sense, and look at th back tyre, it's directional and on correctly. If you think that ur bolt upright and riding in th wet, th 2" or so strip in th centre of the tyre is what's in contact with the road and displacing the water, th grooves direct it away from th rest of th tyre when you're cornering, stops aquaplaning. Iv ridden bikes since I was 4 and now 47. Past my "direct access" and bought a brand new R6 2001 revised engine model( blue with black belly, gojus 😉). Iv done a fair bit of work on all my bikes so I know a few things. The tyres should have direction of rotation on th side. If I'm wrong then I'm going to forget everything iv ever learned and believe nothing ever again lol. 🤣👍
I have full factory exhaust and original seat and Wind Screen. Did you have all the parts you wanted and need.? I have 2014 1199 . Any factory parts are you still looking for?

All that effort and your going to ride it without a top triple clamp?....are you crazy, if that fork setup bends, it will snap the aluminium casting for the frame and you'll be back to square one!!!

dont ride it without the top yoke. Its too much pressure for the thin ally bottom yoke on its own and you could tweek the steering tube

A machine shop might be able to modify your triple clamp (triple tree) for far less than $500.
It's only a 2mm increase in radius.
Try to make out repaint the parts of the fairings instead of buying another one…It brings more satisfaction and interest in the rebuilds! ⚡️

When you were test riding it, did you have the bulbs already replaced? The colours still seem to be mismatched.
The brights are still yellow but the drls are bright white! They are mismatched when both on
