I, a hopeless poe addict with 5000 hours in ssf, procrastinated my responsibilities today to bring you this video, where I share my thoughts on how to progress efficiently in ssf, get money, and craft some sick items :)
By doing the stuff in this guide, I was able to clear all content in the game in 4-5 days (using Boneshatter Jugg), farm 1500 fusings, and craft a pretty nice 6link end game weapon.
Ultimately this is just a basic guide, and you should do what's fun for you. After all, SSF is supposed to be a fun mode where you relax and farm some random shit. And I probably forgot a few things in the video, too... 🤔

Bro. Legit life savior. I've decided to start SSF this time because in previous trade leagues i was just waiting for other people to sell me stuff/ buy from me, instead of actually playing. This video even today was very useful, gonna use it through out my mapping for sure.
Yo, i dont say this to many players. But I want more of this stlye video. You have a very calm and concise way of explaining mechanics and progression. I have been playing POE since closed beta. I dont like many content creators. One of my favorite being Lighty (ssf). Can you please keep making content like this, maybe explain each mechanic, but in an SSF mindset way;. I used to play HC only but always laughed when i watched click bait videos with characters with 0% exp cause they died 100 times. Keep up the good work
I’m new to PoE and SSF. I decided to embark on the SSF journey to avoid trading as I’ve kept finding myself trading for currency to trade for items without even understanding much about the whole experience. As a new player, I just wanted to say thank you for taking your time to publish content such as this guide. This was quite informative and I will certainly increase my efficiency following the wisdom passed down from this guide.
Out of all the stuff I read/listened to last week to catch up on the latest (as of 3.21) SSF metas since playing Expedition, this is by far the most detailed and to the point video - with text ;) - I've seen. As someone said, this is now my official go-to/defacto guide to get someone to enjoy SSF and by extension PoE.

For SSF crafting boots is very simple and deterministic. Wait till you drop a base you want with a decent resist fracture (actually more common than you would think)> Essence spam it with another resist essence till you get 3 nice suffixes (tripple res or double res + suppress) > suffixes cant be changed and use a veiled chaos >block mana > Unveil for almost 100% guaranteed movespeed> craft life.
How do you block mana?
@@IdlestHands you just bench craft mana. So after you used the veiled chaos orb, before you unveil with jun, you craft mana.
Exactly the same steps can be performed for most items. Step 1: correct base + good fracture. Step 2: Essence/Fossil/spam. Step 3: Lock suffixes. Step 4: Aisling #1. Step 5: Block. Step 6: Aisling #2. Step Bench craft.

As a noob, I must say that I LOVE your content. I would love you to do a similar video to this, update it for the new season and then dumb it down a little. You have a great way of explaining, but it is still presuming we know a little more than we do (or at least I do). But overall please keep it up!
You’ve got a massive new fan, I’ve played on and off for a few years and only ever gotten to killing warlord, conqueror etc. I’ve been trying SSF this league as the guild I am in is dead and I loved your concise and manageable explanations. I’d love to see you make more guides that focus on crafting in different styles within SSF. It’s a shorter form content that’s also pretty ever lasting as there is so much a d and you can end videos with a link to a “check out my crafting guide in SSF Delve or SSF Blight” even if you dislike that mechanic within SSF as you’d hit more of the player base. For example I am liking SSF but I love delve, it’s fun for me, even if it’s not as rewarding. I hate heist, it’s so freaking RIPPY for me. Great video!

Yea. I was just looking for SSF guide a few days ago so this was a blessing. Other than this you find only 2 videos from Zizaran and they are quite outdated and focus on old atlas stuff rather than tips and tricks that persist.

Depending on what you're crafting Delve can be 100% the way to go and not useless. Appreciate the content, I learned a lot and have been playing a long time.
I don't comment often but thank you a lot for this video, this is such a good work, I'm a new player and I play Trade but I like to be able to craft my items myself for knowledge and do as much as I can on my own, so really thank you for this content. Plus you have a really pleasing voice that makes the entire video a breeze to listen. (sorry if there are mistakes in the sentences, english is not my first language)

holy shit this guide was amazing. im done with the maps now but feeling aimless at lvl 92. build isn't strong enough to clear bosses so im going to take the time to learn some fights and use this info going into next league. ty for the upload

I play SSF since Kalandra's Lake and I liked it a lot: managing to farm div cards, to craft, for my build was very rewarding.
With Kirac's missions, I like to check if there's a "Find the stack of Divination Cards" missions. Most of time it will be a full set of common div cards (common currencies/fragments) but there are chances to have good things if you're lucky with the map and the loot (for ex, 6-linked item div cards in early mapping, or even some gamebreaker items if you're very very very lucky on some T16 missions).
This was incredibly helpful as a new player. Trying to wrap my head around all these league mechanics has almost made my head explode lol, but you answered a lot of questions I had. I hope you do this again next league!

This is the video I needed and never existed. Perfect summary for mid-level players wanting to get into SSF. Keep making this long form direct content, most ""in depth"" stuff is geared towards new players / trade players.

Just decided to play SSF as my main game type your videos have been amazing keep them up, hard to find entry level SSF concepts + adopting a different play stlye

Edit: I've found blight is actually the best way to farm ilvl 86+ bases, doing blight ravaged maps is super easy and will drop wayyyyy more ilvl 87 bases than you could ever use in SSF.
Always great to find a low key CC who is passionate, especially about SSF.
Just getting back into poe after a couple years away so very helpful!
Something to consider on Shadow Shaping, which might be implied in the name, is using it to block maps. This would support ping-pong when you have a need for that to focus on a specific Div card or whatever.

Just what I was looking for coming back to the game after a long break. Tried playing trade for a moment but it just didn't feel right, so I was looking for a good strat for ssf.
The audio however is a bit on the quiet side and I had to adjust my amp and stuff to hear it properly. If you are adjusting the audio level with one of those meters that go from green to yellow to red, It is fine if it goes red at times. Compare this videos volume to one from some big channel and maybe you'll see what I mean.

Wow this was so much useful stuff. One thing I don't think you mentioned is that Rog/Gwennen regularly gives you high level bases 85/86 that you can use for crafting, as long as you're level 90 or higher I believe. Mostly useful for HC I guess since you don't even need to have entered red maps.

For caster/spell characters, I think ritual is a great option, as they uncommonly, but not rarely, will have the caster weapon rewards. Often times, you can get good added dmg/spell dmg/ +gem levels and multimod from there. While Rog is S tier, I find that caster weapons are especially hard to make with him, so ritual makes up for that. Additionally, the hail mary rewards can happen too, such as onslaught/curse on hit rings, enlightens, divines, etc. Stuff that can REALLY send your build through the roof.
Heist is another option for better weighted stat weapons, but takes a lot more time/investment in my opinion.

Really good stuff in here. I disagree with the Delve assessment (granted I'm biased as I really enjoy it) as I think fossils are just amazing for crafting and cities have amazing loot not to mention chase item in Auls Uprising, but this is overall a super helpful video
