- This video will show you how to disassemble the Panasonic ES-LT71 shaver in order to replace the battery. It will also show you how to determine the +/- poles of a battery using a multimeter, for the rare occasion your replacement battery does not have the poles labeled.

NOTE: For the LF 71 - The screws taken out at 1:59 actually hold the handle plate, so you can't pull the handle plate off at this stage. You have to flip up the beard trimmer, undo a screw there, unclip the beard trimmer which then exposes those two screws. Only AFTER removing those screws can you lift off the handle plate. Just FYI. Slight difference in models.
How do you tell the voltage with a cheap multimeter and not an expansive klein multimeter? Thanks!
Best parameter to check these batteries is measure it's internal resistance in mili Ohms usually between 40-100 then the battery is OK.
Voltage is around 3.8-4.1V and internal resistance in Ohms range the battery is bad and cannot hold charge for long.
How do you do that with a multimeter? Do you have a video where I can see how this is done? Thanks!
