- Video showing how to replace the two rechargable batteries, including disassembly and assembly of Panasonic professional hair clippers ER1611, ER1610 and ER160.
The original batteries recomended price is about 25 EUR, however you can find them on amazon for arround 10 to 17 EUR - check these links:

These batteries are different from the standard AA batteries, both in form factor and voltage. You can not use normal rechargable AA, because they won't supply enough current and their voltage is normally 1.2 V. I measured the voltage of the original Panasonic batteries and they are at 1.7 V.
At 5:56, your leaf spring (the clicker for the dial) is upside down. The little bump should point towards the top of the trimmer, so you get a satisfying click when you turn the dial.
helped a lot! thanks! the rubber direction is not so clear/ also pay attention to the spring when disassembly.
the editing and the marks on the "plastic part" shows you had hard time to remove it. why not mentioning that and show how you did it eventually? thanks for the video
I ended up using a dremmel to drill a hole where the screw is. The hole allowed me better access to pry off the black plate. Before I did this I tried heating it up with a hair dryer to relax the glue. That did not work. Drill a hole, it’s easier.
Thank you that was helpful. I’ve used some batteries made in China which arrived without much charge - so will see if they are up to standard
Your video was helpful
You assembled the silver little bracket for the wheel wrong! It's not working correctly that way!
Exactly, you have to mount the silver bracket the other way around as shown in this video.
You put silver bracket wrong side up so the wheel isn’t clicking anymore!!! And you didn’t show how to demount black plastic cover from the top, which is pain in the ass.
There is a mistake here!!!! The leaf spring under the switch is assembled upside down from the moment of the initial disassembly, it is upside down and therefore the switch will not work properly
Exactely
Thank you for your effort showing this. However for ME this is close to ROCKET SCIENCE :)
😅
Merci pour le tuto ! ça m'a bien aidé 😉👍

can you make the video of Panasonic Battery replacement of ERGY10K body groomer trimmer.
Thanks otherwise i would have been lost
I replace mine also because the last year I was using it only on the mains. The batteries died. I ordered exactly the same batteries as you, but when I charge the light remains red. Left it for 3 hours charging the green did not light up. It is working now with the batteries but I don't know how long they last. I will see on my next use. Are yours charging and the green light turn on?
On the ER1611 the led doesn't turn green when charged. It goes from steady red light (charging) to blinking red light (charged).
its rechargebal battery is Available. In India. ? i am in iindia. please help me .
מאיפה אפשר להשיג את הבטריות האלו?

The wheel feels less clicky now but i don't care i only use 0.8mm

Une vrai galere
Better buy a trimmer with an easier way to replace the battery! Manufacturers like this should go to hell with their stupid ideas!
There is a mistake here!!!! The leaf spring under the switch is assembled upside down from the moment of the initial disassembly, it is upside down and therefore the switch will not work properly.
