@@sambamproductions8883 I've tried this on my own, it ended up not looking like yours and I can see that the problem might be in Voronoi Node chaning. I'm guessing Voronoi Texture has changed with 4.1 Blender or something it does not look like in your video and have slightly different effect. I can't really figure out the way to make it look the same :( Also the colors are like 5 time duller then at yours video, I have no idea why
@@sambamproductions8883 what are your Color management settings in render properties? I've changed view transform to Standard (that I really use) and colors seems to be fixed
Hey there, really enjoying this effect. Do you have any suggestions on looping animations without an obvious jump as the empty returns to the default position at the start of the loop?
The only way I can think of is to bake the fire's animation so that all of the keyframes appear on the timeline, then copy the first keyframe into the last one and since they're now the same, the animation should loop.
Interesting stuff but can you like make more stuff in that kind of style like water and wind and stuff that would be nice and interesting Love your video :)
I'm not too familiar with games, but what I can suggest is you would need to bake the mesh in the animation and export it to an FBX or alembic file or render out the animation as a PNG sequence and import it into your game engine on a plane tracked to the camera. But that's a start, I don't work for games, so check online just in case.
super nice tutorial, i just think for future reference you need to be a tiny bit more specific with where you are editiing on ur shader noides somtimes, as towards the end at the smoke i was editiing the wrong ones and wondering why i wasnt getting the same results XDXD
@@bigbobbrainy It depends which Blender version you're using. If you're using 4.2, there's the answer there: blenderartists.org/t/blender-4-2-eevee-next-transparency/1539602/3
Thank you! I've never imported to a game engine before, but I would assume the textures (emission and transparency) and animation would have to be baked first.
I've never done this effect yet, but I can imagine drawn mud on a plane with a normal map added to simulate a depth effect. I'd start by checking stylized mud references online, first.
Yeah, doing it was a lot harder than watching it. Sometimes at some moments the quality was very bad because of this I had to squint very much to see what kind of shader you used. It's a pity that I don't speak English, I think it would be much easier to do it.
There could be different reasons: - The transparent node wasn't well connected to the 'Mix Shader' node. - Accidentally set the alpha blend in the 'shadow' setting just underneath. - The node setup leading to the transparent/mix shader node might be wrong (i.e. the colorramp node having the black and white values inverted or something else)
@@takaw.d8486 Blender has changed a bit since I made this tutorial. If you're using Eevee and want to make it glow, you have to add the 'Glare' node in the compositor tab and then activate the compositor in the viewport.
Might be one of the most comprehensive and cool tutorials for such a thing out there
Much appreciated :)
you're joking, right
i like how many extra little tips you snuck into the video

Hi! I enabled the alpha blend on EEVEE but still my flame won't go transparent? Any idea how to fix this?
