Panasonic too huge for under nose? I am fine with blade except around lips. Best electric shaver for there t get fine hairs really close to lips without cutting lips? Thanks.
You pay a few hundred for the Braun 9 and it doesn't even come with a clip-on plastic head guard like it's predecessor. Plus the head is much bigger, a childs fist size, whilst the foils size is actually smaller! The foils wore out with holes in every corner and you can't buy new foils you have to buy a whole new head. The cheapest I found was still over $50 with shipping and one outlet had it at $124! One RUclipsr suggested putting cellotape over the holes to make it last, so now you're have a $300 product with cellotape keeping it going! I've never used the cleaning station - another money maker for Braun as I can clean the head perfectly wall under the tap. If you do this and then put it in the charger it gives it that lemony smell and the liquid cartridge can last for years. A full charge does last me a month though, which is good. There is no indication of which way round the head goes on.
Thanks for the video! I used an Andis foil shaver years ago on my completely shaved head and am looking to go back to an electric for that purpose. I have the fx3, and it seems to be irritating most my clients (unless I keep an extreme light touch, but that takes much longer, and I'm no pushing in much to begin with). I think it might be an issues with the hole sizes in the foil. Idk. I'm not impressed
@@tuscanleather Red marks/ irritation. And the foils are not compromised. Happens whenever I put a bit of pressure on the shaver (which it should be able to handle, my other shavers do). It could be my unit is faulty, although I've tested it on my fingers, and it seems to be the holes on the shaver are a bit large. So with pressure, the skin is kinda getting nipped ever so slightly on the blades causing irritation. Disclaimer though, pretty much all my clients are super white, so it is possible their skin is slightly more sensitive.

I just stumbled into your channel through this video because I'm in the market for a new shaver (personal home use, not a barber). I've had a Braun foil shaver for years and was thinking about switching to a rotary shaver this time around. Since all of the options included in this video are foil shavers, I'd assume you think that's the best option, would love to hear why you prefer foil over rotary (if that is indeed the case). I guess I should add this would just be for neck/face use as I don't shave my head.
@RUclips BARBER ACADEMY Eddie. You cutting grass with them 😀? Yeah man. I don't cut a lot of volume. Appreciate you and your channel more than you will ever know. Keep grindin!
so, what you are saying (read between the lines) that the fx3 and rebel will blow away any of the "dedicated head shavers" no matter the amount of cutters they have (3-8d), i.e. pit bull, remington, cheaper knock off amazon type of concave hand held head shavers. being a pro that you are i would assume that you only deal with professional level tools and not anything lower, hence the video. i just wanted to know before i make my purchase because i was looking at possibly buying either the pit bull or cheaper knock off version, but now, i might change it to the rebel. thanks for the response from earlier and i wish you a merry xmas and a happy new year with much more success. thank you.

You can use all these also on your face right?
Yup
Great video, very thorough.
Glad it was helpful!
Do you think the FX3 is better than the Pro?
Fx3 is a hard shaver to beat
Sounds like it. Thanks for your reply 👊🏽
Fx3 for me is 2nd and the gold babyliss pro is #1.
I'm confused by gold babyliss pro and how they name their foil shavers. Is the one you use the FX01 or FX02?
Would the wahl vanish also be good for getting a smooth shave at home? I've got big dysphoria about my facial hair growth but my safety razor gives me major razor burn, so i'm looking for an alternative that'll give me that smooth soft face without also making it red.
Thank you for your reviews. I’m looking to ditch the razor and cream on my faze for an electric shaver. Would the rebel do the job to get as close to a razor shave or should I look into other options.
It will get you super close no prob
I just got the Braun Series 9 sport from Costco...I was using Series 5 for a long time, and this series 9 is such an upgrade for me. Great video though!!
FX3 still 🔥🔥🔥
I have the fx02. What's the difference in terms of shaving closeness with the fx3?
@@Dominicreviews never tried the 2 brotha tbh, but i can tell you the 3 gets about as close as you can get and is super smooth and comfortable
True
Cuál de tds me recomiendas para Aser una buena inversión
@ Alex Cruz yo te recomiendo la FX3 y la nueva rebel
Fully agree on your concerns about Andis, it's sad but true. Great comparison and ranking system bro 💪🏽
Thanks bro!
What would you recommend the best for the beard and to get rid of 5 o’clock shadow
all of them can do that so i would just get the lowest cost one for personal use. The Rebel shaver
which shaver to shave his head at 0 or very close and do that very fast?
I won't have the time for the army to take 10min to shave
Good information
Where can i get the red gloves?
Can you use this on your mustache?
I clicked on the FX3 and I see a black FX3 razor. Are they both the same?
panasonic arc 5 mows through hair. gotta get it down pretty close yeah but truthfully who doesn’t bring down the hair close before using a shaver. arc 5 is easy to clean, and gets bald enough. i got mine on black friday last year for 89 but it doesn’t come with a stand. i honestly have never charged it during the day as i recharge at night
Great breakdown for sure.
thank you! cant wait for the black fx3
I would like to see the shavers evaluated on a weighted system.
I use the Remington shaver F3 it does a close shave but missed under the chin even after I gone over it multiple times
Thanks 🙏🏽
You’re welcome 😊
I have the fx3, and it seems to be irritating most my clients (unless I keep an extreme light touch, but that takes much longer, and I'm no pushing in much to begin with). I think it might be an issues with the hole sizes in the foil. Idk. I'm not impressed
It leaves your clients red? Or what exactly happens? I’m trying to decide between the fx3 shavers or rebels
@@tuscanleather
Red marks/ irritation.
@@maurice7551
I have shave stick and pre shave, but with a supposedly the best shaver, I really shouldn't need it.
I have been testing it more, and it could be I got unlucky on the first couple clients I used it on, but I'm having much less issues now with irritation. So could be those clients were sweaty, and the extra friction made a difference, or just plain sensitive skin.
Either way, still not impressed with the performance based off the hype, and like the stylecraft uno much better
@@abeg3674 Hello, Abe quick question, does the FX3 Pro shave closer and more gently on the scalp than the FX2 Gold Pro, or the other way around? what is the exact difference
Would you say the FX3 is quieter than the S/C Prodigy? Also how would you quickly compare the Prodigy to the Rebel?
Which should i buy if i already have the braun series 9, babyliss fx3, and babyliss fx2?
WAHL Vanish?
What else do you really need? If I had those already, I would use the 9 because it is fast and the fx3 or 2 to hit what the braun misses.
FX3 or FX02 Silver Sir?? Im thinking about buying one of them
I really prefer the performance and feel of the FX three. In fact, I think I would wait for the black one because I believe it’s coming out very soon matte black.
Bro the fx shaver is the same that fx3?. Wich is better
SC rebel says not in stock until march anywhere else to grab one?
Wahl all day baby
Which one should I choose for shaving my face? I have sensitive skin but still want as close as I can without compromising that can someone lmk asap please ty
Also I’m kinda stuck between the arc 5 and the wahl
Arc 5 is not good for sensitive skin. The Arc's and Series 9 miss the pesky face hairs. I also use a Mach 3 and it does great on the face. @@samsummers6419
Can you give me your take on Braun latest series vs Tonsor Pro? Thanks.
Little confused. In your 2022 review you gave the fx3 a comfort score of 2 stating it was the most harsh and now it has a 4? What changed?
I don’t believe it was the same machine, also the way that I have graded them has changed
I thought I was tripping too but it is the same. It's the winner from last year. See a link to your video last year below. Can you say how your grading changed? I was getting ready to buy based off your helpful review but haulywd when I saw the 2022 ranking.

Can the FX3 shave with soap?
Or with gel?
i never know what you mean by more or less comfortable. for you, or for my face?
Great video thanks
Great, review, thanks! Man, I was kinda digging the FX3 in red, apparently it changed to black in the last month.
I had just about every professional shaver on the market. The style craft rebel is on another level. It literally just eats hair…
It sure does man
Im looking for a new foil, take it has plenty of power? Had the wahl, andis and now got the babyliss…
@@IKenexPSN go with the rebel! Tons of power
Is it safe for extra sensitive skin?
@@Man_eee probably would go with the Braun series 9 for sensitive skin
Which shaver would you recommend for shaving your facel hair, the rebel or the fx?
update?
@@JJ-vp3bd Never got a reply. :(
I just stumbled into your channel through this video because I'm in the market for a new shaver (personal home use, not a barber).
What about the norelco 9000 prestige?
I just stumbled to your channel currently at target store looking for a good shaving machine.
The bayliss is what I am looking for thanks
Adis shaver or Uno 2.0 shaver ?
Nice review 👍✊💯
Uv or rebel shaver 🤔
Why are professional shavers cheaper than consumer grade??? I don't understand why EVERYONE would not just buy the REBEL or FX3???
Haha thats just because regular people are not doing the research, you are right tho, those 2 are great options.
Andis old school shaver still the best!
If they lasted longer than a month they would have been on for sure had so many last year like 4 all die in a month
@RUclips BARBER ACADEMY Eddie. You cutting grass with them 😀? Yeah man. I don't cut a lot of volume. Appreciate you and your channel more than you will ever know. Keep grindin!
@@BigT1523 thanks man!
Ive had good luck with the rose gold / copper ones.
@@RUclipsBarberAcademy where do you think you would've ranked the andis profoil plus on the list if they weren't breaking on you?
so, what you are saying (read between the lines) that the fx3 and rebel will blow away any of the "dedicated head shavers" no matter the amount of cutters they have (3-8d), i.e. pit bull, remington, cheaper knock off amazon type of concave hand held head shavers. being a pro that you are i would assume that you only deal with professional level tools and not anything lower, hence the video. i just wanted to know before i make my purchase because i was looking at possibly buying either the pit bull or cheaper knock off version, but now, i might change it to the rebel. thanks for the response from earlier and i wish you a merry xmas and a happy new year with much more success. thank you.
I keep hearing great things about fx3 so I'm gonna go for it, thx for the thorough video !
Is it good?
so?
I really like it definitely one of the best I've used!
@@c0lelee how short does it cuts?
The rebel shaves better than the fx3 and faster. I have both
Does it leave irritation?
@@SP-ig3vs yes mainly under neck
So the Fx3 is the closest to the razor?
The FX three and the Rebel are about identical in the length that they leave
@@RUclipsBarberAcademywhat about WAHL Vanish?
I'm not enjoying ordering on the barber shop link. Only had to put in all my info twice because it does not recognize my address. Since UPS doesn't ring door bells I suppose I can just leave my apartment number out and hope no one steals it buy the time I get a delivery notice.
I got the arc 5💯
How can Braun and Panasonic charge 300 bucks for their products when you are saying that FX3 and rebel shaver are better in all aspects!!
Too me the FX3 is the best!
Great video my man so informative and going to help loads of people decide which one they choose.. have a great Christmas brother #eddiesarmy
You shouldn't give andis resurge 5 point for closeness because it's not that close I would give it only 3or 4
I kind of thought that as well but if you push hard enough, it actually gets pretty close
Hello sir im search best shaver machin please send name name the machin
If barbershop shavers like rebel & fx3 win these kinds of comparisons, why would anyone pay ~$600 for Braun / Panasonic?!
